Like Russ or not, you have to respect the fact that nobody has put their heart and sole into survivor like he has, playing 39 days back to back with only a 10 day break is insane, not to mention the weight he lost in the first season.
@IceYourPimpHand Amanda did that as well and moved country and had to live in harder conditions than Samoa that looks easy because the sun is always out.
@IceYourPimpHand He's not the only one to play back to back like that though. Rupert, Stephenie, Bobby Jon, James & Amanda all played 2 seasons back-to-back.
@IceYourPimpHand Mk. Well, I was only pointing out that he wasn't the only to play back-to-back. I didn't dispute the distance between seasons (which was 27 days, not 10) OR the wait he lost (which btw Rupert lost 50lbs his original season as well...and continued to lose another 50lbs in AS, which surpasses Russell...but Tom holds the record at losing 77lbs in Africa; his first season).
@Nemle22 If you're telling me that Rupert lost around 100lbs by the end of his 2nd season, then you're clearly not thinking clearly.
BTW, weight loss isn't a big point at all, jesus christ, it was just a little point to how he put his heart and soul into Survivor that nobody ever has before.
@IceYourPimpHand I am thinking clearly...and he did. Do your research. If it's not a big point then why did you go out of your way to use it as a reason Russell is inspiring or w/e when I never mentioned it the first time? xD There are a SHIT LOAD more people who has put their heart and soul into that game and to say otherwise is pure ignorance.
@Nemle22 How small does your mind have to be to not be able to see the big picture? You're so obsessed with the weight they lose, stop being a idiot, it means nothing, it was simply a point to how hard Russell worked and kept pushing forward. Rupert didn't get to the end either times, he had a long time to recover. And there isn't a "SHIT LOAD" of people that have worked as hard as Russell, because not many people have gotten to the end twice, not many people have played like Russell.
@IceYourPimpHand I'm not the one obsessed with the weight loss. LOL You're the one who used it as a reason to worship Russell then jumped on me about it...when I never even mentioned it. I was merely defending myself. Of course not many have played like him. He's any ass who doesn't know how to play to win. LOL Most are too smart to play his way. xD Also...resorting to insults is always the first sign of an inferior mind. Converse like an adult or don't waste your time.
@starlinej it boggles my mind that u people dont understand we're pretty much all friends and are joined by an experience that very few get the opportunity to appreciate
@fairplayhatesyou Hey, I get that. I'm just saying that based on the show, Russell never seemed like the type of guy who would be okay making fun of himself. I guess I got the wrong impression.
@Angemon4 He was a jerk at the reunions as well :-p Trying to steal the spotlight from Natalie and Sandra and downplay their games. He didn't seem like much of a "jerk," but he does seem like he has a huge ego and that's why it surprised me that he would be willing to make fun of himself.
@splashenful he has a damn right to be. And when people always tell you that you have to play nicer and eaiser to win, and he finally does it and gets voted out because of it, it would cut you deeply.
The reason his team voted him out was because they all saw how he played on his 2 previous games, & know what a snake in the grass he can be. The fact was, they didn't trust him, & wanted to be rid of him as soon as possible.
@splashenful He was voted out because everybody was scared of him. He's too good for the game, Richard is one of the best and yet when he returned he didn't get far at all, same with russell. And you dont know russell, are you really going to judge somebody on a 39 day period of the most stressful time of his life? C'mon, he plays the game hard and aggressive, thats what survivor is, outside survivor he's a husband and a dad of 3, its just a game.
"are you really going to judge somebody on a 39 day period of the most stressful time of his life? C'mon, he plays the game hard and aggressive, thats what survivor is,"
Yes, I am going to judge him. On his first game, he poured out his team's water supply, & burned people's clothes in the fire, just to keep people under his thumb. Yes, Survivor is an aggressive game, that has produced many a villain over the years. It also had its share of players who managed to play nice too.

@Nemle22 Like I said, most of them had a longer break then Russell did, and none of them lost 50 fucking pounds on their first season.

Interesting, but, not only was he a jerk on 'Survivor,' but, he was also a poor sport. TWICE now, he cried when he lost 'Survivor.'
