  • ok, I'm gunna go finish college in Burlington Vermont, my major is criminal justice. I have two questions, one does the pay increase as a result from having a bachelors degree? and two could a VSP officer live where they want..or do they have to live in a specific area? I mean they "patrol" the state right..soo yea just want to know because I'm really interested in becoming a police officer

  • i am rigorously training to prepare myself to apply as a trooper for VSP and hope to apply within the year! Being a police officer has always been my dream

  • I have a small red green colorblind deficiency but can be completely corrected with lenses... I'm getting LASIK eye surgery and I am joining the marine corp. do I still qualify

  • What are the requirements to become a Vermont State Police Officer?

  • No disrespect, but this video tries to make it seem like Vermont's state police is "tougher," for a lack of better word, than other state polices.

What sets this state's state police apart from other state polices?

Vermont is hardly a dangerous place...mainly all white folks who just mind their own business. So what makes them so special?

Again, I am not trying to be an asshole.

  • @theboredman1

Vermont State Police has a 3 week "Pre-Basic" training program. It is intense police discipline. Following this, our Troops attend a 16-wk Basic Academy, followed by a 6-wk post-Basic training program. Our video accurately represents our training, as well as some of our daily duties and special teams.

Vermont isn't as "dangerous" as some other places because of our tight-knit communities, respectful citizens, and professional law-enforcement.

  • @VermontStatePolice Thanks bud!

  • @VermontStatePolice How much is the pay, the bottom line?

  • i just filled out the application to become a VSP state trooper, and i'm hoping you guys will take me. i will be delighted to serve. thank you for all you do.

  • Hello, I am a military policeman in the state of Parana in Brazil, I realized that the badge of the police in Vermont is identical to our here, excuse my bad English, Thank you, Cape Fonseca - Military Police of Parana state - Brazil

  • Great video guys,.

  • Ive seen alot of recruiting vids from Military to law enforcement and I have to say,"I wasnt at all impressed with the physical ability of any of the officers nor the professionalism inacted thereof. Get rid of the cheesecake bellies and the lathargic physical aptitudes. Whomever video taped this vid, ought to be shot at sunrise for allowing such a low quality, cheesy advertisement for the "State Police". Looks like he was recruiting for "Slow Chubby Clowns are Us". C'mon folks, its pathetic!!.

  • The colors of the VSP were created by Col. "Red" Mike Edson of Edson's Raiders, USMC after WWII. He was the 1st Commander of the VSP, uniform colors adapted after USMC uniform colors...circa 1947.

  • :D My dad is in the Vt State Gaurd, and he is in this video during the 'Loyalty' section.

  • @cfundevil Thank you for your interest in VSP. It will be here before you know it!

  • This is one of the departments I am thinking about joining in the future. Vermont is a great state.

  • @moparmaniac21 Thank you for your interest in the VSP.

  • @moparmaniac21 i love vermont nd i wanna b a officer in burlington or a state officer

  • @moparmaniac21 wonderful state

  • God Bless the Green and Gold. I want to thank all the men and women of the Vermont State Police for their tireless and thankless service to make the State a better place. I pray for the day when the lawmakers and judges get their heads out of the sand and start putting the screws to the criminal element in that state.

  • @ATruVTr Thank you for your support. It is nice for us to know there are those out there supporting our efforts.

  • Never been a fan of you fellas. My uncle is a state trooper and it has gone to his head. He use to be a guy I respected and liked now hes a power hungry forceful man. Not the kind of person I would like to see him to be.

  • @F350With460engine Because of the society with which he deals, it's very easy to become cynical, try looking at it from another perspective...humans do that, unless you want robots for law enforcement, then that's the way it happens...sadly...
