I'm 15 and I have never had a perm in my life. I always wear my hair in a ponytail because I feel like everybody is watching me when I wear my hair out. Ignorant people my age who think curly hair is nappy hair and don't know the difference. Today, this guy commented on my only picture on facebook in which my hair is not in a ponytail. He said "Love this pic.....natural beauty :)" This is when I realized that I was wrong. People know, they just are scared, so they keep their perms lol.

@1221saint... My guest is that it would not work because the relaxed ends is straight... N on top of that my little sister is natural and when she get her hair blow out... The twist out still does not look right... To do a twist out just twist ur hair like u would normally do... N think that I learned about being natural is when doing a twistout take out the twist in the direction u want it to go n do the same when u are putting the twist in...
@1221Saint i know you posted his a while ago, but while I was transitioning, the twist out didnt work unless I put rods on the ends for a "twist-n-curl." It helps blend the two hair textures. In general, however, braid outs seem to work better during transition. Of course, I just got sick of it all and BCed

(2 months now).I washed my hair and parted it like was doing cornrows straight back, then I two strand twisted my hair onto my scalp, like a tradition cornrow, and as I did that, my hair has foam wrapping lotion in it with moisturizer. Then sat under the dryer till it dried, then the next morning, added moisturizer and oil sheen or something to it and then took them out and they were GREAT! It lasted a few days as well.You tried it yet?

This is why I keep coming back to your video, you go to a salon! I am a mother, Kindergarten teacher, wife and doctoral student...I don't have time for the hair regiment that I see some other women use. I will be 30 in October and I have tired relaxers 3 times, they all lasted 6 mos or less. l can respect the leave in conditioner, etc. But my hair just grows, so I started going to a salon. My hair dresser is natural, she understands my needs and I don't have to worry.

i've been natural all my life ((18 years)) & my hair just wont seem to grow :/ what did you get to make yours grow? I have a tendency of messing in my hair constantly, could that be keeping it from growing?

I am so lovin' your styles!!! I've been natural for a year and a half. I have a good length now but I haven't been bold enough to wear it natural. Why? I don't know. I've been rotating twist up-do's, shampoo & press and ponytails. I'm gonna dedicate myself to at 3 least months of all natural styles.......you're rockin' them!!!

This is why I keep coming back to your video, you go to a salon! I am a mother, Kindergarten teacher, wife and doctoral student...I don't have time for the hair regiment that I see some other women use. I will be 30 in October and I have tired relaxers 3 times, they all lasted 6 mos or less. l can respect the leave in conditioner, etc. But my hair just grows, so I started going to a salon. My hair dresser is natural, she understands my needs and I don't have to worry.
