  • amazing!! but the best vocals ive heard by freddie is on the song how can i go on.

  • Great singer...but not the best in my opinion. I would give that honor, hands down, to Marvin Gaye.

  • @KrfNYC2 Otis Redding beats Marvin Gaye easily (just my opinion anyway...)

  • @jackdaws81 I disagree. Otis was great and had soul, but so did Marvin. And Marvin had much more range and vocal control.

  • The best...n1 STOP. I still love you Freddie...<3

  • Freddie mercurie. Lover of life, singer og songs. Best vocalist ever lived.

But i have to say that all of you should check out Jan werner. He is also dead, but a great voice, it was some talk around him som time that he was going to sing a rehersal for queen. Check him out ;)

  • @THANATOS112220 actually... it WAS freddie... not roger...

  • Error 404: Auto-tune not found.

  • 6:34-6:42 wasn't Freddie, it was another badass called Roger Taylor.

  • Badass Freddie was awesome back then. Billions of years of evolution has created what I would call the closest to perfection a human can get, Freddie Mercury (at least if you are talking about singing).

  • Happy birthday Freddie. Hope they have a big party for you in heaven today.

  • excellent could not have said it better myself saw 5x amazing band freddie unsurpassed voice of all time ty

  • WHAT ABOUT FLASH GORDON!!!!

  • Well done...

  • bohemian rhapsody is de N°1 Queen song!!!!

  • @Limpmania no i think we will rock you beats it, more popular

  • heros lives forever but legends never dies - Freddie is a legend!

  • No.1 Because

His Timbre is Rival to Pavarotti

His Range f2 to B5 ( See what a Fool Ive Been) is the song if you don't believe me

So much POWER in his voice and its done tastefully Not SCREAMED

    His Versatility.

His Runs are amazing... (Somebody To love)

And BEST OF ALL!!! HE HAS NO VOCAL TRAINING EVER!!!! At least that we know about :)

  • A MELHOR VOZ DE TODOS OS TEMPOS...........SEM DUVIDAS.....FROM AÇORES

  • Amazing list - after all, everything Queen did and Freddie sang was pure gold - but there's one glaring exclusion I think should have made the top ten, if not been second behind Rhapsody - Bijou was missing from this list.

  • Maybe best rock singer but Steve Perry might have something to say about that. If you go to different genres, you have guys like Luther Vandross, Marvin Gaye etc. You need to broaden your knowledge of music before you make statements like that.

  • @nattydread329 It is funny that you write about different genres while trying to point out that Freddie is not good in singing in different music styles... I wonder who needs to broaden his knowledge about music... Not to mention he wrote his songs that are pure genius, among which a whole opera album! Freddie and Queen singlehandedly created new styles in music with some of their songs. You were saying?

  • Why was Love of My Life so low on the list? Oh well. :( Good list otherwise.

  • Freddie is no.1 because his versatile voice and his stage presence...no1 voice and no 1 frontman.

  • @Upc88 Oh yeah, Freddie is nuber 1 for mè. You cannot talk for all of us, FOR ME and IN MY OPINION, Freddie is the best

  • @Upc88 Just to add his song writing... :)

  • if seen this video about 60 times and i just cant get enough of freddie the best man ever to exist..... ever, there is literally no one who is just more spectacular than him, what a guy .

  • I like Freddie very much, but I prefer Elvis. Elvis had an incredibly versatile voice and anything he recorded from 1960-1963 sounded so easy, but it isn't.

  • why fredie mercury is the best singer?...

simple....because he is....and he will be....even when hes dead he still the best singer and make an album...

example "made in heaven"...the album really mark fredie voice...MADE IN HEAVEN

  • Oh Baby...Can't do this to me Baby...just gotta get out. just gotta get right out of here....Love You Baby!!!

  • prophet song is amazing

  • the prophet's song. nothing more...

  • where's Killer Queen man

  • If you want to hear a really great Freddie vocal type in Freddie Mercury the golden boy 2nd early version. Check out Freddie's voice on the crazy tour very powerful. If this was my video I would have it in around 4 parts for all the other great songs too but I love this video. I personally don't think there is a great singer just many greats.

  • Freddie started with a voice that was ok but he developed a great voice Roger Taylor says "when I first knew Freddie he sounded like a sheep it was this powerful bleet and he fashioned himself into this incredible powerful singer. Look at Freddie on songs like the show must go on he could hardly stand but still he hit the D5 in one take. During the Sun city concerts in 1984 he spat blood out and lost his voice but he was back on stage 4 days later. He also had vocal fold nodules.

  • Freddie also hit's an A0 while speaking although maybe not count it towards his range but in total he has A0-F6 which is 5 octaves and 5 notes or 5 Octaves,5 notes and 1 semi tone because he hits a brief F#6 a scream though but still hit during it's late around 4:30. Freddie was a low Tenor. It's safe to say he didn't have the best vocal technique but that's with lack of professional training. He did however have a natural voice which he trained on his own.

  • @rekoonsghjkl did he hit an A0.......really? where can I hear it?

  • @elgranfary Well he spoke it during that interview where he talks about the great pretender and working with Montserrat. I'm not sure at what part it was a little bit of vocal fry. He also speaks a C2 the reason I mentioned it is because he would clearly be able to sing those notes. I think the smoking may have helped his lower register as it made his voice husky.

  • Ok been reading comments on her about someone saying Brad Delp is better than Freddie well mate that's your opinion he was a great singer. Brad has a good upper register. Range isn't everything but I'm not sure Brad goes higher than Freddie ok at the end of it's late Freddie hits E6, he also hit's D6,C#6,C6.... live in an Impromptu. Freddie's lowest note is is F2 but he can speak lower and people tell me that counts towards your range. so that would be C2-F5(F6 in falsetto).

  • Michael was good at what he did....promoting the ultimate entertainment package....dancing, singing, writing. But Freddie was one of the top 3 rock musicians (ie, vocalist, writer, innovator) of all time. Queen may be the most innovative rock group ever, and that would be over Led Zeppelin and anyone else you can think of. I say this from a pure technical and creative perspective.

  • both were REALLY great n thats it... ..

  • omg 4 a loot of ppl not all.... how can u compare in such a cruel n rude way 2 really GREAT singers like Michael Jackson (^-^ im a really big fan of his) n freddie mercury... i mean WOW... both had a really BIG BIG BIG gift that god gave to them... n maybe even more than 1 gift n both of them used it in a really good way, i mean i think michael had a better voice because u could feel what he felt singuing the song n because of moooore stuff bt i mean just stop insulting because u think different

  • Sorry, but I still think Michael was as good singer as Freddie.

  • if you are not gay, you may cast a vote on this

  • Queen is the besttt!!!!!!!!!!!

  • michael jack son is better

  • @MrHubert2001"michael jack son is better"you are perfectly entitled to like Jackson more .however to suggest that Michel was as capable a vocalist as Freddie is just silly .

  • @MrHubert2001 This is biggest folly in your live

  • @MrHubert2001 DAMN STRAIGHT!!!

  • Exquizit my friend, truly his greatest moments.

  • The greatest!!

  • :D i looove it

    but stone cold crazy =(

  • bloody shirtlifter

  • Perfect artist and entertainer! Unbeatable! Only! Unique voice!

  • Freddie is the best singer and performer,no one comes close to him.We will never forget you.

  • 8 people should have AIDS

  • thumps up for nr 1 !!!

  • no-one even comes close talent wise to freddie mercury

  • I am PROUD to be a Freddie Mercury / Queen fan. I saw then 4 times in concert INCLUDEING Live Aid. Of course Freddie is the BEST singer ever. Name 5 singers who can sing differant styles of music WITH power, emotion and musical PERFECTION. Yes, there are good, a few great singer BUT they have one style and it works for them. Freddie tried EVERYTHING and it not only worked it was AMAZEING. To date I have not heard ANYONE remotely close to Freddie s talent and awesomeness

  • The greatest voice rock has ever seen. PERIOD.

  • im wondering who the hell are this 7 stupid ppl who disliked this mazing video.

he has the best voice ever lived in our age.

  • and we will rock you???

  • his voice is beautiful,no one can beat ,he is the best, fucking amazing!!

  • @mohammadghaffari

    Vete de aqui!

  • Adam Lambert could be Freddie Mercury's reincarnation. They would have made awesome music together.

  • @elizmsmith bullshit, he is not even CLOSE to freddie in ANY WAY

  • Awsome. No one else comes close! But i think the creator of thid movie forgot about Breakthru! ;-)

  • why hes the best ever? cause he could sing any fucking song and sound great, the rest is too one-dimensional

  • Freddie è il miglior cantante di tutti i tempi..non c sono dubbi..

  • Don't forget : Freddie was and will be forever the best singer ! He is not dead , he sleep. Why ? A god never die.

  • @strummerocks I think you don't know what you say. It's not brilliant.

  • @strummerocks stfu and suck jesus cock ok?

  • @cleldu63 He was no God. The Devil? Maybe. A sinner who will burn in hell for all his wanton debauchery

  • @cleldu63 May I ask, how old are you?

  • Freddie Mercury is just head and shoulders above Michael Jackson!!! i'm sorry.

  • best singer AFTER Michael Jackson, I'm sorry.

  • @unbreakable1mj I don't think so.. Michael is a good singer, but he's not better than Freddie. Anyway Jacko is great!

  • are you kidding me? michael sounded like a hopeless baby, he was good but mercury is head and shoulders above everyone else, just listen to their song state of shock and look who was the main vocals in that version, jackson was repeating everything after fred

  • @unbreakable1mj IN YOUR DREAMS LOSERRR!!

  • @unbreakable1mj Michael was nowhere near Freddies vocal skills...

  • The best singer ever :D

I didn't see We Will Rock Your or Save Me... The Great Pretender, One Vision, It's a Hard Life, Another One Bites The Dust, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Seaside Rendevouz, Killer Queen, I Wan't To Break Free, Lazing on a Sunday Afternoon...

    Anyway, great video.

  • Aretha Franklin destroys this clown.

  • @Supernaturalalisa U crazy? she was good, but not better!

  • @Supernaturalalisa Hahahahahahaha...

    Wait, it wasn't a joke? Really? o.o

    So then...

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

  • aretha who?

  • @89Please Aretha Franklin the Queen of soul and a singer Freddie admired very much.

  • @Supernaturalalisa lolllllll, aretha franklin is so fucking great, but freddie is a real god!!!

  • @Supernaturalalisa fuck YOU! freddie pisses all over her head, she is NOTHING compared to freddie you fucking clueless jackass

  • Im just 17 but im so happy that my dad raised me within his music! This is the real thing and i feel so sorry that i never got the chance to see this legend live, but he will forever be with me, he's better than The Beatles, Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson! R.I.P the greatest ever

  • All God's people is another great example!

  • What about 'Bring back that Leroy Brown', 'Somebody to love', 'Flash', 'Under Pressure' A4 falsetto! ' 'Princess of the Universe'????? thers loads of examples of where Freddie Mercury just wipes the floor with most rock singers not to mention his live performances which is where he really did prove himself as a credible singer and also in his work with Caballe! Are you saying the guitar doesnt aid the voice of brad? haha Freddie aided the guitar as did Steve Perry of Journey! no cliche just true

  • Comment removed

  • @mercuryforeva I also have songs i miss in this video, but Freddie has done so many songs, and he kicks ass in every song he makes. So this video would have to be about a week long to get all songs in there.. :)

  • (LLLLLL)

  • @bijeleudovice2 not to mention Freddie died at his peak, which has a weird way of making people huge. Again, I think he's one of the greatest rock singers in history, and one of my personal favorites ever, but not number one. Brad holds that title in my eyes, but to each is own, right?

  • @bijeleudovice2 Brad had a wider range than Freddie, as much as I've heard of. Go to the full version of more than a feeling and skip to 3:37. Not only does Brad sing the extremely high melody, but even a higher harmony above that, AND holds the vibrato. Freddie's vibrato was very shaky, like when he sings "champions..of the woooooorld..." it comes and goes. Brad could also sing those things. The only reason Brad isn't recognized is because Boston's career wasn't as successful as Queen's.

  • @StephenHardyMusic LMFAO are you out of your mind? The human voice range is 1-9...Freddie reached 2-7. Beat that, not even Brad lmao

  • @Guibu2 LMFAO no I'm not out of my mind...? Listen to more than a feeling (not the music video because it's shorter), but the audio track and skip ahead to 3:37. Both the melody and the even higher harmony are hit perfectly. Find me a song where Freddie Mercury hits higher than that and I'll change my mind, but it sounds like you have your work cut out for you

  • @StephenHardyMusic "It's late" (1977), "Great King Rat" (1973), and maybe a couple more.

  • @Guibu2 I listened to both of those and the highest notes he hits are those that Brad sings on a regular basis. We can have different opinions on who we like more but it's a fact that Freddie can't hit as high as Brad could. There's only one part on Great King Rat, around the 5:06 mark where Freddie gets high, but the guitar is played over it to hide any imperfections and he has to descend because he couldn't hold it. Brad could higher notes longer. Nobody can find a single imperfection with him

  • @StephenHardyMusic Higher doesn't mean better; Freddie had the perfect blend of voice and range, but I love Brad too, before I knew about Queen, Brad Delp was my favorite singer ever. Up to this point it's just a matter of taste I guess.

  • Freddie is a good singer, but saying he's the best is very cliche and it's just something people say. If someone actually sits down and listens to a vocal performance, Brad Delp from Boston, at least in my opinion, is by far the greatest rock singer that's ever lived. Speaking from a professional standpoint, Brad's technicalities were better than Freddie's, but I guess it's just a matter of how the voice hits the ear.

  • it wasn't hard to guess Bo Rhap was number 1 :)

  • The best singer forever.

  • So many years since he has been gone, his magnificent range in his voice that he had brings me to tears. I remember seeing Queen in concert especially at the Beacon Theatre in New York, no one could compare to Freddie then or now in my opinion.

  • No puede ser que no este Its a hard life ni Save me!!! Y Dont stop me now en el puesto 16????? Me enamore de su voz con esa cancion!

Perdon, no me gusta criticar pero esto no podia dejarlo pasar! :P

    Igualmente es un gran trabajo...

  • @plutao Where's Jussi Björling?

I love Queen! I love Freddie forever!

  • Its astonishing in how many ways he was able to use his voice - his passagio was just incredible.
