Ok my rifle just arrived.....wow! What an awesome replica....im so glad you posted your review because i would never have got it for such a good price. I missed out on that Arc Generator onEbay, but ill keep an eye out for that and the Gas Gun (which is also a great design). Its so huge....and the paint work on mine is spot on. I may post my own video review of this piece next week but first up will be my London Comic Con review and then my 1000 subs giveaway : )

Ok i should have this in my collection by the end of the week...i noticed on the Weta site that it is coming from the UK warehouse which means i should also avoid any charges. Cannot wait to get it out of the box! Ive made an offer on the sold out Arc version on ebay but the seller seems to be ignoring me! Id love to get that one to go with the rifle!

@VegasDannyReturns Hi Danny, Yes these are despatched from the UK warehouse but are officially still liable for taxes when purchased. It's 50/50 on weather it's spotted or not. A couple of my early pieces were dispatched from the Sideshow warehouse (when it was open a few year ago) and I got charged taxes.

I might try and pick up the Arc Gun a bit later but what I hear on the Forums is that the AR is better finished than the Arc. Good Luck! :)

@RobotOnLine Over the years ive been fairly lucky with imports...i think ive only been caught out once on a Hot Toys figure from HK. Did you get the book 'The Art Of District 9' Kev? Its one of the best of its kind that i have seen. They really show the design and thought process that goes into the film and there are some beautiful illustrations of all the gadgets, guns and alien designs. Weta are such an amazing studio/company...

Hey Kevin, I was pleasantly surprised to see you review something other than Sideshow or MR. Weta did a brilliant job with the 1:1 D9 guns. I have all 3 and I think the assault rifle may be my favorite. But I do wish they had provided a base or stand with them. I can't believe the AR hasn't sold out yet. By the way, I believe they are made of fiber glass. I always look forward to your videos. Cheers!

Seriously it would be great to see a comparison video to see how they compare in quality, looks, weight etc. Am I right in thinking that the AR is the heaviest?

Well I thought about fiberglass but I always imagine that media to be very light and the AR if far from it!

wow! thats  great, im not a fan of the movie but that prop is so beautiful, like you said it would be perfect if it came with a base.

i usually pick my collectibles based on the sculpt and paint job and not necessarily if i like the movie or not, for instance i have the T4 T600 1:1 bust and i even didn't seen the movie, but that bust have a tremendous presence and the work is almost flawless.
