  • It may work but first they fail to say you have to create and account...once done log in and there were free items but I didn't create one so can't say how many are free and the ones I seen were comics

  • Can someone tell me, is downloading free eBooks LEGAL and SAFE? Some eBooks I’ve seen on these free eBook sites are books that are fairly new and cost a lot of money.

    1. Are these free eBooks legal?

    2. Can eBook PDF files conceal dangerous code and viruses? I’ve seen URLs advertising the free eBook site within the free eBook, even though eBooks are usually read-only. If they can add URLs into the free eBook, can they also add custom code that can execute dangers code on the user’s computer?

  • @RememberToday4ever Yes PDF can hold viruses. If new books are "free" it more than likely will cost you later. If you have downloaded any of these eBooks, i would delete them IMMEDIATELY

  • The global version is now up and running. But hang one, publisher: "breakneck books", download pdf $14.99? that doen't seem so "free" after all. Their one of the most expensive publishers on there! Every one of their books is priced at $12.99 or more.

  • Actually, the books are still VERY free. WOWIO simply changed the format so that you must read the free copy online. As for the pricing on the purchase option, that was set by WOWIO and Breakneck is in the process of trying to get them lowered. The $14.99 price is the actual price of the print, trade paperbacks and was applied to the e-books without our knowledge. Thanks for pointing it out! All that said, we're also trying to get the free download with ad support back up for our books.

  • You do realize this video was posted almost a year ago, right? It doesn't reflect the changes WOWIO made to the system 1 day ago. And, like I said, we're trying to get the free option restarted for our books, which will once again make this video accurate.
