watching this stuff is depressing sometimes, flashing back to when America was GREAT and becoming GREATER. I feel sad for the children of today, they have a whole lot of nothing. Sad i tell u, SAD. =(
Say, Rocky! Watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat!
The Rocky and Bullwinkle show was brilliant, as was Peabody and Sherman, Fractured Fairy Tales, and Dudley Do-Right. Sadly, the production was so hip, they tried to expand characters, thread of into different shows, introduce characters which weren't funny, and finally ran out of gas. R & B were up there with Ernie Kovacs, at the beginning. Just intelligent and sharpened to a point.
@LaDeborah you must mean savoir fare he was the bad guy, Klondike cat the good guy it was originally on Underdog, along with commander Mcbragg remember him ?
i need help, in the same era as this cartoon, i thought it was peabody, but the into , or the ending had a group of kids marching, as in a parade, they marched into a "secret door" in to , i recall a tent,,, can anyone recall what this was?
I grew up with Rocky and his Friends but does anyone remember Saguafare ( which I might be spelling it wrong ) he used to say - Saguafare is e-v-e-r-y-w-h-e-r--e! sDoes anyone remember that? He was a mouse.
The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show is the collective name for two separate American television animated series: Rocky and His Friends (1959 1961) and The Bullwinkle Show (1961 1964). Rocky & Bullwinkle enjoyed great popularity during the 1960s. Much of this success was a result of it being targeted towards both children and adults.

This cartoon aired back when we were scared to death of the russians and the cold war was in full swing, that's where boris and natasha come from; it comes from the era of the mccarthy hearings, so R&B could say critical things that US citizens couldn't. rosy revisionism -- thanks but no thanks.

The writing was brilliant. Way beyond the lil's kiddies. Kids today have no reference point- because these cartoons were based on literature.

Yeah. There was absolutely no satire in Rocky and Bullwinkle. Yeah.

This was back in the days before the world turned corrupt.
So, a girl asks her dad: "Do all fairy tales begin with: Once upon a time?"
And the dad says: "No, some begin with: If elected, I promise to....."

the dragon floating away actually made sense 'cos the air in the bubble gum was hot air.
(not taking into account the dragon's massive weight and the gum's low elastic strength of course)
baddmanaz 3 years ago 3
Eh, supposedly dragons can fly because of all the methane (ethane?,butane?)in their stomach.
