Nice machine but you'll have to buy some software and a cable if you want to convert to MP3. I know, you're going to say why convert when I can just listen. We'll go ahead and be that way!
@rickyon You know I was joking, right? I think you were too???!!! Actually, I used to listen to my Dual 506 occasionally UNTIL i discovered videos on youtube. Have only listened to it twice since then, and that was when twenty somethings were over, and they wanted to see how a turntable worked. BTW, the first single I ever bought was We're An American Band, and i STILL HAVE IT!!!
Yes, just kidding of course! I guess you still have that little plastic thingy that you put in the middle of a 45 to play it on your Turntable. When I bought my USB turntable they didn't include one of those! Might have broken the bank!
@rickyon Actually, My motor acts funny when I try to play 45s. The speed is unstable to the point where you can here it in the music. So I can't play 45s. Albums are no problem tho.
I finally took the time and learned this one right, Mark Farners chords are so R n B influenced to me. I love the modulation on the outtro! Under rated guitarist, "SINGER," songwriter, dancer, choregrapher, and general showman. In that fine, fine, Michigan tradition... And I'm from Texas... Got to see them a couple of times (The originals), and they always satisfied... Them young men had pride!!!
@rickyon thanks, I have them on CD to so it's not that I can't hear the songs. There's just something about hearing them on vinyl. I will take your advice, thanks again.
that`s a shame that nowadays no one listen to this kind of music, im 20 from brazil, but not even distance and time will make me know what is a truly rock and roll and bullshit, GFR!!!! Terry Knight unfortunately destroyed this band, their firts album are just perfeeeect!!!! By the way, Mark have a greeeat voice!!
You're welcome! I love the funky railroad.Always have. When I first started playing drums in a band we did a lot of Grand Funk. Everyone of these guys are way underrated as musicians!
Since I'm old and somewhat challenged I can only do slide shows. I've done quite a few and I've learned how to work the web. A couple of the sites I've run across have a huge amount of top notch photos and galleries of vintage rock acts and these are my go-to sites like Corbis or backstage galleries. Sometimes though it's really hard to find good vintage pics and you have to go pretty deep to scratch together enough shots to do even one vid! Are you from Maryland?
The reason I asked was that you had in your favorites a band performing at the Rams Head Inn and that is a popular venue in the Baltimore area. Another site for pictures is Philmages. Just type the name of the subject and the word images after on Google (example kerry livgren pictures) you'll have to weed through a lot of garbage but you will find these great sites mixed in!

Go buy a USB turntable and convert them all to MP3. You should be able to find one for 75-100 bucks.

So true!!! It's a shame that the bass player is not as famous as Bootsy Collins or someone like Larry Graham, Geezer Buttler from Black Sabb'!!
When I first ear this guy played, I wanted to hang my bass on the wall and watch it collecting dust...
