It's so rediculous it's like trying to get people to stop smoking cigarettes. It isn't gonna happen. I smoke weed daily not for fun but mostly for pain I am 23 and have chronic pains in my joints and have frequent headaches. No it's not life threatening but marijuana helps me out. I am all for legalizing marijuana it's not a drug it's a natural medication and does no harm.

I think that medical marijuana use is fine but I don't see why we need to use that as an excuse to legalize it. The reason it should be legal is not just so sick people can get their pain eased but because it is our damn right to be able to choose what we put into our own damn bodies. You can abuse anything if you are stupid and over use it however no matter how much pot you smoke in one sitting you can never overdose on it. Freedom is what is missing from america ironic isn't it

This bill makes little sense. A person who has multiple sclerosis can use marijuana for "pain"relief but if you have pain that is not caused by a disease listed then you cant get it ? Pain is pain and marijuana relieves pain, so why does it matter what is causing the pain ? Fuck compromising on logic and science !

From what I understand there are different pains as there are different causes of pain.

MS and other spinal spinal problems cause neuropathic pain, basically like a deadening of the nerves, and since cannabis promotes neurogenesis, creation of new nerve cells, it helps mitigate those symptoms.

Smoking weed cause someone bashed you in the head with a brick isn't going to have the same sort of effect.

Im sure it will go through, once they strip it down so only people that are on their death bed(or already death), that only have ms or aids can use it, even though it is safer than advil or tylenol, which a child can by without a doctor recommendtion. This country is hick-ass backwords !
