  • This was obviously some type of training.. Give the guy some slack, that may have been the first time he ever done that with ppe on.

  • i dnt think he did that bad, except takin to many caps off, and takin too long, but wht do i know im a rookie, and iv fuked up worse

  • Grab your tools and lay them next to the hydrant, Grab the 6inch line wrap it around the hydrant and yell "Lay Line!" Then once enough hose is out open the hydrant, Flush it then connect the line and wait for the call for water. =P

  • this guy needs to be promoted to captain before he can hurt someone.

  • Hey,Theres a first time for everything !The fact that there were others around who weren,t yelling or helping tells Me it was a drill.Rookies need to make mistakes

  • glad he's not in a hurry...lol

  • Im assuming this is a a new rookie. I've been a volunteer for 3 years now and consider myself a rookie until I learn or see it all, since that is impossible I will always be a rookie. However.. aside that this is hilarious, obviously its training and hopefully this was a lesson well taught to the newbie prior to any working fire. Thanks for the giggles, maybe you can get one of him push starting a quickie saw..

  • is this guy on dope or drunk or wtf is he fucking doing?

  • By time this knucklehead gets the hose on the fire will have burned itself out.

  • Ok Junior Firefighters and Probies of YouTube, we get the point. You can do this. Good for you. Saying how good you are at it doesn't make his situation any better.

  • training training training!!! If we dont screw up we will never learn. BTW when I was going through rookie school a guy did what he did (too much LDH pulled around the hydrant) and the coupling caught in the truck bed and almost took out his ankles when it came undone around the hydrant. Could have been a bad day... oh yeah and I wanted to kill someone because of that music... my GOD I hate that crap

  • this might be a first try, its a little uncommon to hit a side when you have a 5 inch supply line, point is hes gunna get his stuff down pact

  • by the time he's done the house is already burned down

  • LDH sucks. We use 3 inch double lay.

  • Obviously this is a training session. But looks like this proby needs a lil more training.

  • the house is burning, there are people trapped lets go proby!!!

  • im a volunteer ff in training and I could hook up both ends before this video passed, damn

  • That's Sean Garrity and Mike Silletti

  • umm im a junior at tarlton vol. and even ik how to hook up a hydrant and at his rate the house would ahve already burnt down

  • hmmmm maybe he was a rookie or a jr that might be why he didnt know how to use that stuff not every fireman has 30 years experience got to start somewhere

  • this is a joke, right?

  • he never even flushed the hydrant

  • Goodbye house. Well, at least there would be plenty of time to pull my foot out of his ass.

  • Is this the Three Stooges?

  • wow thats the slowest i have ever seen anyone hit a hydrant lol i have been on my department for 7 years and never in my time have i seen a firefighter not hit a hydrant in under a min

  • well we have a guy like this and we had a CO call yesterday, now im only a junior but i can hit a hydrant faster than this guy, we have a guy like this at out station, and if the house caught fire yesterday we woulda been fucked, im the only that grabbed a radio off the rig and he was supposed to ohh well shit happens...

  • wow you guys fail at this and its so simple

  • Comment removed

  • Don't call these guys if you have a fire. Maybe the crew from the local fast food place could respond more quickly and put out your fire with a dozen cold drinks.

  • Comment removed

  • WHAT

  • this shit can't be real,WHAT THE FUKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!

  • GOOD GRIEF !!!! Get with the program, probie !!!

  • Must be volunteers...

  • @GraceJustSharted --- Hey, I'm a volunteer FF with almost 10 years' experience and , even when I was fresh out of the academy, I NEVER did something like this !

  • WHAT THE FUUUCK MAN?!

  • @Buick925 you don't know much about firefighting do you ?

  • notice the yellow probie/cadet brain buckets..

  • Why can't Mexicans be fire fighters?

THEY CANT TELL JOSE FROM HOSE B.

  • @PavePaws SADNESS MAD WORD=(PEOPLE ARE $LAVE$ IN TOTALLY IGNORANT AND ARROGANT DISNEYLAND IS TOTALLY FAKE AND FAIL SOON BBY=)I CANT WAIT

  • He should have given himself more slack before wrapping the hose around the hydrant and untwisted the hose from the nozzle end instead of the opposite. He also should have had the hydrant wrench out and ready before pulling the hose.

  • that dude is hella hella stonned!

  • @BUICK925 No, He is probably in training

  • @MrsFirefighter22

ive seen stonned, ive seen training. who wraps a hose around the hydrant?

    he is stonned!

  • @BUICK925 You apparently know nothing about fire fighting sweetheart. You wrap the hose around the hydrant and signal for the driver to pull the truck forward and the hydrant holds the end of the hose in place so that when the engine is moved the rest of the hose will fall off in a line, ready to use. Then you unwrap the hose and continue with the attatchment of the hose to the hydrant. Look it up if you still think you are correct and this fire fighter is wrong.

  • @MrsFirefighter22

okay, sorry Mrs. Firefighter, but he did look drunk in my eyes, because i have seen drunk. anyways, sorry and okay then

  • @BUICK925 Watch "Fire Hydrant Training" The uploader is Hoonsup. That should give you the little bit of knowledge you need

  • well he did one thing right at least..... he found the hydrant!!

  • I hope there is no house burned because there were all now death

  • Donald trump said "YOUR FIRED"

  • what the fucking hell is this man doing there? o.O is it this heavy to attach the hose to the hydrant??? thats a action of a few seconds!

  • @Medievalfan94 Actually it takes a little more than a few seconds. Yes this guy was having a tad bit of trouble lol but there are several things you have to do before you just hook up the hose and go. Become a firefighter and maybe you will learn a little something ;)

  • I DONT GET WHAT HAPPENS ALL I SEE IS ARSEHOLES WRAPPING A HOSE ROUND A HYDRANT WHAT A WASTE OF YOUTUBE UPLOAD SPACE :(

  • Man thats a nice pre-connect. Wish we had one of those.

  • the song makes me want to kill myself

  • Im a junior firefighter and i may be wrong but we didn't pull a double roll...So right away theres either not enough line or somethings obstructing it....and not only that you should always open the cap sticking out foward first...check if there is any garbage obstructing it...Then do the rest.

  • I just hope this was his first time catching the hydrant so we all had to start somewhere and that is the first time I seen a hydrant wrench inside a tool box ours are always on the back and sides of the trucks

  • meanwhile, the taxpayers home is burning down to the ground. Seriously hydrants shouldn't take more than 60 seconds to hit.

  • @FireEagle1071ad

its a training exercise dumb shit, quit whining about paying tax you gigantic baby, everyone is new at there job at some point and dont know how everything works ok, so how about you drop a big shut the fuck up on youtube and stop pretending you know everything ok dipshit

  • @FireEagle1071ad Yea this was obviously a real emergency and not a training exercise for a green rookie, because i know every time i hook a hydrant,we ALWAYS have pre set up portable lights,at least 2 ,to light the area up.....

  • aahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah

lol 2:08 is perfect timing with the music

  • ACTS LIKE NORTH WARREN COUNTY VA

  • Yes it shall remain anonymous....for their own sake.....the funniest thing was that one of the guys came out laughing from behind the enginge guess he just didn't wanna do it in front of the probi.....

  • nice you guys have a box for your wrench and stuff. we just have our shit layin on top of the preconnect

  • lmao this music

  • i believe i see a few things done wrong in this video...

  • You know, if you guys would just pull booster lines and use tank water, the water goes alot further no need for hydrants. Ever hear of John Bean (FMC) high pressure fog??? Thats scientific firefighting.

  • wow, at my dept we went out training and were hitting hydrants, and i thought when it took me 1 min and 40 sec to hook up a 5" ldh and a 2-1/2 crank valve that i was a slow jr! haha, but all new guys are different so.......

  • proby much

  • my opinion: i wouldn't be mad at the rookie, i'd be mad at the instructors, the second he wrapped the hose around the fire hydrant they should have started helpin him, not stand there with their thumb up their bumb to get kicks and giggles out of it

  • This jr will be streching lines as a nozzle man, in record timing some day...Leave him alone... Seriously

  • While it seems easy to everyone sitting at home or volunteer firefighters on the job, and well it is pretty simple...But For a rookie being watched by a bunch of older senior members (or instructors) its quite nerve racking. He'll catch the hang of it. Good to work the kinks out in training.

  • man I'm tired after watching it! I feel sorry for the poor rookie..

  • Hope he doesn't piss around at a real fire.

  • Why are people being so nasty? This is obviously a training exercise and I'll put money that is a first ever attempt for this guy. What? You're telling me that all you salty sorts did this the first time without screwing up? Wow, must be awesome being so infallible.

  • That was awful, and humiliating. I sure hope that was his first time trying to hit a hydrant, if so it's a bit more justifiable This is why I always press the issue of training. So things like this don't happen on the fireground.

  • by the time he's dont the fire'll be out.

  • Wow , just wow! theres nothing else to say

  • Comment removed

  • this is just amazing

  • Thats horrible... Hope u r volunteer, and if you are, he shouldnt be hooking up your hydrants anymore. hope thats not my house burning on the other end of the line.

Im sure this is just a re enactment, but if not, why are u holding the camera and not helping?

  • @leakage182 hey dumbass, we all train for a reason. its good they are training so they dont fuck up on a working fire.

  • no words for how shameful this is

  • @FFsnapple4623 Ive never seen such a terrible example of hitting the plug

  • by the time he was done wrapping the hydrant i would already be going to get my next set of orders... come on probie who taught u how to hook up

  • fucking rookies who taught you to wrap the hose around the hydrant then walk around thinking wait a minute somrthing is not right walk around a again and then you remeber you forgot the tool box grab that come back wrap hose up even more take off the caps spend next 10 mins trying to figure out how the hose goes on then unwrap it hook it up and then your told the fires out time to go home.

    100% volunter firefighters

  • @tigermki A hydrant pack with tool kit helps eh? :)

  • @leakage182 that would be helpful to have

  • are you kidding me im not even a firefighter but I know how to hook up a firehydrant and hose!!!! if your not enthusiastic about being a firefighter then dont do it cause its not exactly a career youll become rich doing!!!!

  • fire burned out & ppl died inside

  • Actual FF's?

  • Come on probie!

  • ok so the hose goes here. and i wrap it around the hydrant how many times? ok and then i take the kink out. then um i unwrap it right? oh ok ill go back the other way. so now i put it on? ok um it doesnt fit. i think ill just go back to the firehouse :D

  • leave the damn kinks until it's paid out. Christ

  • Why are the valves different sizes?

  • @Jemalacane different size hoses!

  • Meanwhile... Back at the house fire!

  • miss. mathews we are sorry to inform you that your house burned down because of incompetence, we also will not be reimbursing you for the damages, sorry.

  • Next lesson... Turning the hydrant ON lol

  • please say that this was just a joke... noone is that stupid...

  • thats funny I remember my first time doing hydrant hook ups

  • I love the Benny Hill music! perfect

  • I know being new is one thing, but if i took 2:30 seconds to hit a hydrant I'd be getting hit.

  • @ArmyRescue2 it was sped up as well, so it probably took around 5 minutes or more

  • This is grounds for a drug test.

  • Did the House Burn down??? hahahahahaahahaha

    OMG.. fire this guy fast!!

  • @crazymike44 not only did the house burn down, but it was rebuilt by the time this character was finished

  • I think we should hire this firefighter

  • We can only hope its a probie lmao :)

  • dont worry hes a probie

  • drug party at the fire station? count me in!

  • 25 Grams of Weed Later ...

  • @aldomovielovers man i would love to rip through that much in a day

  • dammmmm, some guys just weren't ment to be firefighters.

  • Could somebody explain to me: WHY is this guy wrapping the hose around the hydrant?

  • @deskset24 u do that so when the truck drives down the street to where it needs to go the hose will stay, if u try to just hold on to the hose u will get dragged, this guy has to be retarded or sumthen tho, he didnt even know what way he wrapped it in the first place lol

  • @mougds645 Ah! Thank you! I did not know that.

  • Ta ta ta ta ta today junior!!!!!!!

  • first of all wrap the hose around the hydrant once and wave the truck on, or at least thats how we do it

  • he is stoned and you must be too to upload such rubbish. your sence of humor is amazing!

  • @greasemonkeypol It's funny, because it only takes a minute to hit a fire hydrant

  • Probie... -__-

  • WOW hitting a plug should only take a minute or less!!!! better to make mistakes during training rather than during an actual fire.

  • poor guy

  • Give the kid a break... he looks like he is just learning.... better to screw up in training then in the real thing!

  • ich finde die musik da zu cooooooool

  • This is the worst firefighter I have ever seen. No exageration. Quit now forever. You failed HUGE. This is embarassing

  • Thats why we train. Hes obviously new. We all started at his place. Good ball busting video to get him later on.. But TRAIN TRAIN TRAIN!!! I think I can beat this video.. What ya all think. One of our guys wrapped the hydrant, then hook it up and charged it.... Yes, while still wrapped. We all make mistakes. Thank god it was training...

  • haha annn this should be called the best way to lose a house!!!

  • hes right this is training because if this was going on at a fire scene itd burn before he'd charge it... and its it fast forward and someone wouldve stepped in if this was a fire scene rofl this makes me lauggh XD

  • This is a training

  • what is the name of the song?

  • @i8beanboy I don't know if it has a name, but it's the theme from the Benny Hill Show.

  • LMAO!!! That is great... I hope that guy was doing a ride along and they just wanted to get a good laugh at him..

  • ..........and fire fighters are supposed to be smarter than cops?

  • i remember when i hooked up my first hydrant lmfao!!

  • Looks like Inwood to me LMFAO

  • hopefully a drill.

  • Comment removed

  • wow thats all i have to say.

  • LOL it's ok probie you're still loved XPP

  • god job probie

  • probies lmao

  • lol a tanker plan and shuttle might have been quicker! Keep practicing! :)

  • BAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! poor guy i remember my first time workin a hydrant

  • no wonder they suck....they're obviously volunteers haha

  • hopefully i never get firefighters like that if my house is burning

  • @COUGFORLIFE100 Hopefully no firefighters show up at all if your house is burning.

  • @dima9944 WHAT

  • @COUGFORLIFE100

lol dude that was a drill I'm pretty sure of it haha. He's obviously a probie and I bet he can work a hydrant 10 times faster now. I'd like to see you work a hydrant

  • Thats two and a half minutes i'll never get back... i need to start doing something with my fucking life.

  • @bojoTCS start burning down houses

  • wtf? ive seen hydrents knock people on their feet but not this? what was he thinking?

  • it hurts me to watch this vid...OMFG I CAN TAKE A HYDRANT AND FLOW WATER IN 50 SECONDS! THIS IS RIDICULOUS! LOL

  • HAHAHAH lmfbo I this is funny but I was no better when I first learned or

still am for that matter haha for those of you watching who have no idea

how to do this it's actually somewhat difficult your first couple of times

    but yes still funny regardless

  • The guys obviously learning and its training. Lighten up Francis

  • hopefully he can play bingo and attend all the bean dinners lol

  • yeah this is why they are volunteers.....

  • wat he is doind is just walking around the fire hydrant with a empty hose until the house is burned down and then start putting out the fire

  • lets hope firefighters arent in there in need of water lol poor fucking probi is clueless

  • I'm hoping this is a new guy...and I'm hoping this isn't a fire department near me.

  • wow stupid you put the damn thing infront of it dont wrap it around

  • @zachford111 ha, shows how dumb you are. You're supposed to wrap it around and step on it so that you can signal the driver to move the truck to the fire. Know your shit before you say something.

  • @TheOmegaEffect what?

  • Wow that was painful to watch. I work with a guy that is that slow!

  • Can you say retarded? I hope this is not an emergency. My grandmother can lay LDH and bang a hydrant better then that in her sleep.

  • Not to be rude but the title is very misleading. The video was not very funny

  • hes an obvious greenhorn and the veterans are probably messing his shit up by telling him wrong stuff for kicks

  • @Newbpwng for example when i started in construction they left me after work to watch the concrete dry.

  • this video is so much better without audio soundtrack

  • There isn't even a real fire. A set of portable lights doesn't just pop up out of nowhere for them to hook up the hydrant. This video's poorly titled and put here to mislead.

  • This isn't funny all it is a video of a guy who made a mistake so what.. you people are total fucking retards.. you criticize people for this shit yet you hate it when people give you grief about the stupid crap you do..

    Yeah delete this.. seriously

  • wow, he probably doesn't even have his Firefighter Section 1 training complete i guess... but anyways, as a fellow firefighter, i found this hilarious!

  • what a waste of my life

  • most of them may be "assholes" but I bet you won't say that when your house is burning down and your live is saved by one.

  • and, there's no fire to extinguish now.... it's all ashes!

  • this has to be new beginners???

  • HOLY SHIT i hope i never live in there local

  • noobbbbbbb
