Hey Steve, I was in contact with you a few years ago and you were nice enough to post my Darfur Rap on the front of the politics section of Youtube. With all the earthquakes going on in the world, I decided to make an educational song about what to do in an earthquake. The video is on my profile and I was wondering if you could just watch it. Thanks, and sorry I couldn't send you a message, you've enabled friend lock.
Steve put your true colors have been shown when you took Mike's name down. He hasn't withdrawn. thousands of people in every state believe in this mans message about amending the constitution so that citizens have the right to make laws in every government jurisdiction.
instead you go with the money. Youtube has been sold out everybody. just like everything always does as soon as it peaks. its a shame.
He shys away from the fact that better border security would cut down on international trafficking. He sounds weak on sovereignty with all that globalism crap. It isnt inevitable people just treat it that way. He is dead right about the "free" trade agreements and the drug war. Ron Paul and he seem to what similar ends but with different means. Paul/Gravel ticket would be very interesting, of course I would prefer Paul as president but either order would really help this country. If only...
I'm a british citizen who wonders whether a democrat will win the presidency (never mind that most are as tarnished as their republican counterparts). What conditions would america have to be in to vote gravel into office? By that I mean circumstances similar to the great depression.
Save the date Guess what's coming? We are going to have a huge rally for Mike! When: December 10th, 2007 Where: Pan Pacific Park, 7600 Beverly Blvd. Los Angeles, California Time: 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Senator: He will be there to speak in person! 3:30 pm! There will be food and entertainment! Bring signs in support of Senator Gravel! It doesn't matter where you live. Come Celebrate! Pass the word! Checkout Interiorstate (dot) com/gravel (dot) htm Please donate Dec. 5th!
1st question: He's not talking about ruling the world, he's talking about governing WITH the world. The US has lost it's international power due to lies and imperialistic invasions.
He wants to end the occupation and make REAL changes to the human condition WORLD WIDE. Support him and you'll be supporting an environmentally stable way of life for everyone.
Reasons you should consider donating, what he will do for the U.S. as President; Bring peace in the middle east, Bring the troops home in 120 days, Education paid for pre-school to scholarship, Empower the citizens as lawmakers, Eliminate the IRS & Income Tax, End the war on drugs, Universal healthcare for all, Bring equality for gay rights, etc.
Hear his plans at: youtubeDOTcom/gravel2008 & gravel2008DOTus
Sounds to me like the crazy people might have a point. The US is thinking of ruling the globe! Listen to the first question again.
War on drugs? What a joke! What happens in a war? Shooting!!! Shoot the dealers on sight then see what happens.
You are imperialists!! You have military operations in 136 contries by the last count. Right now if Mexico was to attack you, you couldn't hold the Alamo! LOL
Hi, malyikaj. Mike Gravel is indeed still in the race! Mainstream Media is run by corporations who benefit monetarily from the Military Industrial Complex, hence the exclusion from the debate. Check out the front page of his official website, Gravel2008dotus for a direct link to his Alternate Debate on Ustream.
While I admire Mike Gravel for his stance on the war in Iraq and the senseless drug prohibition, his populist answers on the rest of issues echo that of other mediocre socialists who run for the Democratic nomination. There's no chance in hell of Ron Paul/Mike Gravel presidential ticket because the two men stand for radically different approaches to governing. The fact that they both oppose the prohibition and the war in Iraq is just a reflection on their sincerity.
What are these socialist views you keep illuding to. Democratic socialism is not a bad thing, but the major of his platform is not that. The core of his platform is in empowering yourself.
Whether or not any socialism can be a good thing is a matter of personal convictions. The main point was that Ron Paul and Mike Gravel are incompatible in terms of economic philosophy.
Alright, I shouldn't have used a word like socialist. Nationalized medicine is, however, one attribute of a statist world view. So, to correct myself, Mike Gravel is a person who holds statist positions, believing that the government can solve problems like health care. He differs from George Bush or Rudy Giuliani on priorities and personal integrity, but not on the view that whatever they think is most important to pursue as politicians is best achieved through government intervention.
Actually his plan does not entirely rely on govt. The voucher/certificate part to pay expenses is in part, but you would also have the choice to opt out or get addition ins. if you want. Their would be true competition to keep cost down by making ins comps. cut admin cost, to be competitive. But the core of this is base on you empowering yourself thru NI4D if you want this or not. NI4D is how your voice is heard, and you decide, not rep govt.
He seems a bit idealistic but he has some good ideas about how US should be but what do I know.
I'm Canadian so I'm not gonna vote in their elections but you better believe the world feels the effects of the presidential election of the most powerful nation globally.
Gravel you are a thoughtful man and I will continue to tell people about you and your amazingly sane and pragmatic policy proposals. You ARE the senior statesman AND the BEST candidate hands down.
President Ron Paul and Vice President Mike Gravel. The two put together would kick major a**. They may not agree with everything but that is what you want on a team. Otherwise you get a team like Evil Prez. Bush's administration who agrees with everything the demon says. Different opinion is very effective for prosperity. A republican and a democrat in the White House, SWEET. Just my opinion of course.
Mike Gravel would never serve with Ron Paul. Ron Paul cares too much about the elite of the world. Thats why Ron Paul said it is OK for Dubai stockholders to own 20% of the NASDAQ, because it is being bulit up as the new financial elite capitol of the world
well its perfectly legal. after all whos gonna fill the gap when saudi arabia thakes out ther 40% they hold in it and china takes out there 20% that is in it. at least well only be feeling a 40% hurt now... ohhh wait, what about the 30% the UAE holds. well theres money to be maid in the fuel industry why not let investments come to us instead of stealing it from others
Some of you think that Ron Paul is a fraud, and everything he is saying is a lie. I know this one fact though, if he gets elected and does not do what he said, there will be a revolt. We are getting tired of being pushed around by our government, we wont stand for it again! I love Gravel, but sadly he just isnt getting enough recognition and money. It is sad, because he seems like he would make a great prez.
bowtowomen: If I had a dime for everytime I heard someone say that, you can vote for the National Initiative RIGHT NOW at ni4d dot us
Mike Gravel needs money, but votes count more than money. If you like Gravel, follow your heart and vote for him, he has alot more support than you think. They want to shut him down more than any other candidate, they fear Gravel and the people.
To all those who criticize Gravel because of his statements on Global Governance, Gravel also supports giving people more power with the national initiative. The national initiative would give individuals more power than anything Ron Paul supports. Ron Paul is a "constitutionalist", he supports putting more power back to the state governments, but he does not support a fundamental change in how the system works nor does he want to give more power to individuals.
Exactly, his world government would be by THE PEOPLE!! These people just dont get it. What it would mean for the people to have the power. John Lennon made a song about it for christs sake. All the people out there who love to say "Power to the People", if you dont vote Gravel, I dont ever want to hear those words come out of your mouth again.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOO. He disappoints me but at the same time satisfies me. At least he's up front but global governance, come on. In other words one world government/nation building is just going to be the same old same old that we've seen for the past 6 years. RON PAUL 2008
Ron Paul doesnt support the impeachment of Bush and Cheney. He is a fraud. Youve probabally been brainwashed by Alex Jones like the rest of the sheep. Mike Gravel not only supports impeachment, but he has promised, if elected to throw them all in prison!! But you Ron Paul idiots dont know that do you? Power to the People!!
I support impeachment of Bush and Cheney as well. I wish Ron Paul would support impeachment, but I would be happy if he or Mike Gravel won the presidency. They'd both lead us in the right direction as far as correcting the mistakes of this administration, and the administrations of the past few decades in general.
If they don't win the nomination of their respective parties, they'd make a great combo for the Unity '08 ticket. So let's not bash each other.
Please throw Gravel some bucks. We're nearing primaries, and he needs get his message amplified. Just give him $25 here and there, whatever you can. He's the greatest thing to happen to American politics since we dropped the ball trying to get McGovern in. Gravel 08!!!
I don't know about the whole direct Democracy thing. I'd rather repeal the 17th Amendment and make the Feds answer to the states, as it was originally designed.

Yet another worthless interview. But, at least he's open about being a [several expletives deleted] globalist.
Next time, if you want to do a real interview, point out that his support for illegal immigration gets in the way of his supposed opposition to corporatism and human trafficking.
Take your racist ass and get out here. Why dont you focus on the fact of companies that hire illegal immigrants in the first place. Or the fact that your beloved Reagan started all of this with his blanket amnesity. Gravel is talking about fixing this problem at source. Meaning renegoated trade agreements to fair. If people in mexico are victimized by NAFTA where HELL do expect for people to do about work.
Ask yourself this question, in the past 6yrs of republinazi rule, controling the white house, the senate, and congress. How come no so called immigration reform was passed. The republinazis steamed rolled everything else thru. Could it be the corporations told them to look the other way. HMMMMMMM!
I've seen other clips of him mentioning global govt. Of course people will try and take that out of context and make him look bad. Unlike the other globalists who want them and their criminal friends to control the world. He more the less said that when the people have control and the initiative to make the laws then global governance would be good.
Indeed Gravel's airtime is small in comparison to the so-called "first-tier" candidates, and he makes a good case for his feelings. Thanks for the vid, Steve.
Another professional interview. 5* Thank you for asking my question. I was inspired by the rock in the water it rattled around the world in various forms. I love American Politics.
Neither was mine, but let's do the math together. The "Got a question for Mike Gravel?" video prompted 43 text comments + 9 video responses. That's 52 responses in sum. Let's round it down to 50. Apparently, it's been decided to apportion 10 minutes for this interview. This sounds reasonable to me; the attention span of an average Tuber is considered short-termed by some YouTube pundits, such as James Kotecki. Now let's assume, for simplicity, that all comments are distinct, serious questions.
So in order to answer all of them, each answer would have to be limited to 20 seconds tops. And that's ignoring the time it would take to read/show every question (though i guess he could just precede each answer with the nick of the one who's posted the question). Wouldn't that be a riveting and effective interview? Are we still sulky?
false left right paradigm propaganda at its best. i challenge intelligent americans to omit the words democrat and republican from the news, your thoughts, and your conversations and pick the candidate that speaks to your heart. For your future and your great grandchildren's futures.

Oops. My calculation was erroneous. Each answer would have to be 12 seconds tops; not 20.

false left right paradigm propaganda at its best. i challenge intelligent americans to omit the words democrat and republican from the news, your thoughts, and your conversations and pick the candidate that speaks to your heart. For your future and your great grandchildren's futures.
Ron Paul is my heart, choose your! OURS!
