Like The Doors they have MILLIONS of fans. I thank Pearl Jam for doing what they did with music in the 90's when music was all about fitting a trillion notes into one guitar solo. That got old quick. but bands Like Pearl Jam in that era said fuck this let's do it our way and dress the way we want.
@kevykev38 Dont ever say that near a guitarist :P Whenever I mention that I love how grunge bands just stopped bothering with the fucking boring-ass-guitar solos, most guitarists give me nasty looks. I've always found guitar solos tedious as fuck. When a guitar solo is the crescendo of a song, only guitarists will give a fuck about it. Lots of bands leaned way too heavily on guitar solos. Monotonous and dull.
@ronnysoeberg Funny thing is I am 43 and played guitar since the age of 6. I like all music and respect all bands and what they did. I like bands for certain members really. Pearl Jam was their early stuff with Abbruzzee. So I rated them music wise and as being a drummer band. He made their music what it was. WAS! Although Cameron is an awesome drummer, I don't think he is a good fit with PJ. but again who am I to say that?

Music now is all influence.
