Nice :) I have a 2007 V6. Love the blue gauges; been looking for some for mine without buying a whole new faceplate. I have some blue glows but they're under the seats xD.
@powerbolt09 - The gauges are the MyColor option on the Mustang. I did not add them to the car. The LED's in this vid are simply map lights. (The car has changed drastically since then and now has a blue LEDGlow kit in the interior, another in the trunk, a 7 color LEDGlow kit in the engine bay and an OPTX Blue underbody kit.) Go to rarepony.blogspot.com for the mod sheet and updates. :)
@obiwan5150 - Underbody is OPTX, interior, trunk and engine bay are LEDGlow. All were purchased from Amazon. The LED Map lights were from ebay. Trunk light was blue StreetGlow pod fabricated to replace factory light.
Ha, I got blue LED's in the floorboard, rear and map lights in my '06 Grand Prix GT. got superwhite LED's in the trunk, on the license tag and yes I did the vanity mirrors too!

super nice car girl love it and it sounds extremely loud, I have an 01 red gt vert and even with the super 44's I put on dont think it sounds that nice at idle! also just one thing i have seen i really like and think would look nice with your car is have you ever seen the light up door sill plate i've seen a couple that light up blue underneath and I think that would look legit with yours!

@nickschmidt101 - No, unfortunately, the 2006 didn't come with the plug in for iPods. The 2007 does and it is in the center console. I added the Harmon Kardon Drive+Play to add the iPod to the Shaker 500. I had to add an Aux Adapter to connect the two.
i had a 09' Saleen & yeah i know this is a V6 but that fucking car bairly could reach 125mph.....sucks....... now i have 2011 subaru WRX STI Limited, stock 145mph now with the castum turbo,top of the line computers,and my favorite! *NOS* lol it hits amazing 175mph myb higher just dont wanna die lol

@elijahinky - That video was showing a set of LED map lights which were a birthday gift from a friend and the install took me about 3 minutes... so not that much involved in the time or money department. The LED's on the box in the trunk came with the box... and the box is no longer in the car. Car is driven daily, is a show car and the lights are only for shows. The tires are just fine on this one. @ADD8oi - Its a Flowmaster American Thunder. Single Exhaust but I'm looking to go dual but want to do a whole headers and dual exhaust install at the same time. Maybe Pypes. Still working it out.
@ADD8oi - Took the plunge and did the Pypes Duals with X Pipe and Street Pro Mufflers. My Pypes Headers are en route via UPS now. The SCT Tuner is next on the list followed promptly by the BBK 70mm Throttle Body. So, at this point I have the AirRaid CAI & Throttle Body Spacer, Live Wires, Performance Distributors Screaming Demon racing coil, TCI Ratchet Shifter, the x Pipe, the dual exhaust and, this weekend, the headers. I guess I can't say its all Show and no Go. :)

She has less than 27K miles on her and she looks and drives brand new.
@txsappho I hate to burst your bubble but you won't get anything near 20k for your mustang. You can buy a v6 stang for about 10K right now and I have seen stampede editions for about 12.5-13K. If you leave all that crap in your car you may be able to let it go for about 16K. I myself own an 06 GT, I know what I'm talking about.
@Matterboy81 - It was a HYPOTHETICAL answer. This car isn't going anywhere. I would return it to stock so that it would be concours by the time it reaches "Antique" age in 2026. As a collectible it is worth more in stock form than customized.

This car doesn't even have 30K miles on it and you can eat off the engine and interior.

@mustangfan00 - It is a regional special that Ford created for the Texas & Oklahoma market in March of 2006. 500 units were made & distributed to 300 dealerships in the 2 states. This one is #351. There was also a SCS (Southern California Special) and a CE (California Edition for Northern California market) that same year that was basically the same car but in California. The 600 SCS were not badged. The 400 CE's were.
@darklighter456 - all the lights are LED. Lights are under the body, under the dash, in the trunk, in the engine bay on the front and back of the engine bay as well as the sides on the rails.
@txsappho true, but how'd you make the inside of your car glow? Did that just come stock? If not, I can assume that you replaced the bulb in the ceiling. Nice job btw, riding clean!!!
@grjsb13 - that is the Harman Kardon drive+play controller for the iPod. It operates like the wheel on the iPod. The screen shows what is playing. iPod is in the glovebox.
@southernmxracer4 - I got it at Best Buy and had to add an Aux Adapter to convert the OEM head unit to RCA. You might find some of the older models (like mine) on ebay relatively cheap or you can by the newer model from Harmon Kardon's website. Google it.
V6's suck, but your ride is tight! I like the Blue LED dome lights but do they stay on if you press the button and do they drain your battery? secondly the Engine lights are sick I have to get this setup!! what did you have to do to install them? I would add the kickers but I can't afford the weight every lbs count in drag racing.
@WhiteRyderRacing That's why you have a v6 for daily driving and a gt/lx for a drag/weekend car. Hell and there's nothing wrong with modding the six cylinders as long as you know what you are talking about when you are doing it.
Hey WhiteRyder - the map lights are direct replacements for the OEM lights. They do put off a faint amount of light but the draw from them is minimal and after about 10-15 minute the Mustang will shut it down completely. Same feature that turns off the map lights if you leave your door open too long.
The subwoofer box was removed as was all the factory speakers. I kept the factory head unit (Shaker 500) and amps. I added the Shelby Kicker Upgrade System which puts a 10 inch woofer in the rear with an amp. Total weight 26 lbs.
The lights were installed by a very talented friend of mine who, like me, has a thing for perfection. When the lights are off you cannot see them. This was important for a show car. He's damn good.
Actually neither. The bulb did not have the required resistor. My friend and installer, Tyler, and I modified a StreetGlow LED Pod (6 LED's, Diffused light) and made it fit inside the factory light housing. The issue with the resistor required some creative engineering. :) So, basically, just find one that has a resistor built in.
I'm sry but come on a V6 auto. That just ruined it for me. I choose performance over looks every time. Doesn't matter how your car looks, when you get burned at a light you always look like a b*tch.

Pretty cool. I love your interior. Pretty sweet. I, myself, have a 2006 GT and I am crazy about it. (The only options I got on it were the leather seats, the Shaker 1000 and the leather-bound steering wheel. I wish I could have gotten the "MyColor" option on it, but I bought it used.)

This car doesn't even have 30K miles on it and you can eat off the engine and interior.

@txsappho the car is nice, but v6 do not hold thier value too well even low mileage. Trust me i was shocked myself working at a used car dealership of how bad the v6 hold thier value. you can get a 2010 v6 now for about 20 grand with 20K on it. just saying

@mustangfan00 - It is a regional special that Ford created for the Texas & Oklahoma market in March of 2006. 500 units were made & distributed to 300 dealerships in the 2 states. This one is #351. There was also a SCS (Southern California Special) and a CE (California Edition for Northern California market) that same year that was basically the same car but in California. The 600 SCS were not badged. The 400 CE's were.

@darklighter456 - all the lights are LED. Lights are under the body, under the dash, in the trunk, in the engine bay on the front and back of the engine bay as well as the sides on the rails.

@grjsb13 - that is the Harman Kardon drive+play controller for the iPod. It operates like the wheel on the iPod. The screen shows what is playing. iPod is in the glovebox.

@southernmxracer4 - I got it at Best Buy and had to add an Aux Adapter to convert the OEM head unit to RCA. You might find some of the older models (like mine) on ebay relatively cheap or you can by the newer model from Harmon Kardon's website. Google it.

V6's suck, but your ride is tight! I like the Blue LED dome lights but do they stay on if you press the button and do they drain your battery? secondly the Engine lights are sick I have to get this setup!! what did you have to do to install them? I would add the kickers but I can't afford the weight every lbs count in drag racing.

Hey WhiteRyder - the map lights are direct replacements for the OEM lights. They do put off a faint amount of light but the draw from them is minimal and after about 10-15 minute the Mustang will shut it down completely. Same feature that turns off the map lights if you leave your door open too long.

The subwoofer box was removed as was all the factory speakers. I kept the factory head unit (Shaker 500) and amps. I added the Shelby Kicker Upgrade System which puts a 10 inch woofer in the rear with an amp. Total weight 26 lbs.
The lights were installed by a very talented friend of mine who, like me, has a thing for perfection. When the lights are off you cannot see them. This was important for a show car. He's damn good.

Actually neither. The bulb did not have the required resistor. My friend and installer, Tyler, and I modified a StreetGlow LED Pod (6 LED's, Diffused light) and made it fit inside the factory light housing. The issue with the resistor required some creative engineering. :) So, basically, just find one that has a resistor built in.

Pretty cool. I love your interior. Pretty sweet. I, myself, have a 2006 GT and I am crazy about it. (The only options I got on it were the leather seats, the Shaker 1000 and the leather-bound steering wheel. I wish I could have gotten the "MyColor" option on it, but I bought it used.)
