Very very even. Only at the very top end does the rs4 very slightly pull ahead (at around 1.20), just as the drivers mention. One thing a lot of people don't realise is the rs4 actually produces a lot less than the factory advertised. It's been on many dynos and pulled only between 360-390bhp.

I agree but the comment is not strictly true. My RS4 produced 413. Others out there are under powered as a result of the oil buildup due to the FSI. One of the reasons I sold mine as once this becomes public knowledge you will be able to pick up an RS4 for buttons. Cant believe EVO said the RS4 was a sound investment.

I can't believe...Big engines, nice cars and a bad camera. Why ??? It is so stupid, they have all..exept some camera feeling. Just buy a good stereo microphone to capture the power of the engines combine it with a good camera and edit the scene on the computer. Place some lights on the stage...add some fun to the concept, be a little creative, please...

I think you're being extremely harsh. These guys at the gtboard do a great job of showing us fast cars, great sounds (no crappy european-trance music!!) and the camera work is fine. You try holding a camera steady with that kind of G-force from accelerating. If you're having such a hard time with the sound go buy a decent pair of speakers, I'm an audiophile and the sound here is spot on!

why agonize with these tests in countries where there are speed limits limiting everything to shorts little bursts along airstrips? Just go to Germany and hack down the Autobahn for an hour and compare properly. No need to speculate if a car is a "bit faster or slower due to weight" etc. Within 5 minutes you'll see who is faster on the Autobahn. Go for long clear stretches in the north and (former east germany). Totally flat, hardly any cars etc. I've driven along there for hours at 150+ (250)

From off the line to around 30 secs (which must be well over 120mph by this point) or so it is dead even (mainly due to the rs4 weighing a lot more) then the higher hp in the rs4 makes it pull ahead. Not a surprising result and both very nice cars.

well the z4m roadster is one of the few cars that probably drive better than the coupè, I have driven both and i own the roadster and the difference by lap was minimal but still the soft top did better.
