Romney insiders say off the record that Mitt still uses the "N word" liberally in conversation when among friends in private. They say he becomes most vitriolic in his "n word" speech when he speaks of the inroads that African Americans have made in his church. He is privately very angry about the increasing opportunity and rights to achieve equality for black people. There are reports of an extant video from a family birthday party where Mitt uses the "n word" thirty-two times.
Where is our "right" of free speach?? Here is my comment in New York Times article "Romney, the Rich and the Rest" , which was reject :

I think we need a President who is more focused an excited about NOT firing people given the economy and unemployment. Also a President who doesn't pay less taxes that poor old me because he's crafty enough to know how to hide a couple hundred million dollars in the Cayman Islands. This guy is a joke. He's not only the 1%, he the 1% of the 1%.
This is a fantastic point that I wish more Republicans would bring up when it comes to health insurance. Not only is it a good thing to fire government workers, it is also healthy to leave companies who's premiums are too high and who's services are not up to par. There is an easy private solution to the healthcare problem and that is competition.
hell yeah, you go mitt. And start the firing with the government workers.
"All you government motherfucking union assholes can get your shit and get the fuck outta here..............................YOU'RE FIRED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Mr. Romney .... You say you want people to buy their own insurance, at 61 years old I couldn't afford my insurance, my job paid premiums are over $730 a month for me alone .... You don't get it !!!!
@jaddison1112 You do realize under Romney's plan your employer would be giving you that amount of money in a HSA for you to go out and purchase your own insurance. Under this plan the insurance companies would be responsible to you as the consumer not you employer as only the payer. Under this plan we would see insurance providers actively competing for your business just like we see in car insurance. Just like you can fire your car insurance provider, we should do the same for health insurance.
@Dr3wBrN3r With my employer providing my insurance ( and I get a choice of many) I get a better deal because I'm in a great big group of employees. As a single customer I have no clout at all with said Insurance Companies, and would pay higher prices for less coverage. That is, unless Romney is willing to mandate that Insurance Companies treat individuals like groups, and that has no chance of happening.
@jaddison1112 You bring up a great point about the companies not giving that great of rates to individual consumers. This could be avoided through purchasing your insurance through a co-op or something of that sorts. There are many ways to get around the issues you bring up. Realistically anything that can be done to bring you as the consumer into a closer relationship with your insurer is a good thing, one of the problems with healthcare is that there is a gap between payer and consumer.
@DJHesterman He is the only man with an established budget of his first year as president, promises the troops out of Afghanistan, and no war against Iran(thank God), promises lower taxes by cutting down on the federal government, returning power to the states so they can run themselves, and fixing our relationship with countries that border us instead of fucking around with the middle east when we should just let them do their thing. There is no reason for us to police the world.
@DJHsterman What does Ron Paul do that gets him in trouble??? The last time i checked he wasn't the ones with the videos floating around the internet of him ignoring citizens with muscular dystrophy who uses marijuana medicinally, or saying he likes firing people. Also guess what the healthcare system set up in Massachusetts under Romeny's administration was a model for Obamacare. He has also flip flopped several times on abortion. Now i personally am a independent but Paul is the way to go.
Firing, laying off, dismissing, ripping off, and fucking people is all part of the American free market experience, this must not be changed or else we'd be liberal big government socialists.
@DJHesterman Actually, Ron Paul could easily compete against Obama. I vote heavily democratic, but Libertarian is also a model where everyone plays by the same rules which I am all for as long as everyone has to play by the same rules whether & we uphold needed government institutions with tax payer money or do so with our own money without being taxed as long as NO ONE tells me what to do in my "personal" life including what I put in my body! Pursuit of fucking happiness, bitches!!
at least this is in full context for thank goodness. you got to love to media spin on the way they want it. its sad that someone running for president has to watch every single word they say because of ignorance.
"I like being able to fire people". What's the problem people have with this statement exactly? He says he likes being able to fire people, not that he likes to fire people. Anyone who can't see the huge difference between the two statements shouldn't bother voting. You'll only hurt the rest of the country with your abysmal listening and reading comprehension.
Actually what he said there was so logical, I mean you have the right to choose which restaurant to eat at, which store to buy stuff from...etc so why shouldn't you have the right to choose from various different insurance companies you can buy your insurance from? That will create a competition between the insurance companies that will motivate them to do their best to keep their clients happy
Wow Mitt Romney should just admit he likes to fire people. LOL Actually he should just admit that he loves Firing people after all the people he laid off & fired at Bain Capital. Did anyone see the pink slip comment where he fakes it and say I was worried about getting a Pink Slip and then pauses & looks down like I hope they believe what I just said cause I don't even believe that one LOL The best one though is if he can fool Republicans that he is a Conservative.
@sportsmarvel Liking the freedom to fire people, and actually liking firing people are too totally different things. I sincerely hope you know the difference.
@Nez7080 Yes, I do Mitt Romney likes the freedom to fire people since he had that freedom when he was CEO at Bain Capital. He love raiding companies after he bankrupt them so he and his investors could make a hefty profit. He love the freedom of being a Vulture Capitalist who got off on creative destruction of companies & the destruction of peoples lives. He is the guy that gives Capitalism and Free enterprise a bad name but just like their are good people their also is bad people.
@sportsmarvel I'm not a Romney supporter.I'm for Ron Raul, but it's clear to me that Romney was not talking about corporate raiding, but about the user of healthcare services being able to have within the healthcare system the same freedom to "fire" our insurance provider that we now have with all of the other products we buy in the market place such as food. We don't have that power with employer based insurance because all of the important decisions about it are made elsewhere.
@sleedolfine15 He is so insensitive human being. I mean millions are unemployed in America and he say I like to fire people. Instead of saying I like to fire my service providers. or my health insurance providers. However I really believe he does like to fire people. You know the day before he said that people were screaming. Mitt Kills Jobs Mitt Kills Jobs. I am not sure if you have seen the King of Bain but you may want to take a look at that documentary of him as a Vulture Capitalist.
@sportsmarvel I don't know how sensitive he is & I don't care. It is not the job of a businessman under free market capitalism to create jobs..His job is to make money. Job creation are a necessary and beneficial secondary consequence of profit making. I don't know a thing about how he made his fortune, but if he didn't steal or defraud anyone it's none of my business. Finally,it clear to anyone who saw the video that he was not talking about firing those in the businesses he owned.
@sportsmarvel How can you possibly take his words out of context? This is playing up to exactly what the lib media wants from you; they want to control your emotions & support their candidate. Any business should be able to fire an employee who isn't doing their job; they shouldn't have to jump through union hoops. They should be able to offer a job to the most qualified PERIOD.If Mitt didn't fire anyone, he'd not have a company in which to employ anyone.Meanwhile, Obama's admin is DESTROYG JOBS
It's funny when you can witness the exact moment when someone realizes they have just said something they know was jacked up. Not a "not what I meant to say" type of comment, but a straight up "aww damn" comment that's compounded by the follow up fractured speaking pattern as they're thinking of how to quickly recover.
Mitt Romney EXPOSED ! Old "Mittens" has been exposed as a "Private Equity" pirate. It is public knowlege that Mitt is responsible for the UNemployment of THOUSANDS, while he danced away with MILLIONS. His past with Bain Capital is now catching up to him. We will now witness Mitt reap the ugly karma his satanic actions have sewn.
@jimmydean04 mitt didnt turn any company around, he pillaged companies to get rich. shipped american jobs to commie china right after the end of cold war. of course he never fought agianst communism too busy draft dodging. americans didnt die fighting reds so mitt could give there jobs to commies!
@jimmydean04 we didnt have massive layoffs during 60 years of the cold war dude! as soon as cold war is won the reward to americans, you're fired! commie china, you're hired!
I disagree with Romney. I've been going to the same barber who's been giving me terrible haircuts for 20 years, but I refuse to stop giving him my money. Because that would be bad.
I believe it would be best to try to fix the problem first than to simply fire the person or company. What he said is like if i get a flat tire on my car i'll simply junk it and buy a new one.
@lyonserl No, what he said if you are being provided inadequate coverage/service from your insurance company you should be able to get a new insurance policy...Comparing crappy health insurance to a flat tire is a very bad analogy.
@jimmydean04 It has been well said but let me put my take on it. We never worried about any company going bankrupt during Cold War. We focused on keeping American Industry working. Thats how we won, every day we went to work building this country. When we stopped doing that, for "made in China" that is when this country went off the rails. Mitt Romney sold out America.
Taken in context, this was actually pretty reasonable. Although, I think that Medicare should be extended to everyone. The government (Medicare) can and does do a better job than insurance companies.
'I like being able to fire people who provide services to me' . For all who say that is a lot different than saying 'I like firing people who provide services to me' try substituting another noun in there. 'I like being able to punch people' is not much different than saying 'I like punching people'. It still gets to his way of thinking.
I thought I would have to defend Romney's statement because, the media was taking the quote out of context, but I’m glad to see that people can see through the BS, and know what he' saying here actually make sense. But still going for RON PAUL 2012 GRETTINGS FROM DENMARK
@nexus20 Bias? the media praised Mitt during the 90s when it was in vogue to fire thousands of Americans after we "won" the Cold War. Sweet victory! Beat the commies get fired! to make the commies who "lost" rich with our jobs! Lol. Fucking circus.
Anyone notice the Romney hacks are still griping about the out-of-context nature of this, despite having kept their mouths during the run-time of Romney's own out-of-context ad against Obama?
Are there any bigger hypocrites out there than Romney supporters?
Their jobs keep changing so often because of dipsticks like you who like firing people. Yes indeed- this guy is not going to win any presidential election.
This video is HILARIOUS, but not to be taken seriously. Mitt Romney is promoting the idea of being open to other options in the event that one is unhappy with their services. However, I cannot fathom why everyone is creating a huge controversy over this. I'm a Ron Paul supporter, and the last I checked he's the only candidate receiving negative attention from the media. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I highly doubt this will give a negative impression to his supporters and other undecided voters.
This line cut-and-pasted into the story of Bain Capital combined with footage of laid-off workers telling their stories is absolute political solid gold for the Democrats. You couldn’t buy a slogan this good for an ad with 5 million dollars from a Las Vegas mogul but Romney just gave it away for free. This could be used to make an ad that ranks right up there with the John Kerry windsurfing ad as the one that perfectly crystallized the opposition narrative on the candidate to devastating effect.
And this is exactly why I don't like the media. If you go onto CNN they have "Mitt Romney says he likes to "Fire people"".
Talk about misleading. And it's remarkable that people watch this stuff and actually believe that he said this, as opposed to looking for what he really said.
Until we get rid of media 30 second sound bites, our political system won't change at all.
I am voting for Obama but this is really being taken out of content. I like being able to fire people who don't provide satisfactory services also. No big deal. Obama 2012!
@eirefrance Option 1: Cut unprofitable parts of a company, lay some people off, company stays in business
Option 2: Continue to run unprofitable, go bankrupt, lay everyone off
He wasn’t in politics, he was in business. He turned companies around, some lost their jobs, he made a fortune. Can you imagine if he has the balls to do the same process with all the waste in government…
Most people understand the context. It just doesn't sound good coming out of Romney; someone most people perceive as a typical smug, douchebag businessman.
This will definitely contribute to his downfall. Soon the candidates will get narrowed down and it'll be between him and Ron Paul. Strong independent support will get Paul the nomination.
Unfortunately politics don't work like that. Paul actually needs to win something to get the nomination. Right now Romney has the GOP on lock and if something doesn't happen soon we'll be stuck with him. Paul should take off the gloves and start fucking Romney up... before it's too late.
@tantee666 No, he shouldn't. Right now they have a sort of treaty to not attack each other. They're both waiting for the other candidates to drop out. Gingrich and the others are doing a great job right now of ruining their own campaigns.
Once that happens it'll be balls out and we'll see some good 1v1 action. Paul could definitely win some of the states after Florida, which is his plan.
@sporganmurloc Interesting. I definitely agree with you that all the other candidates are set to implode but can you provide some proof of this treaty? I've been following the gop for a while now and I've never heard that. Although it would explain a lot.
@tantee666 It's not something either campaign has outright admitted openly. I think it's just a mutual understanding they both have. It's politics.
Romney wants the others to drop out because he thinks in a 1v1 against Paul he'll win. Paul, on the other hand, thinks he can beat Romney 1v1. It really all depends on where the supporters of the other candidates go. Will they get behind Romney or Paul?
It also depends on how much the media ramps up their anti-Paul propaganda.
@sporganmurloc paul says a lot more things that get him in trouble than Romney does. There is no way he could get the nomination, because everyone knows he could never win against Obama
@DJHesterman Such as? Only the closeminded think he "gets in trouble". Paul just speaks the truth and doesn't give a damn if it's something you don't want to hear. But it is most definitely something you need to hear.
Besides, how does a 76 year old man "get into trouble"? The other immature and imbecilic candidates are the ones who get in trouble. Like at the recent debate where Santroum tried to cutoff Paul and was scolded with, "Please don't interrupt me."
Romney employs a perfectly legitimate principle which we should extend to other areas. For example, China's new millionaires reportedly want to "fire" the Chinese government, which threatens to abuse & despoil them, and seek citizenship and move their fortunes to countries where the governments offer to treat them better.
Just like Jon Corzine, sometimes the big businessmen are the biggest socialists of all. They love controlling people when they run a business, so why would they suddenly develop the opposite instinct of serving the people when they move into government?
I had a a few smart-ass comments I wanted to post about Mitt, but then I heard his comment in context ...without all the media guff, and his comment about firing people who don't provide good service completely makes sense. Yes, I'm what many consider liberal these days ...but there's no scandal here. It's like the Michelle Obama "For the first time I'm REALLY proud of my country". She wasn't saying she wasn't ever proud, but more proud that day. Can't trust the media.
John Kerry going windsurfing wasn't a scandal either. But it provided some perfect "found" footage that helped put together an extremely effective negative ad against the candidate. Throw the stats up of how many people Romney fired at Bain Capital, mention that Massachusetts ranked 47th in job creation when he was governor, show some footage of the fired Bain workers talking about how their lives were ruined, and end with the quote snippet in the subject here, and you make Romney unelectable.
All of the candidates in their party have had their words taken out of context, still doesn't retract the fact that Romney is a piece of shit. But yea, he's a poor piece of shit who was misunderstood.
First of all health care reform does not take away your right to choose your health care provider. Secondly, Mitt speaks out of experience for firing people. He has done a lot of it!
He didnt say anything super radical guys. You're taking it way out of context. I still dont like mitt, but what he said wasnt a terrible thing. I dont like Firing people, but having the ability too makes for a better service. calm down guys. if you dont like him, dont vote for him.
I too like to fire people. If you aren't doing what I'm paying you to do, or you give me poor service: BYE BYE!! Let your dollars do your talking. FREE MARKET!!
that brat pitt baseball movie is shitty and i like firing my insurance too romney eem to be the bet candidate ill vote for him after obama second term dr pau is a unelectable oldmAN father of a racist tebager
Each state jacks up the insurance rates by creating manditory requirements that insurance companies must provide to sell in that state. It would be better service for a company to be able to pick a provider and add services to suit the employee's need rater than a blanket I get the same coverage as a single male that my female married co worker recieves. I didn't need mammograph or gynocology coverage, but I got it because my company was required to provide it to me.
I would make it like in Europe. I think that way money would be spent more efficiently, and these motherfuckers wouldn't have an incentive to screw people for money like they do now. I don't want to pay health insurance, and I do it only because this is policy of the university, and this quarter my parents pay for it anyway. But if I have a choice I wouldn't pay shit to these health insurance people!
@545Kalashnikov UNEMPLOYED PEOPLE cannot pay taxes i guess. But how can unemployed people afford health insurance anyway? Long lines sucks, I know it, dealt with it back in Russia. See, for people like me who are more or less healthy (I'm a little sick now, have a cold) health insurance is a waste of money. I have to have an insurance as a student, but I don't think it's fair for me to pay 575 every 3 months when I hardly ever go to the doctor. If I wouldn't paid it, i'd saved up couple thousand
@545Kalashnikov I wouldn't have to take loans possibly if I'd never pay health insurance. Yes, I did use it to fix my teeth, but rather than that I never used it. I paid more money than I got benefit out of it, so I'd rather pay more taxes. I hate that these health insurance companies are screwing people for money all the time!
damn, i signed on to have another reason to not like mitt romney, not hear him say something that actually makes sense and is taken completely out of context.
@whitearab2 Haha. agreed. Did you see the Ron Paul video where he actually defends Romney and blasts the other candidates for taking things out of context? Dang you Ron Paul. Quit telling the truth and act like a real poltician.
Not only he bankrupted companies, hired people ... abroad and .... fired people ... at home .... he is also so stupid to publically say he is proud of firing people ... with the unemployment we have. He definitely fired more people than he hired ..... he created 100,000 jobs in China, India, etc.
He is not only a fucking flip-flopper, but he is a cancer for the American society
@animals0feel1pain2 Bingo. Besides, how many of us say we "fire" our insurance companies? We say we "drop" our insurance or switch it out, not "fire." What a joke.
@bctvguy Yes, but just like Santorum talking about welfare from the get-go, their subconscious thoughts rise out and they blurt things by accident. The instant they realize what slipped out, their facial expressions change and you can hear them trying to correct themselves.
Same thing here. Look at his eyes when he realizes what he just said, and then hear how he tries to justify it and switch it back on topic.
But to answer your question, I can be really, really stupid. :-x
BTW, this highlights Romney's plan for the American economy if he is elected, which is virtually the same as he had with his businesses: fire employees in the US and ship jobs overseas for cheap labor. If Americans elect this clown they deserve to watch jobs leave the country.
ROMNEY: "I like being able to fire people who provide services to me . . . If someone doesn't give me the good service I need . . . I'm going to get somebody else to provide that service to me . . ."
THERE IS NOT A THING IN THE WORLD WRONG WITH THAT STATEMENT.
Haven't we ALL changed service providers in our own lives because they no longer measured up to our needs?
HOW STUPID CAN SO MANY PEOPLE BE?
Answer: Stupid enough to have elected the incompetent who now resides in the White House.
@S955US84 excuses , excuses... you probably work for the Romney campaign. He Probably let you fire some people too. Firing people makes him hard in the pants.
@S955US84 Hey brain-trust, I see you are unable to respond to the fact that Romney pulled the same out-of-context BS in his anti-Obama ad last month, and later claimed he was proud of it. Why should anyone sympathize with this hypocrite?
@MrTouchShriek - Brainwashed Obamanites like you are not worth trying to enlighten. You gave up reason and logic 4 years ago and will never get it back.
@S955US84 Incapable of defending Romney's hypocrisy, huh?
Then again, I shouldn't be surprised -- Romney supporters generally are the scrapings of the Republican gene pool when it comes to intellect. Even the Fundies pooling their support behind Santorum are less brain-dead.
@pyrrho314 Of course. The Republican faithful in the top 1% hold the same viewpoints on firing people as he does, and the remainder of the GOP love being fucked in the ass by people like Romney with the shallow hopes of someday possessing wealth like he does.
What a wonderful look of terror. Out of context, sure, but this will rightfully be played as a Freudian slip. His platform is tepid, his policy counterfeit, and the whole I'm-just-an-ordinary-guy act is painfully robotic. In Obama versus Romney, the election will come down to whichever corpse decays less.
LOL I love how people watch this and take things out of context so badly. I am slowly losing faith in most people's intellect these days. Thumbs down to you idiots out there.
It's newsworthy because it's freudian. The context is the man's life and work. He made a career out of gutting businesses, throwing American workers out on their asses, and in the process creating a huge payday for himself and a few other wealthy investors. Today he spoke words that embody this truth about his past... perhaps because his conscience made him... perhaps because it's on his mind... perhaps entirely by chance. But it shines a light on his callous disregard for working people.
Ok, I think Romney is a flip flopping douchebag BUT he's absolutely right about this ...... there is nothing wrong with being able to fire someone who provides a service to u, thats what keep competition high and prices low.
i think romney is a dumbass. but this is taken out of context. he is just talking about insurance companys. also, romney should know better, ur running for president and everything u say and do will determine if u have a chance.
@jamphellhamo because he's completely out of touch... which is what this clip illuminates so well. Romney does not understand, and does not care about people who work for a living in America. This is whether he's enriching his friends by firing people, or just letting go the random mexican who happens to be cutting his lawn. Other people appreciate the freedom to contract with people they prefer. Romney enjoys being able to fire people. There's a difference.
@hitssquad There is of course a difference you silly idiot. I derive satisfaction from the knowledge that I can contract with whom I choose. It is my freedom to make a deal that I value. Romney derives satisfaction from his power to cut someone out of a deal. It is his power to knock someone down that he values.
For me having to fire someone to contract with another is a neccesary evil but it is not something I savor like him. According to his words it's something he "likes".
Not only are the OWS idiots and liberals taking this out of context to make political drama, but HE IS RIGHT. I like to be able to FIRE PEOPLE that provide a service to me as well. This is just one of the reasons that many of the police, teachers and GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES are out of control in the country. The organized crime unions backed by the GOV make it almost impossible to fire them. If someone provides SHITTY SERVICE, you fire them. If you can't you will get more shitty service.
You can tell he knows he fucked up the SECOND after he said it. Like a "what the fuck did I just say?" type thing. That's gonna be a center piece in ads in November.

Nez7080 1 month ago
@Nez7080 Yes, I do Mitt Romney likes the freedom to fire people since he had that freedom when he was CEO at Bain Capital. He love raiding companies after he bankrupt them so he and his investors could make a hefty profit. He love the freedom of being a Vulture Capitalist who got off on creative destruction of companies & the destruction of peoples lives. He is the guy that gives Capitalism and Free enterprise a bad name but just like their are good people their also is bad people.
sportsmarvel 1 month ago
@sportsmarvel I'm not a Romney supporter.I'm for Ron Raul, but it's clear to me that Romney was not talking about corporate raiding, but about the user of healthcare services being able to have within the healthcare system the same freedom to "fire" our insurance provider that we now have with all of the other products we buy in the market place such as food. We don't have that power with employer based insurance because all of the important decisions about it are made elsewhere.
sleedolfine15 1 month ago
@sleedolfine15 He is so insensitive human being. I mean millions are unemployed in America and he say I like to fire people. Instead of saying I like to fire my service providers. or my health insurance providers. However I really believe he does like to fire people. You know the day before he said that people were screaming. Mitt Kills Jobs Mitt Kills Jobs. I am not sure if you have seen the King of Bain but you may want to take a look at that documentary of him as a Vulture Capitalist.
sportsmarvel 1 month ago
@sportsmarvel I don't know how sensitive he is & I don't care. It is not the job of a businessman under free market capitalism to create jobs..His job is to make money. Job creation are a necessary and beneficial secondary consequence of profit making. I don't know a thing about how he made his fortune, but if he didn't steal or defraud anyone it's none of my business. Finally,it clear to anyone who saw the video that he was not talking about firing those in the businesses he owned.
sleedolfine15 1 month ago
@sportsmarvel How can you possibly take his words out of context? This is playing up to exactly what the lib media wants from you; they want to control your emotions & support their candidate. Any business should be able to fire an employee who isn't doing their job; they shouldn't have to jump through union hoops. They should be able to offer a job to the most qualified PERIOD.If Mitt didn't fire anyone, he'd not have a company in which to employ anyone.Meanwhile, Obama's admin is DESTROYG JOBS

This could be used to make an ad that ranks right up there with the John Kerry windsurfing ad as the one that perfectly crystallized the opposition narrative on the candidate to devastating effect.
jedijones 1 month ago
And this is exactly why I don't like the media. If you go onto CNN they have "Mitt Romney says he likes to "Fire people"".

Most people understand the context. It just doesn't sound good coming out of Romney; someone most people perceive as a typical smug, douchebag businessman.
This will definitely contribute to his downfall. Soon the candidates will get narrowed down and it'll be between him and Ron Paul. Strong independent support will get Paul the nomination.
sporganmurloc 1 month ago 5
@sporganmurloc
Unfortunately politics don't work like that. Paul actually needs to win something to get the nomination. Right now Romney has the GOP on lock and if something doesn't happen soon we'll be stuck with him. Paul should take off the gloves and start fucking Romney up... before it's too late.
tantee666 1 month ago
@tantee666 No, he shouldn't. Right now they have a sort of treaty to not attack each other. They're both waiting for the other candidates to drop out. Gingrich and the others are doing a great job right now of ruining their own campaigns.
Once that happens it'll be balls out and we'll see some good 1v1 action. Paul could definitely win some of the states after Florida, which is his plan.

@sporganmurloc Interesting. I definitely agree with you that all the other candidates are set to implode but can you provide some proof of this treaty? I've been following the gop for a while now and I've never heard that. Although it would explain a lot.
tantee666 1 month ago
@tantee666 It's not something either campaign has outright admitted openly. I think it's just a mutual understanding they both have. It's politics.
Romney wants the others to drop out because he thinks in a 1v1 against Paul he'll win. Paul, on the other hand, thinks he can beat Romney 1v1. It really all depends on where the supporters of the other candidates go. Will they get behind Romney or Paul?
It also depends on how much the media ramps up their anti-Paul propaganda.
sporganmurloc 1 month ago
@sporganmurloc paul says a lot more things that get him in trouble than Romney does. There is no way he could get the nomination, because everyone knows he could never win against Obama
DJHesterman 1 month ago
@DJHesterman Such as? Only the closeminded think he "gets in trouble". Paul just speaks the truth and doesn't give a damn if it's something you don't want to hear. But it is most definitely something you need to hear.
Besides, how does a 76 year old man "get into trouble"? The other immature and imbecilic candidates are the ones who get in trouble. Like at the recent debate where Santroum tried to cutoff Paul and was scolded with, "Please don't interrupt me."
sporganmurloc 1 month ago
Romney employs a perfectly legitimate principle which we should extend to other areas. For example, China's new millionaires reportedly want to "fire" the Chinese government, which threatens to abuse & despoil them, and seek citizenship and move their fortunes to countries where the governments offer to treat them better.

Deepstarr7020 1 month ago
John Kerry going windsurfing wasn't a scandal either. But it provided some perfect "found" footage that helped put together an extremely effective negative ad against the candidate. Throw the stats up of how many people Romney fired at Bain Capital, mention that Massachusetts ranked 47th in job creation when he was governor, show some footage of the fired Bain workers talking about how their lives were ruined, and end with the quote snippet in the subject here, and you make Romney unelectable.

There's no difference.

Straight now?

Not only are the OWS idiots and liberals taking this out of context to make political drama, but HE IS RIGHT. I like to be able to FIRE PEOPLE that provide a service to me as well. This is just one of the reasons that many of the police, teachers and GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES are out of control in the country. The organized crime unions backed by the GOV make it almost impossible to fire them. If someone provides SHITTY SERVICE, you fire them. If you can't you will get more shitty service.
