There was a signal bridge of similar construction in Louisville that was taken down last year. It stood a mile north of Osborn Yard, known as FX Tower. CSX put in a new bridge with the darth vader signals about a 100yds south, then removed the old bridge not long after. I figure it must have been there since the 20s or 30s. Since it was L&N country, they used the searchlight signals.
I have a few CPL's and parts from around Ohio, had to reassemble and clean/rewire them from the scrappers, I have one working so far, need more parts lol.

Thats depressing...I've seen those signals since I was born...Would detour that way just to look at em...Hate to think how long it will be before HX Tower comes down.
That's a sad sight. I hope that I can mannage to get one of these old CPL's as well. In the video I can tell that they lowered the old CPL's with some dignity. Down here on the old C&O they cut the bases and let them fall to the ground. The B&O may be slowly dissapearing, but the C&O is fading faster.
This was the Westward Absolute Signal bridge for Halethorpe (HX) interlocking, not Lansdowne. Rumor had it that it was going to be saved for the B&O Museum, but it was cut up into at least two big pieces on either side of the tracks and is sort of twisted up. Shame, it would have been an intersting piece of Baltimore RR history for the museum to have.
You should have asked them if you could get a piece from that! That would be a very cool if you got one of the signal lights!

The Titanic went down quicker than this thing...
It seems like CSX would love to get rid of everything about the B&O - very sad.
