I can solve a most cubes, and I had a go at a megaminx yesterday and I had it within the hour. So you can do it if you understand how you solve a 3*3.

That's only partially true. You can solve have of the Megaminx without knowing anything but the beginner algorithms for solving a rubiks cube, but the final, top layer uses different algorithms. At least for me, I never watched any videos and couldn't figure out how to solve the last layer using rubiks cube algorithms, so I used my knowledge from solving the rubiks cube hundreds of times to create algorithms for the final layer.

Not really. It's almost completely intuitive with practice. Unless you'd call something like a commutator a "formula" for solving.

it's because the a meffert's minx is kinda small. the faces are a little to small to be able to do finger tricks.

simply us a chisel (flat head screwdriver) to pry the center pentagon piece out, from there take the dodecahedron apart removing each cap. Either replacing the springs, loosening the screws, or lubing it with vasoline.

I'm guessing you take the whole side pieces out and lightly pull the cap off gently with a sharp nice. Not too much pressure since there is not much glue.

try looking up Nina Kulagina and other psychokinesis phenomena. :-) Not saying this is fake, and he used telekinesis to maket he cube defy gravity though, this is legit, and I've met Lucas in real life several times before.

Remove center caps (be careful!), replace springs with DIY springs (cut them if too long) and washers maybe, adjust. :-)

(The same works for a Chinese minx.)

woo its perfect now! thanks, i didnt have any spare DIY springs so i just switched the springs and the washers from the chinese minx into the mefferts one. took me 3 hours xD. the center caps where extremely hard to take off because they had excessive glue. all worth it thoguh thanks again.

Not fully. But if you want to replace the stiff springs with better ones -highly recommended- and don't have a friend who can work with 4 dimensions, it's necessary.
