$4 a gallon for fuel in Australia would be a god send right about now. Apparently fuel just hit $1.50 per LITRE, thats around $6.75 a Gallon here in America!!! Peak Oil is fact. Peak oil merely explains the life cycle of an individual oil field. Production increases then plateaus or peaks, then production decreases. The decrease is irreversible. It's documented fact. It happened in the U.S. (we peaked in the 70's). It will happen to each and every field in the world, eventually. Its not a difficult idea. The REAL concern is the reversion of western society to a pre-1960s society and how that will affect the balance of power.
