I also was horribly deceived by the NEW AGE movement. all of that "Christ Consciousness" love and light, Ascension, meditation. It is all purely demonic, that is; coming from FALLEN SPIRITS guised as ANGELS OF LIGHT.
The beliefs of the NEW AGE are the exact same lies of Lucifer in the Garden, [Genesis 3:5] and YOUR EYES SHALL BE OPENED [Enlightened] and YE SHALL BE AS GODS [Ascension/Evolution/Reincarnation]. Do not be deceived; Jesus is the ONLY WAY. He is the TRUTH and the LIFE. God bless.
Animal magnetism. This video seems like practically worthless propaganda. Lots of claims, zero sources. No summary, no stated objective. Reeks of 1970s baseless and even purposely false propaganda. Shallow. Insufficient. Cult-like. Beatlemania-like. Can't stand it past part 1. IMO, not worth the time.
White people are making war against humanity, and their goal is to enslave allllllllllllll of humanity under their father's, Satan's control!! They hate THE TRUTH and are doers of WORLDWIDE evil!
PREPARE - White War 3 coming soon - they will manufacture their famines and release their viruses!! Of course, they'll blame the innocent - as usual!
Act 17:26 [God] hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;
@HorChild it is not white people who are causing war, that is an incredibly ignorant statement, something a child educated by al qaeda would say. it is religion and greed that bring war.
Hmm. A Christian debunking something, lol. Look, it doesn't take a genius to look at, for example "Noah's Ark" and see holes everywhere. The Bible even has the size oh this ark. Just check out the link if you are a serious seeker of truth. I'm not a new age'r neither. Since most people of faith operate on emotional reason i'm not so sure how effective a dose of logic is. So if you are going to reply, be sure it is not out of such reasoning. Youtube: "The Math of the Great Flood"
@symbian7 Actually the ark has the best dynamics for a vessel of its size to prevent capsizing. And this was supposed to have been established by a people who hated sea-faring, let alone knew what we do today?
Anyway, there are some good articles in response to these claims here:
Christians. You are a dangerous cult in a time of such deceit . I'm sorry to insult you, but the world needs truth more than ever, not fantasy. If you have ears to hear listen as Jesus a Wise man from Galilee once said. Listen now if it is truth you look for. If it is an emotional leaning post do not type this into Google: "Debunking the Arguments of Christian Fundamentalists and Evangelists"
I've been over all this before when I was a Christian;you obviously have never looked objectively into biblical scholarship; there is ample internal evidence in the book of Daniel that it is not a 6th century work but belongs to 2nd century probably around the Maccabees. Even the Jews classify it as literature and not among the prophets. And I would say your previous post calls into question the soundness of your mind. With that said, I wish you peace and hope you give that proper attention.
@coldmountain1986 Well you continue to follow liberal scholars and Jews who deny their Messiah and I will continue to follow fulfilled prophecy. You may wish me peace, but let's see just how long that peace towards folks like me lasts.
@5to22a You may, then, continue ignore the consensus of all legitimate biblical scholarship, dismissing it with mere adhominems against "liberals" and "Jews," the latter of which is bad thinking even on biblical grounds. "Liberals" are invariably those who don't assume their conclusion before they even investigate it. It seems you are presently incapable questioning your beliefs since they form a larger narrative on which you've grounded your identity. Without qualified help it's unwise to go on
@5to22a I've read that very article from tektonics, which is notorious for shoddy apologetics. Sorry, this is no mere assertion, this is the actual scholarly consensus on what is an obvious matter. Granting way more than is due, the book of Daniel's early dating is, at best, dubious. As for Judaism, only a poor reading of the new testament supports anti-Jewish biases.
Sheep aren't known for thinking for themselves, are they? Peace.
@5to22a It's been 2,000; it is absurd to say that the Jews are "rejecting" their Messiah.
As to Daniel, I recommend literally any commentary of unbiased biblical scholarship. Oxford commentary or the like. "Daniel in the Critic's Den" is just damage control from another fundamentalist - over 100 years since its publication, might I add.
Lastly, you say, "I don't think for myself." Well not much to go on from there, is there? And yet you do *think* that you're right, and that's on you.
@coldmountain1986 It could be a million years and the Jews would still have rejected their Messiah if they continue as they are.
You seem to believe that anything that doesn't match your original statement is false. We are getting nowhere with this conjecture.
I do not think for myself because I am a liar like you. Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life... I trust in Him and He answers my prayers and shows me amazing things that men cannot know.
@5to22a The Jews who purportedly rejected 'their Messiah' have been dead for almost 2000 years. Meanwhile the church has done nothing but persecuted them for a crime they can't even be held responsible for. The height of delusion is when you try to tie yoga to Hitler and yet can't see where he got his obvious antisemitism from.
Space does not permit to discuss the issues in detail, but it is a fact, not a conjecture, that biblical scholarship agrees that Daniel's early dating is at best dubious
@5to22a I am a liar, supposedly, and yet you don't hesitate to slander other religions and other people who don't see things like you, using the shoddiest and most dubious arguments available to you. Nevertheless I don't think you are a liar, I think you are piteously deluded, but your sincerity is not in doubt. You have summarized the foundation of your faith when you confessed that you do not think for yourself.
@coldmountain1986 Moreover, if you'd ever studied religion objectively, you'd know that claims like yours are made universally across cultures, and are not unique to your particular religion or denomination. Even thinking you're faith is unique in this respect is not unique, the exact claims are made by others, with the exact same conviction.
@coldmountain1986 I have studied religion objectively. No other religion on this planet does or can boast fulfilled prophecy as the Bible does and certainly as Jesus Christ does. Also, no other religion grants us absolute freedom. All other religions teach that by doing a,b and c you get to go to heaven... With the prophesied Messiah it couldn't be more different. It is not about your works but about what was accomplished on our behalf.
@5to22a Ironically, such claims as you have just made could only be made by someone who hasn't devoted even the least bit of effort to understanding other religions in a critical and objective way, or even his own for that matter. Grace is a theme that most religions take seriously; more over, "heaven" is not even posited in many religions. But even Christianity demands obedience - or, rather, faith, as in faithfulness. As for "prophecy" - just fluff rooted in ambiguities and dubious readings.
@coldmountain1986 Quite simply wrong: Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
As for other religions...do any of them teach this? No. There is an external method to achieve. It is not an internal change independent of the individual's action or desire.
@5to22a Christianity doesn't demand obedience and faithfulness? "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand", "be perfect as God is perfect", "he who denies me, him will I deny", "faith without works is dead", etc., etc. Eph2:8 doesn't have any calvinistic overtones, sorry.
And yes, other religions have the very same notions of grace. Judaism and Islam of course teach God's mercy and grace. And Pure Land Buddhism, for instance, involves relying wholly on "other power" and not on "self power".
@coldmountain1986 No... Judaism and Islam both teach works based salvation. And in this form of Buddhism you describe, are you honestly going to tell me that at no point does it require personal actions of the believer to receive this other power. No emptying of the mind etc.?
As for Christianity, you clearly do not know the prophets; God said He would come and dwell in our hearts and change our hearts so we genuinely desire to do that which is good. Ezekiel 33...Jeremiah31...
@5to22a Rather amusing that you call Judaism a works-based religion and then cite Jewish scriptures in to demonstrate how Christianity is not. Of course, had you ever studied Judaism, or even your own bible carefully, you'd understand that it is not a "salvation-by-works" religion - you used their own prophets to show that. And since you haven't even put in the effort toward studying Jewish religion (Christianity originally was one), why should I expect that you'd do so for Islam or others.
@coldmountain1986 And yes, Pureland Buddhism is as much about grace as is Christianity. Are you honestly going to tell me that Christianity makes no practical demands? In that case, I might already be as much a Christian as you. Of course Pureland has practices, so does Christianity, and it is absurd to say otherwise. Though just for clarification, Pureland only wishes to awaken to the fact that the finite self always was wholly dependent on other power; there is no concept of 'receiving' it
@coldmountain1986 "Upon entry into the Pure Land, the practitioner is then instructed by Amitābha Buddha and numerous bodhisattvas until full and complete enlightenment is reached." Does that sound like something you have received independent of your desire or will? Does it sound like the gift of God minus the teaching of men? Nope. No equivalence at all.
1Co 2:14 ...the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God...
@5to22a John 5:14“Afterward Jesus finds him in the temple, and said to him, Behold, you are made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come to you.”
Revelation 2:4 “Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken the love you had at first. 5 Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place.”
@coldmountain1986 Revelation 2:26 "To the one who is victorious and does my will to the end, I will give authority over the nations—"
My, it's easy to quote things, isn't it?
"The nembutsu takes me as I am/Imperfect and incomplete/With worries and problems/And transforms everything/Into the contents of highest virtue. (Chisho Yanagida)
@5to22a "If you're not getting to the foundation of a belief but quote-mining to sustain a delusion, then yes it is easy to quote." I suppose you're speaking in reference to your own tactics, especially since that's exactly what you did afterward. The problem is that you can't see past your own projections, and there's not much I can do about that, other than encourage you to actually study religious history and thought.
@5to22a It doesn't matter what you think is being taught, because the end result is the same. Your own scriptures work against you and make practical demands just like any other religion does, and other religions teach the need for grace and mercy just like yours does. All theistic religions (and in a sense even non-theistic ones) including Vedantic, depend on God's revelation and intervention. You just have a bias for your particular language and objects of worship.
@coldmountain1986 You really have no idea. The prophets are talking about the new covenant...one that the Jews presently believe has not come. This is why in debates, they affirm that they are saved by living 'good' lives, something that the prophets say will be revealed as nonsense and would be changed as the new covenant is brought about by the Messiah, teaching that God would indwell those that believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and guide them. No works, just a genuine change of desire.
@5to22a No, that is a Christian interpretation of the text that was imposed hundreds (and now thousands) of years after the intended audience had passed on. The prophets saw themselves as restoring true religion in their land. Jeremiah and Ezekiel only ever talk about restoration and renewal, they didn’t have Christian theology in mind. Go read the psalmists and how much they saw themselves working for God’s favor, oh, that’s right, they didn’t. Do a key word search for "gracious" "merciful" etc
Rule number one: invoking Hitler means an automatic EPIC FAILURE. Dear god why do paranoid fundamentalists ALWAYS have to tie EVERYTHING they don't like to Hitler and the Nazis. It's even more laughable since it is WESTERN religion and culture which formed the context of nazi germany.
Secondly, Hinduism and yoga are not 'new age', it's freakin' older than Christianity and at least as old as Judaism.
@coldmountain1986 Incorrect: Adolf Hitler was a devoted reader of Helena Blavatsky the open satanist whose material is the foundation for much of the new age writing. It is was from her writings that Hitler developed the concept of the superior Aryan race and the belief in the myth of Atlantis that sparked Himmler's archaeological frolicking.
Also, when the term 'new' age is used, this is not to say the beliefs are new, just the belief in the coming age of aquarius.
@5to22a Sorry, no way I'm watching a 2 1/2 hour video by another paranoid fundamentalist like yourself.
Blavastky the open satanist? What a self-defeating admission. Satanism is a Western esotericism. Do you think everything esoteric equates to eastern religion? Hitler didn't have to reach far to find occult philosophy, it is quite home grown.
Theosophy is not yoga or Hinduism or Buddhism, etc. Theosophy was a Western syncretistic movement of passing significance.
"It is Satan who is the God of our planet and the only God. Satan (or Lucifer) represents the Centrifugal Energy of the Universe, this ever-living symbol of self-sacrifice for the intellectual independence of humanity." - H.P. Blavatsky, The Secret Doctrine pp. 215, 216, 220...
And if it is of passing significance then how come their publisher lucis (formerly lucifer) trust still does ALL of the UN's publishing? Their material fills bookshops everywhere...
@5to22a I didn't deny she was a satanist. My point was: who cares, and what does that have to do with yoga? Satanism is a Western invention, and Hitler's interest in occultism was Western in context. It's all a bunch of crap anyway, as if satan/lucifer isn't just an invention of the church. Hebrew scriptures know nothing of this particular character, and it took Christianity 2000 years to develop him to what he is today. Same thing for new age BS - no respectable scholar gives it credence.
@coldmountain1986 And just what does the existence lucis trust unambiguously mean? it doesn't make their philosophy any less BS or any more respectable. You're the one who seems to take new age and satanism seriously, in spite of being against it, it seems that you are held captivated by it because you believe in its paranormal power. I'd say you really need some objectivity and historical perspective on things...your fixation and paranoia can't be healthy.
@coldmountain1986 I was at one time captivated and oppressed by demonic power and I experienced a very serious attack (because I had been reading the Bible) at the which I called out to Jesus to save me and He did. There are spiritual forces in this world, there is a God who fulfills prophecy and the Messiah is real and alive in heaven interceding for mankind. I strongly recommend you get to know Him.
@5to22a Objectively the bible has nothing genuine to say "prophetically." And not only should *I* not base my faith on your claims, neither should you. I do not mean this as an insult, but just to be perfectly straightforward with you, I think you suffer/ed bouts of mental illness. The mind is not a simple structure: sight, feeling, experiences, etc., are not externalized processes but ones that happen within the mind itself. I think you need mental evaluation, please do so for your own sake.
@coldmountain1986 You have just used conjecture. I will use one fact. The Bible predicts accurately the campaign of Alexander the Great. His death and subsequent splitting of the empire into four sections to be governed by his four generals and the later turmoil that ensued with exact details of the wars that followed. This is just one of the Biblical prophecies that were fulfilled with exact detail (something not done by any other text).
@TheErobrer I don't see how worshiping demon-gods who demand blood sacrifice like Kali and a general nonchalance for all of existence helps anything. The reason I don't see it is because that help doesn't exist. Jesus Christ is the light of the world. You have to go to Him if you want to be set free. No other religion offers you freedom from your sins. No other man was prophesied so extensively and fulfilled it all absolutely. He is the way, the truth and the life...
@5to22a I'm sorry but that was a really bad Ad Hominen. Unfortunately, History has shown numerous times that christian influence upon the western world has done nothing but degrade the standard of living.
I'm sure you want some culture free christian theocracy so my words mean nothing. good day.
@TheErobrer Again, someone who wants to call folks like the catholic church Christian even though they don't live the way Jesus told us to or do the things He told us to... Look at Christ's words, not the people who don't follow Him but claim to.
As for Christianity having been so damaging to the West...you were talking about Hinduism, right? And you do know the current state of India, right? I think the facts speak for themselves.
P.S. Christ teaches theocracy is not a good thing...
@5to22a You would be nothing short of ignorant to blame Hinduism for the poverty in India today.Going by that logic the orthodox christian churches are responsible for the poverty in Russia. I was not just referring to the catholic church but a wide variety of churches that do everything in their power for political supremacy. There is no solid fact that Hinduism is spreading enough to even affect the west culturally (beside this really poorly done conspiracy video .
Does anyone think this is fundamentalist Christian propaganda? After all, anyone can see the 'interviewed' are a bit biased. I am glad it is no longer 1984, hopefully people are more aware of the delusion of blindly 'following', anything, or maybe not.
@fullymanfullyGOD hehe nothing special or interesting, just an abbreviation of my surname... It's left over from my life without Christ but I'd only make a new channel now if I had to.
@5to22a yo brother thank you so much for posting this I have been looking for good christian documentarys on this subject as well as many other topics! If you can link me or direct me to others I would appreciate it, and don't stop defending The gospel and GOD's word. Remember lets not be ashamed of the gospel it's the power of god unto salvation to the Jew first and also Gentiles! Rom 1:16
@fullymanfullyGOD Please, by all means, check out my channel. I have a recording of Randall N Baer (former world new age crystal expert) about his testimony and book 'Inside the New Age Nightmare' before he was murdered (God keep him). And various videos about the illuminati and satan's work in this world. If ever you need a video for a certain topic or question just message me.
God bless you and guide you in all truth by the glorious Name and blood of our Saviour.
@luptatorulpasnic Ok, but hasnt there been wars between the Shiavites and the Vashnuveas!? I was once told it was better to worship Shiva than Krishna! lol
Isa 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Joh 8:42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.
Joh 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
@5to22a Cant I just pray to GOD on my own? Who said I needed a guru or teacher?
Who gave these people this authority?
Theres only ONE GOD. If there were more than ONE the way the plant operates would be in total constant conflict, because all the "gods" would be arguing amongst each other.
This film was old !!! c'mon,The film maker, the speaker and the producer don't know nothing about the deep philosophy of hinduism. This religion is not NEW as the speaker say. A GURU is a teacher and a representative of god and have to be treated as a god. Not that they want to be god. How can you love god when you don't even know how to respect a guru. You can go directly to god,but how will you approach god?? YES the guru will show you how. That's the main reason why you needed a guru.
@55mautak If a guru is supposed to teach others regarding God, then how is it acceptable for him to receive worship in the stead of God? This philosophy is illogical. Besides, man does not need to deal with other men to come closer to the one who formed him in his mother's womb.
@5to22a Only a mother can tell you who is the Father of her child and NOBODY ELSE. So we needed her guidance to find out to who really was the real father.
@55mautak John 13:3 Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God;
Jesus knew the Father and He was seen by men.
John 14:9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
@5to22a ..."Whoever knows me as a supreme God,without doubting, is the knower of everything. He therefore engages himself in full devotional service to me." (Lord Krishna, bhagabad gita 15.19)......" Abandon all varieties of religion and just surrender unto me. I shall deliver you from all sinful reactions,Do not fear." (Lord Krishna, bhagabad gita 18.66)
@55mautak Oh I see...a religion that has gods such as Kali, a demon god who requires human sacrifice. Don't be surprised if satan appears as an angel of light... As for being delivered from sinful reaction, do you see these gurus growing away from worldly things and sin and towards charity and meekness. No...they're no different from the pope or Benny Hinn.
As for Krishna...does he have thousands of year old prophecy fulfilled beyond mathematically plausible probability to back him up? No.
@5to22a As expected, you don't know much about hinduism. Krishna is the SUPREME GOD. and the rest are just DEMIGOD. No point of debating if you don't unlock and explore your mind.
@55mautak So this demigod, imbued with some of the nature of 'the supreme god', is wicked? Also, the whole raising of the serpent's fire of kundalini is horrible; people have been known to become demon-possessed from this. The 'beings' that people can encounter in these rituals come in different guises (or disguises) and are rebuked in the name of Jesus Christ.
Did Krishna conquer death, not needing to reincarnate but to resurrect completely? Christ did, overcoming the result of absolute evil.
@5to22a Krishna's Lila with the Gopis are a very complicated things. Trying to understand it with your mental speculation will only lead you to Maya. You have to follow the Parampara system to get the right informations. You can only approach Krishna by Bhakti and nothing else. Mukti is the goal of many hindu, but Bhakti is the main goal of a devotee's.
@55mautak Col 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Rom 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Rom 3:24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.
@5to22a Jesus Christ is a great devotee of the Lord and we are not againts him.He set up an example and gave his life. My deepest respect for him is in my heart and soul.
@55mautak But you simply think he was one of many... The circumstances of the Messiah's prophecies and their fulfillment have nothing to do with eastern mystical beliefs. He was not an incarnation and he was not one avatar of many. He is the ONLY begotten Son of God. To say that Jesus is an avatar of hinduism is to be dishonest about the facts of either faith.
@55mautak Seriously, Im not trying to be mean or rude to your faith, but who was Krishna? Wasnt he more or less a well respected prince and army general from around 5000years ago? Wouldnt that be like if Americans over time started worshipping George Washington? Why would the one GOD show himself to us in the faliable for of a human?
@InBlackNwhite09 ...Read the Bhagabad Gita,Srimad Bhagavatam and the Puranas. When you say god,He is "OMNIPOTENT".He can be in the picture,in a form of a diety or in a human body. There's no point of explaining everything to you if you don't open your mind to something different ,after all,Krishna is not easy to approach. He can only be understood by devotional service and nothing else.
@55mautak I used to be into the new age and I have been made aware of various hindu concepts and I have heard the tales of Vishnu. I believe that the God of this religious is completely different to the great I AM of the Bible.
@5to22a The "BIBLE"...Ok....I believe he always mention something about his "FATHER". His father is OUR FATHER. What part of "HIS FATHER" that you don't understand. Why make it so complicated? Example...One of the ten comandments is "THOU SHALL NOT TO KILL". You christians always interpret it only to humans. But in reality,it refers to ALL living beings including animals. It doesn't say thou shall not to murder. It's a very big diff. Ending the life of animals and humans are called killing.
@55mautak So what was the sacrificial lamb all about then? That's an ignorant thing to say I'm afraid. Also the word translated as kill there is the hebrew word meaning to murder a human being.
As for God just being Father of us ALL.
Gal 4:4-6 God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
@55mautak Actually, God gave us permission to eat animal meat such as beef, fish, and chicken. Read Genesis right after Noah's Ark lands on Mount Ararat.
Jesus is the only way. These good folks are worshipping a counterfiet. Their guru dont need to look and speak like hitler to be called satanic. It's their spiritual teachings that give them away as new age- demon inspired false prophets
@MonacoBlast Thats love. It's like a friend or parent telling their love ones what is wrong so they wont get hurt. Hate is simply an intention to harm
Hinduism is satanic. In the west we wonder if there is a god, in India they wonder which is the right god. What's sad is how quickly the west is losing it's spiritual foundation to this ideological garbage. The answer is Jesus, of the Bible. Not the blind, fatalistic polytheism of hinduism.
@924142707 Hinduism is not satanic. All those gods are the manifestation of the Ultimate truth, God, which they call Brahman. It is just another religion, and deserves respect as much as you want respect for your beliefs! (Why can´t you people RESPECT, is it a concept so hard to grasp????)

@superCatia If age results in a lack of credibility, then Hinduism isn't credible... Also, this does use real case studies in order to make an analysis and draw a conclusion. If any of the points made here are as you say then I suggest making a documentary in which you refute them, using the same criteria that you have called for.

lol...people are mad....but hey this is going on in America on a much larger scale with American Idol and retarded people that worship celebs like britany spears and jay z....society has always been made of of a majority of retards....
Thanks so much for posting this documentary. It's sad people are willing to blindly follow gurus and new age mind cults. Satan and his demons are liars and deceivers, we must be aware. Peace and good health to you and your family. God bless you, brother.

Youtube: "The Math of the Great Flood"
symbian7 7 months ago
@symbian7 Actually the ark has the best dynamics for a vessel of its size to prevent capsizing. And this was supposed to have been established by a people who hated sea-faring, let alone knew what we do today?
Anyway, there are some good articles in response to these claims here:

I've been over all this before when I was a Christian;you obviously have never looked objectively into biblical scholarship; there is ample internal evidence in the book of Daniel that it is not a 6th century work but belongs to 2nd century probably around the Maccabees. Even the Jews classify it as literature and not among the prophets. And I would say your previous post calls into question the soundness of your mind. With that said, I wish you peace and hope you give that proper attention.
coldmountain1986 11 months ago
@coldmountain1986 Well you continue to follow liberal scholars and Jews who deny their Messiah and I will continue to follow fulfilled prophecy. You may wish me peace, but let's see just how long that peace towards folks like me lasts.
God guide you.
5to22a 11 months ago
@5to22a You may, then, continue ignore the consensus of all legitimate biblical scholarship, dismissing it with mere adhominems against "liberals" and "Jews," the latter of which is bad thinking even on biblical grounds. "Liberals" are invariably those who don't assume their conclusion before they even investigate it. It seems you are presently incapable questioning your beliefs since they form a larger narrative on which you've grounded your identity. Without qualified help it's unwise to go on
coldmountain1986 11 months ago
@coldmountain1986 Can you explain to me how it is un-Biblical to reject Jewish scholarship that rejects their Messiah and inspired scripture?
Secondly, this assertion has been completely debunked - tektonics(dot)org/af/danieldefense.html
Christ is calling His sheep to the light...accept the fact that you may be a goat.
5to22a 11 months ago
@5to22a I've read that very article from tektonics, which is notorious for shoddy apologetics. Sorry, this is no mere assertion, this is the actual scholarly consensus on what is an obvious matter. Granting way more than is due, the book of Daniel's early dating is, at best, dubious. As for Judaism, only a poor reading of the new testament supports anti-Jewish biases.
Sheep aren't known for thinking for themselves, are they? Peace.
coldmountain1986 11 months ago
@coldmountain1986 I'm not anti-Jewish. I want them to be saved.
I don't think for myself. I always end up deceiving myself. Jesus Christ is the truth. I have to give everything I am to Him.
I recommend Daniel in the Critic's Den by Sir Robert Anderson.
5to22a 10 months ago
@5to22a It's been 2,000; it is absurd to say that the Jews are "rejecting" their Messiah.
As to Daniel, I recommend literally any commentary of unbiased biblical scholarship. Oxford commentary or the like. "Daniel in the Critic's Den" is just damage control from another fundamentalist - over 100 years since its publication, might I add.
Lastly, you say, "I don't think for myself." Well not much to go on from there, is there? And yet you do *think* that you're right, and that's on you.
coldmountain1986 10 months ago
@coldmountain1986 It could be a million years and the Jews would still have rejected their Messiah if they continue as they are.
You seem to believe that anything that doesn't match your original statement is false. We are getting nowhere with this conjecture.
I do not think for myself because I am a liar like you. Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life... I trust in Him and He answers my prayers and shows me amazing things that men cannot know.
I pray you would come to Him.
5to22a 10 months ago
@5to22a The Jews who purportedly rejected 'their Messiah' have been dead for almost 2000 years. Meanwhile the church has done nothing but persecuted them for a crime they can't even be held responsible for. The height of delusion is when you try to tie yoga to Hitler and yet can't see where he got his obvious antisemitism from.
Space does not permit to discuss the issues in detail, but it is a fact, not a conjecture, that biblical scholarship agrees that Daniel's early dating is at best dubious
coldmountain1986 10 months ago
@5to22a I am a liar, supposedly, and yet you don't hesitate to slander other religions and other people who don't see things like you, using the shoddiest and most dubious arguments available to you. Nevertheless I don't think you are a liar, I think you are piteously deluded, but your sincerity is not in doubt. You have summarized the foundation of your faith when you confessed that you do not think for yourself.
coldmountain1986 10 months ago
@coldmountain1986 Moreover, if you'd ever studied religion objectively, you'd know that claims like yours are made universally across cultures, and are not unique to your particular religion or denomination. Even thinking you're faith is unique in this respect is not unique, the exact claims are made by others, with the exact same conviction.
coldmountain1986 10 months ago
@coldmountain1986 I have studied religion objectively. No other religion on this planet does or can boast fulfilled prophecy as the Bible does and certainly as Jesus Christ does. Also, no other religion grants us absolute freedom. All other religions teach that by doing a,b and c you get to go to heaven... With the prophesied Messiah it couldn't be more different. It is not about your works but about what was accomplished on our behalf.
Christ is truly unique and is truth itself.
5to22a 10 months ago
@5to22a Ironically, such claims as you have just made could only be made by someone who hasn't devoted even the least bit of effort to understanding other religions in a critical and objective way, or even his own for that matter. Grace is a theme that most religions take seriously; more over, "heaven" is not even posited in many religions. But even Christianity demands obedience - or, rather, faith, as in faithfulness. As for "prophecy" - just fluff rooted in ambiguities and dubious readings.
coldmountain1986 10 months ago
@coldmountain1986 Quite simply wrong: Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
As for other religions...do any of them teach this? No. There is an external method to achieve. It is not an internal change independent of the individual's action or desire.
5to22a 10 months ago
@5to22a Christianity doesn't demand obedience and faithfulness? "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand", "be perfect as God is perfect", "he who denies me, him will I deny", "faith without works is dead", etc., etc. Eph2:8 doesn't have any calvinistic overtones, sorry.
And yes, other religions have the very same notions of grace. Judaism and Islam of course teach God's mercy and grace. And Pure Land Buddhism, for instance, involves relying wholly on "other power" and not on "self power".
coldmountain1986 10 months ago
@coldmountain1986 No... Judaism and Islam both teach works based salvation. And in this form of Buddhism you describe, are you honestly going to tell me that at no point does it require personal actions of the believer to receive this other power. No emptying of the mind etc.?
As for Christianity, you clearly do not know the prophets; God said He would come and dwell in our hearts and change our hearts so we genuinely desire to do that which is good. Ezekiel 33...Jeremiah31...
5to22a 10 months ago
@5to22a Rather amusing that you call Judaism a works-based religion and then cite Jewish scriptures in to demonstrate how Christianity is not. Of course, had you ever studied Judaism, or even your own bible carefully, you'd understand that it is not a "salvation-by-works" religion - you used their own prophets to show that. And since you haven't even put in the effort toward studying Jewish religion (Christianity originally was one), why should I expect that you'd do so for Islam or others.
coldmountain1986 10 months ago
@coldmountain1986 And yes, Pureland Buddhism is as much about grace as is Christianity. Are you honestly going to tell me that Christianity makes no practical demands? In that case, I might already be as much a Christian as you. Of course Pureland has practices, so does Christianity, and it is absurd to say otherwise. Though just for clarification, Pureland only wishes to awaken to the fact that the finite self always was wholly dependent on other power; there is no concept of 'receiving' it
coldmountain1986 10 months ago
@coldmountain1986 "Upon entry into the Pure Land, the practitioner is then instructed by Amitābha Buddha and numerous bodhisattvas until full and complete enlightenment is reached." Does that sound like something you have received independent of your desire or will? Does it sound like the gift of God minus the teaching of men? Nope. No equivalence at all.

@coldmountain1986 Revelation 2:26 "To the one who is victorious and does my will to the end, I will give authority over the nations—"

"The nembutsu takes me as I am/Imperfect and incomplete/With worries and problems/And transforms everything/Into the contents of highest virtue. (Chisho Yanagida)
coldmountain1986 10 months ago
@coldmountain1986 If you're not getting to the foundation of a belief but quote-mining to sustain a delusion, then yes it is easy to quote.
John 15:5 ...without me ye can do nothing.
I am frequently in debate with people who do not realise that what is being taught is God intervening in a person's life, coming in and claiming them.
I do not have a highest virtue, only HIS righteousness.
Isaiah 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags...
5to22a 10 months ago
@5to22a "If you're not getting to the foundation of a belief but quote-mining to sustain a delusion, then yes it is easy to quote." I suppose you're speaking in reference to your own tactics, especially since that's exactly what you did afterward. The problem is that you can't see past your own projections, and there's not much I can do about that, other than encourage you to actually study religious history and thought.
coldmountain1986 10 months ago
@5to22a It doesn't matter what you think is being taught, because the end result is the same. Your own scriptures work against you and make practical demands just like any other religion does, and other religions teach the need for grace and mercy just like yours does. All theistic religions (and in a sense even non-theistic ones) including Vedantic, depend on God's revelation and intervention. You just have a bias for your particular language and objects of worship.
coldmountain1986 10 months ago
@5to22a Moreover you seem to be imposing a very calvinistic interpretation on the texts, which is foreign even to much of Christianity.
coldmountain1986 10 months ago
@coldmountain1986 You really have no idea. The prophets are talking about the new covenant...one that the Jews presently believe has not come. This is why in debates, they affirm that they are saved by living 'good' lives, something that the prophets say will be revealed as nonsense and would be changed as the new covenant is brought about by the Messiah, teaching that God would indwell those that believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and guide them. No works, just a genuine change of desire.
5to22a 10 months ago
@5to22a No, that is a Christian interpretation of the text that was imposed hundreds (and now thousands) of years after the intended audience had passed on. The prophets saw themselves as restoring true religion in their land. Jeremiah and Ezekiel only ever talk about restoration and renewal, they didn’t have Christian theology in mind. Go read the psalmists and how much they saw themselves working for God’s favor, oh, that’s right, they didn’t. Do a key word search for "gracious" "merciful" etc
coldmountain1986 10 months ago
Rule number one: invoking Hitler means an automatic EPIC FAILURE. Dear god why do paranoid fundamentalists ALWAYS have to tie EVERYTHING they don't like to Hitler and the Nazis. It's even more laughable since it is WESTERN religion and culture which formed the context of nazi germany.
Secondly, Hinduism and yoga are not 'new age', it's freakin' older than Christianity and at least as old as Judaism.
coldmountain1986 11 months ago
@coldmountain1986 Incorrect: Adolf Hitler was a devoted reader of Helena Blavatsky the open satanist whose material is the foundation for much of the new age writing. It is was from her writings that Hitler developed the concept of the superior Aryan race and the belief in the myth of Atlantis that sparked Himmler's archaeological frolicking.
Also, when the term 'new' age is used, this is not to say the beliefs are new, just the belief in the coming age of aquarius.
/watch?v=Mgtc_Dhnlr0
5to22a 11 months ago
@5to22a Sorry, no way I'm watching a 2 1/2 hour video by another paranoid fundamentalist like yourself.
Blavastky the open satanist? What a self-defeating admission. Satanism is a Western esotericism. Do you think everything esoteric equates to eastern religion? Hitler didn't have to reach far to find occult philosophy, it is quite home grown.
Theosophy is not yoga or Hinduism or Buddhism, etc. Theosophy was a Western syncretistic movement of passing significance.
coldmountain1986 11 months ago
@coldmountain1986 So what is this?
5to22a 11 months ago
@5to22a I didn't deny she was a satanist. My point was: who cares, and what does that have to do with yoga? Satanism is a Western invention, and Hitler's interest in occultism was Western in context. It's all a bunch of crap anyway, as if satan/lucifer isn't just an invention of the church. Hebrew scriptures know nothing of this particular character, and it took Christianity 2000 years to develop him to what he is today. Same thing for new age BS - no respectable scholar gives it credence.
coldmountain1986 11 months ago
@coldmountain1986 And just what does the existence lucis trust unambiguously mean? it doesn't make their philosophy any less BS or any more respectable. You're the one who seems to take new age and satanism seriously, in spite of being against it, it seems that you are held captivated by it because you believe in its paranormal power. I'd say you really need some objectivity and historical perspective on things...your fixation and paranoia can't be healthy.
coldmountain1986 11 months ago
@coldmountain1986 I was at one time captivated and oppressed by demonic power and I experienced a very serious attack (because I had been reading the Bible) at the which I called out to Jesus to save me and He did. There are spiritual forces in this world, there is a God who fulfills prophecy and the Messiah is real and alive in heaven interceding for mankind. I strongly recommend you get to know Him.
5to22a 11 months ago
@5to22a Objectively the bible has nothing genuine to say "prophetically." And not only should *I* not base my faith on your claims, neither should you. I do not mean this as an insult, but just to be perfectly straightforward with you, I think you suffer/ed bouts of mental illness. The mind is not a simple structure: sight, feeling, experiences, etc., are not externalized processes but ones that happen within the mind itself. I think you need mental evaluation, please do so for your own sake.
coldmountain1986 11 months ago
@coldmountain1986 You have just used conjecture. I will use one fact. The Bible predicts accurately the campaign of Alexander the Great. His death and subsequent splitting of the empire into four sections to be governed by his four generals and the later turmoil that ensued with exact details of the wars that followed. This is just one of the Biblical prophecies that were fulfilled with exact detail (something not done by any other text).
Also, I have the Spirit of a sound mind - 2Tim1:7

TheErobrer 11 months ago
@TheErobrer I don't see how worshiping demon-gods who demand blood sacrifice like Kali and a general nonchalance for all of existence helps anything. The reason I don't see it is because that help doesn't exist. Jesus Christ is the light of the world. You have to go to Him if you want to be set free. No other religion offers you freedom from your sins. No other man was prophesied so extensively and fulfilled it all absolutely. He is the way, the truth and the life...
5to22a 11 months ago
@5to22a I'm sorry but that was a really bad Ad Hominen. Unfortunately, History has shown numerous times that christian influence upon the western world has done nothing but degrade the standard of living.
I'm sure you want some culture free christian theocracy so my words mean nothing. good day.
TheErobrer 11 months ago
@TheErobrer Again, someone who wants to call folks like the catholic church Christian even though they don't live the way Jesus told us to or do the things He told us to... Look at Christ's words, not the people who don't follow Him but claim to.
As for Christianity having been so damaging to the West...you were talking about Hinduism, right? And you do know the current state of India, right? I think the facts speak for themselves.
P.S. Christ teaches theocracy is not a good thing...
5to22a 11 months ago
@5to22a You would be nothing short of ignorant to blame Hinduism for the poverty in India today.Going by that logic the orthodox christian churches are responsible for the poverty in Russia. I was not just referring to the catholic church but a wide variety of churches that do everything in their power for political supremacy. There is no solid fact that Hinduism is spreading enough to even affect the west culturally (beside this really poorly done conspiracy video .

This film was old !!! c'mon,The film maker, the speaker and the producer don't know nothing about the deep philosophy of hinduism. This religion is not NEW as the speaker say. @55mautak If a guru is supposed to teach others regarding God, then how is it acceptable for him to receive worship in the stead of God? This philosophy is illogical. Besides, man does not need to deal with other men to come closer to the one who formed him in his mother's womb.

No.
5to22a 1 year ago
@5to22a As expected, you don't know much about hinduism. Krishna is the SUPREME GOD. and the rest are just DEMIGOD. No point of debating if you don't unlock and explore your mind.
55mautak 1 year ago

A seriously unenlightened film. This must have been made in the fifties.

Jesus is the only way. These good folks are worshipping a counterfiet. Their guru dont need to look and speak like hitler to be called satanic. It's their spiritual teachings that give them away as new age- demon inspired false prophets

@TheConsciousMatter I am a demon. I inspire you to hate.
MonacoBlast 1 year ago
@MonacoBlast Thats love. It's like a friend or parent telling their love ones what is wrong so they wont get hurt. Hate is simply an intention to harm

Hinduism is satanic. In the west we wonder if there is a god, in India they wonder which is the right god. What's sad is how quickly the west is losing it's spiritual foundation to this ideological garbage. The answer is Jesus, of the Bible. Not the blind, fatalistic polytheism of hinduism.
924142707 1 year ago
@924142707 Hinduism is not satanic. All those gods are the manifestation of the Ultimate truth, God, which they call Brahman. It is just another religion, and deserves respect as much as you want respect for your beliefs! (Why can´t you people RESPECT, is it a concept so hard to grasp????)

@924142707 Yes youre right in the MEssage of Christ, but isnt that like arguing whos dad is better? My polytheism is better than yours?

I think this video series is seriously biased. Really , it has no scientific background and only spreads lies about Hinduism. And it is really old!
superCatia 1 year ago
@superCatia If age results in a lack of credibility, then Hinduism isn't credible... Also, this does use real case studies in order to make an analysis and draw a conclusion. If any of the points made here are as you say then I suggest making a documentary in which you refute them, using the same criteria that you have called for.

93,
I agree with Catia. This is pretty much a smear campaign about Indian life in the beginning, and eventually moves into superstion peddling.
Of course, Jesus tends to destroy all intellectual honesty in regards to cultural studies.

93,
Plus it brings up Rajneesh. Rajneesh is a separate religion. Why do you people post such poorly researched stuff?

Thanks so much for posting this documentary. It's sad people are willing to blindly follow gurus and new age mind cults. Satan and his demons are liars and deceivers, we must be aware. Peace and good health to you and your family. God bless you, brother.
