  • the bucharest backfire shot made special by ilie nastase, the fisrt who did this shot

  • Didn't know Agassi had them kind of shots in his locker, although he is a legend!

    Click link! He's 5 now!

  • he donesnt look even close as he looks now

  • i've watched a shit-load of tennis, and i have never seen anyone hit try that particular shot, let alone hit a winner.

  • Andre the Best.

  • is it pep guardiola?

  • @thomaswidjanarko nop..is Andre

  • Whos the opponent!!.....

  • @astronomeraman alex corretja

  • @lorenzofusco91 Thnxx mAhn!!

  • the opponent is like... "hmmmm, I lost, GG, Smile for camera now. :D"

  • Best Shot Ever??

  • HOLLY SHIT! I'm team sampras but this is amazing.

  • I can do this too.

  • i disliked it because he was proved doped..

  • @K1tcher yeah doped on drugs that would have weakened his performances, REAL unethical

  • looks cool, but that trick is actually pretty common in badminton

  • @jodaaltid it would be pretty common in any sport that uses toy rackets to hit fluff on the equivalent of half a tennis court ;)

  • WAW!

  • How did he hit the ball?

  • @RKRHRKRH He basically moved the raquette while not facing the ball, and then swung it over his shoulder while leaning to the right.

  • Pity Agassi didn't take his tennis so seriously early in his career. He gained quite a bit back 1992-1995, but then went away for almost 3 seasons after winning Olympic gold in Atlanta. I shudder to think how many slams he could have won had he been as professional as Sampras and done his work earlier!

  • 272 people like the shot. Only Corretja (Agassi's opponent) disliked it.

  • nice

  • the dislike vote is from Alex Corretja

  • @quetaconazo No, he lold.

  • who cares, he's gonna die of a drug overdose anyway

  • @johnjohns65 No, he quit drugs in 1998. You are so out of the loop. Get with the program, loser. He runs the best college prep school in Las Vegas now. He founded it.

  • @johnjohns65

Lol what the fuck are you talking about...?

  • Agassi's a true Son of David. That's Jewish talent right there, folks. Shalom from Beth Israel Synagogue in LA. Andre. You're the best!

  • owned.

  • @CiMBoMTurkiye93 um calm down? And how about you look up "is Andre Agassi Armenian" on google then come back and say "oops my bad" k? :)

  • he was high! lol

  • @cleanplasticchild actually the family changed their name from agassian to agassi to disguise their Armenian heritage from the Turkish oppressors

  • I hate when tennis players bow like that. It's so mechanical and contrived. Looks stupid.

  • @dura1mater Hit a good shot like that and what are you going to do, give the standing ovation a finger? Come on man, have some common sense. I think it's the appropriate thing to do. Even the guy he hit it on could do nothing but smile; that's how good the shot was...

  • lol i like his reaction after the shot.

  • thumbs up if your an armenian tennis player like agassi!

  • @mistersexytime I thought he was Iranian?

  • @cleanplasticchild His dad is Iranian so he is partly, yes. His dad was an Olympic boxer I believe, and his mom is American. Iranian pride right there.

  • @mistersexytime fuck off dickhead aggassi wasnt armenian

  • um... yeah

  • HOLY GOD..that was insane

  • how lucky :)

  • Owned. Lol @ the bow he does

  • poor Alex Coretja.

  • he had some crazy skills no doubt, nevertheless I think that Federers shot at the US Open vs Djokovic was the best one I've ever seen

  • @darQrrR I respectfully disagree. I've seen MANY players pull tweeners (including Agassi). I've never seen any other player hit this shot for a winner. To me, that speaks to the difficulty of this shot and to hit it right in the corner with that type of velocity? I rank this as the best shot I've ever seen, hands down.

  • WoW i have to try that Meth ! ! !

  • @Adir10 hahahahahaha

  • thats insane

  • look at corretja's reaction, jejejej

  • looks like the other guy is about to cry

  • the really crazy thing is that was actually a pretty damn good lob by corretja

  • ive seen this video like 50 times and it easily the best shot ever hit by anybody EVER

  • Best shot ever !

  • unreal, one of the best players ever.

  • I was so sad when he retired :(

  • I hope this is sarcastic.... Andre would of died of a heart attack within in minutes of playing high on Meth.

  • He didn't take meth in 1995.

  • You're a dick.

  • I know but .. that is the truth mate .. !

  • cavolo che tiro

  • agassi's hair, yikes. he shoulda started shaving his head earlier

  • thats insane

  • magic indeed, he's like the gandalf of tennis

  • SICK. agassi...awesome guy awesome player awesome showman... crowd roar is electric...corretja was cool too...a good sportsman

  • incredible shot, corretja was cool too..

  • the croud roar in this is amazing! everyone is like woahhhhh

  • best shot i have ever seen!

  • corretja very young.........

  • CTM!

  • Andre and Pete were almost solely responsible for the resurrection of tennis. Like the Lakers and Celtics.

Bjorg was big. Agassi was larger than life.

  • sure do miss watching him play. the best tennis player their ever was. he made the most amazing shots even when he wasnt looking. didnt just have one weapon in his arsenal. Like this new guy who has just his strong forehand nothing else.

  • who are you referring to?

  • Samprasisthebest...you must be pretty young, Borg was an international superstar the likes that Tennis had never seen. Not taking anything away from Agassi. I cried when watching this as it happened but you clearly have no clue whatsoever about how popular Bjorn Borg was. I'm hoping you're just young and ignorant. :-)

  • This was Andre in 1995 at the USO... His best year of all time.

  • That's Santoro-like! (If you haven't seen Santoro's magic tricks, search him)

  • that's crazy

  • what a trick. we miss agassi! kid of VEGAS!!!!!!!!!

  • Agassi ROCKS

  • fantastic

  • the other gezza looks like he could cry hahaha

  • man nice cool

  • thats when everyone starts chanting USA USA USA

  • alex coreja, its murrays clay season trainer

  • who was the other player? he seems robredo; but this play was in 1995, so robredo was only 13 years.....so...who's he???

  • yea it is

  • Oh....my....god

  • i do this =)

  • me too

  • incredible!!!!

  • holy shit....

  • competitive tennis in high school lol - that pretty much means you sucked ass

  • yeah and you didnt play

  • I had different priorities. Doesn't mean i can't play tennis at all.

  • shutup i can beat all of u

  • you dont even know high school and college tennis in usa . they like semi-pro . some of them switch to pro when they finish . jame blake .. etc .

  • I don't give a fuck about semi-pros, you get money for winning matches?

  • Ummmm.... No. High school tennis is nowhere close to semi-pro. And what the hell is "semi-pro" anyways? James Blake is one of the few to even make it big on the ATP tour after college. If you go to college, that pretty much means you won't become pro.

I've played in Futures, with guys ranked in the 700-900s. And I was top 10 in the PacNorthwest as a junior. I was lucky to get 1 or 2 games off those guys, and they're the lowest pros in the world.

  • i was expectin between the legs or somethin. not that. that was better

  • absolutely fantastic.Amazing shot

  • LOL!

  • fuck me !!!

  • holy FUCKKK !

    Magic man he is !!!

  • なにしてるんだこの人w

  • un giocoliere!!!! a mio parere, secondo solo all'immenso McEnroe

  • grande, la penso anche io come te, mcenroe per me è sopra tutti, ma poi c è andreino che ci ha fatto divertire per altri 15 anni dopo il ritiro di supermac!!!ciao

  • Nobody was ever bigger than the game. But Agassi came close, along with Borg.

  • and Boris Becker? ;-)

  • Correctamente. But Borg WAS bigger than the game. Agassi came very close.

  • Borg was never loved and admired by the crowds the way Andre was. Andre definitely was bigger than the game, and not a quitter.

  • You cannot be serious. Where are all the fangirls that are melting over Agassi/Sampras in the stands? It's because there weren't any. Crowds went nuts over Borg.

  • Just because Borg made more girls horny doesn't mean he was anywhere near the legend Andre was. Like prod1gy3000 said, Andre and Pete resurrected this sport from the abyss that Borg lead it into.

  • Please man, show some respect. Borg was greater tan agassi, that´s a fact

  • @bragunovskoie agassi possibly the best "ball striker" though

  • @AceGuitarR7 Yes, Brad Gilbert noticed that when Andre played at Stratton in '86 too. Center-cut Andre. Andre's life was all or nothing like Bobby Fischer's. There's only one thing Andre could do by age 18. Same with Bobby. And both were ranked number one in the USA, in their field, by age 18. Chess & tennis. That's why Andre's wrist injury was so serious around '93.

  • I've never knew what the buzz was about with Agassi but now I believe this guy is good. Though it would be nice to see some of his actual matches. i'll search youtube later. =D Amazing shot though. You don't see many pros make shots like that these days. Federer is amazing but not nearly as exciting as the well known pros in the 80s.

  • no way...

  • best shot ever!!!

  • lavers slams werent on four different surfaces

  • I agree with kaash83. Agassi might only a have 8 or 9 slams, but don't forget he won on ALL 4 SURFACES; something only the great Rod Laver accomplished. I put him ahead of Sampras right next to Federer (depends on how Fed ends his career).

  • actually 5 people have won a career grand slam including Agassi. however, Agassi is the only man to have achieved a Career Grand Slam by winning on at least three different surfaces. I think Laver, Perry, Budge, and Emerson all won only on grass though, but still amazing. Laver was amazing cause he won two calendar grand slams not just career grand slam.

  • all of those players are from several generations past.

  • I don't care who wins the most Grandslams or who is titled the GOAT, cuz there never ever will be any tennis player more loved than this man right here. Andre is a true legend and will forever be the most loved man to step out on the tennis court, past or present.

  • Agassi was insane the summer of 1995. Nobody could touch him until he finally ran out of gas in the U.S. open final against Pete

  • Increíble. La cara de su oponente lo dice todo: no sabe si es mejor reírse o sentarse a llorar.

  • agassi should have kept dressin like dat and kept de bandana he wouldve been amazing wit more confidence

  • fuck i miss this guy

  • agassi was a fucking gangster

  • yes he is

    the man

  • i wish corretja would have won a slam the guy was too talented not to

  • WOW Aggassi Was amazing like really!

    OMG FUCKING AGGASSI IS GOOD!

  • That guy looked pissed. lol

  • es un genio..!! ... yo trato de hacer esto y me rompo el cuello

  • agassi is probably the greatest tennis player ever...insane on the court and generous off

  • thats the absolutely craziest and best shot i´ve ever seen....agassi was/is a great player and also a great human outside the tennis court...

  • agreed

  • yes he is

  • @danii040 Great human that consumed crystal meth, Dontcha hate irony?

  • @0702029 i love the shallow and trite responses that come up on youtube every so often. makes me appreciate the witty and erudite ones all the more.

  • He us nowhere near the top list as far as number of grandslams is concerned, hell he hasnt even spent that much time as #1 player in the world....but i doubt there's anyone that would disagree on the fact that Agassi is the biggest star tennis has ever produced.Yes, thats right...Andre is the most popular, entertaining, and humble tennis player in history of this sport. Greatest returner off all time, that went from a rebel to a positive role model over his long career.....True Legend indeed.

  • well said.

he does have the record for most masters series titles, at a whopping 17! :)

  • Actually hes tied for 4th place for total grand slams in the open era. Thats pretty close to the top of the list. Only Borg, Federer and Sampras have more.

  • yeah that true, Sampras is still at tighe top

  • wooooooOOOOOOOWW !!!!

  • nn ci credo!!!

  • WTF that's impossible!

  • cosa ha fatto......

  • Che visione di campo!!!Classe pura e tecnica.Per me il più grande di tutti i tempi!

  • agassi the best the tennis

  • Awesome. Agassi at his finest. You may not like the bow, but tens of thousands of fans certainly liked it. Always play to the crowd, not to the internet naysayers.

  • It's too bad he couldn't pull it off here :D

    youtube. com/watch?v=yidqJM1Xl4U

  • I would have wanted to punch AA in the face if I were

AC....not because of the shot but because of the bow.

  • Dude tennis is all about sportsmanship without it you can never be a good player... and with good sportsmanship you learn to let your opponent maybe show off a little... hell I would have bowed TO Agassi or anyone for that matter if they did that to me during a point lol

  • What a terrific shot! I remember that match and that moment. Thanks for putting this video up. Great Agassi memories.

  • this is erichman's favorite video, so we must all show it proper respect. Also, thanks to andre for twenty+ years of exciting tennis!

  • Lets here some praise for old man Agassi in his younger days

  • i wanna see him try that shit with sampras on the other side of net...
