  • Haha, this is actually the best looking Raol I've seen. =)

  • Ok. so the guys goes and steals his girlfriend of a stage infont of LOTS of people and then he goes and baits the guy. And its not like the Phantom didn't give him fair warning. He told him not to go any closer and then he had to go all cocky. Ha. serves him right that he ended up in a cage/thing/whatever, IDIOT.

    A great review. Thank you

  • I hated the present time parts -_- But I was thinking the same exact thing "Its a freaking dog!" xD

  • That PSA reminded me a bit of the novel Animal Farm, but it's different. It was four legs GOOD, two legs BAD. Of course, that story was Fantasy.

  • I love the Public Service bits!

    They're genius!

  • *14* how can you deny that face. ^o^

  • To all the people freaking out about Christine flirting with Wishbone's character in the story; keep in mind that while Wishbone is imagining himself in a story, people don't see him as a dog but as a character from the book.

I know the whole concept seems freaky but that's just how I see it. I've watched Wishbone for years when I was a kid and I still love it today

  • XD lmbo

  • "That is what we call...a noise." Thanks a million, Captain Obvious.

  • lmao Animal Farm reference... lmao I'm loving this...

  • i remember this show and hating the modern-day subplots.

  • His face is better than Butlers!!

  • @PhantomoftheOperaOG At least this guy's face is KIND of ugly... and the cinematography of the lair is dark and menacing... and his voice is mighty... heck, this should've been the 2004 Phantom, not Gerard "Pretty-Boy Can't Sing" Butler.

  • i love how wishbone looks down the hole and is like "Christine!" and he doesn't even seem shocked. lol.

  • This Phantom has kinda a creepy voice.

CAGE, Bitch! *pokes button on organ, trapping Dog!Raoul.

Wait, since when did Erik remove his mask by himself...? And WishboneRaoul's just like "... eeeeeewwwwww..." O.o

  • 1:56 - the composer ripped off Bali Ha'i from South Pacific!

  • lol.

  • I loved these videos when i was little, but i totally agree with you on the modern day stuff. I was always bored stiff with them. I can't believe you didn't comment on how stupid wanda is though. DId you think the phantom was a seriously bad actor? Or is it just me?

  • great review...loved the humour in it also...

Do you think sometime in the future you might review 'The Phantom of The Auditorium' i.e. the Goosebumps episode? Just a thought...

  • @dzve I already have, its in my "Phantom Spinoffs" special.

  • @PhantomReviews OK thanks for letting me know :)

  • LOLOLOLOLOL.

That is all I can say about it. Next, the Phantom of Manhattan- Wishbone version. A notorious animal abuser shoots him where it hurts.

  • @blondenarwhal It's the putty-face of the Opera! XD

  • @ThePhantomSafetyPin You moron! The Phantom is obviously a hummus sculpture!

  • @KissMeQuenley I LOL'd at that. Then I fell on the floor. Now my butt hurts. XD

  • at 6:23, does anyone see what I saw?

  • He's kind of gross. D:

And I swear he in his pants when she kissed his cheek.

"Time for a group hug, everybody!" THE HELL?

  • He unmasks himself? What? That's no fun :P

"Poor, poor Erik." Man! That's pretty close! G.L. wouldbe so proud. :)

  • wow, that phantom actor has a great laugh!

  • omg i love the phantom of the opera and your videos are so hilarious. i've been laughing so hard. thanks.

  • Please upload the normal episode!

  • At least Gerard Butler`s Phantom tried to look deformed, unlike Julian Sands.

  • So what if "it's a freaking dog!" We're suppose to ignore that and pretend that the character that wishbone is playing is human. At least they had WB as Raoul and not as Erik... now THAT would be messed up.

  • @Onitsu Oh, my God, Wishbone as Erik. Ew.

I loved "Wishbone" and love this episode, but Wishbone as Erik. No, just no. That WOULD be messed up.

  • @TheaterRaven

Haha. That was a great reaction. And I'm sure that there are plenty of peeps in agreeance.

    Wishbone ≠ Erik.

  • "Two legs good, four legs bad!"

Oh no! We're reading Animal Farm in my English class, and it seems to be following me EVERYWHERE!

Well, at least they put his name in there. And yes!!!! Dr. Phibes!!!

  • Great commentary, as always. Can't wait for Phibes!

Just as an aside, Texas is not the only state where "bestiality" legality is vague. Three states, not including Texas, have even found laws prohibiting it unconstitutional, which almost makes it legal. I'm Texan, and I know how to take a joke based on the stereotypes of my state, but some things just leave a bad taste no matter the humorous intention.

  • Thank You Phantom Reviewer......as I sat by my comp bummed about life I noticed you uopdated...saddly this is the high point in my life now...lol Thanks

  • "I have a friend from Korea.....an it's supper time."

I'm sure my friend's Korean room mate would adore that comment. :D

  • "With the exception of Texas..."

    AHAHAHAHAHA!

  • I remember watching this episode as a kid. And I do remember wanting to throw up after the unmasking. That slimy face just freaks me out.

  • Btw, I agree with you, PR...the makeup was incredibly disappointing. Before I saw this episode, I saw the Frankenstein one, and that makeup was infinitely better! At least he didn't look like he had silly putty all over him...the Frankenstein makeup actually scared me. :P

But then again, I guess we'll never truly be happy with any version of the Phantom's face because we all have our own idea in our mind of what he looked like.

Well done with this review!!! Can't wait for the next one!

  • I just thought of something...shouldn't the old dude have been arrested for trespassing? AND stealing? Seriously...I know Wishbone never did things incredibly realistically, but that's just whack.

I still love Wishbone, though. <3

  • SWEEEEEET!!!!!! I've been waiting for Phibes since you started these!!

  • BAHAHAHA! Nice PSA. Beauty and Beast and Texas the clincher.

    FEAR THE SILLY PUTTY!

My apologies for not knowing, but what is Phibes?

  • Lol! This was the first version of Phantom I also saw... thanks for reviewing it! I hardly remembered any of it though. So what's the version where the Phantom crashes a bunch of mirrors...?

  • YES! (runs around in excitement) PHIBBBBES!

  • This was the first version of Phantom I ever saw or heard of, and it was the catalyst of a massive reaction... all versions, at least, so I'd thought until I saw what you have coming up next!

You're so right about the modern-day stories in Wishbone. They're almost always like that... this one was unusually dull.

But seriously... Wishbone's not a dog IC when he's in the stories. Nobody sees him as one... it's just to have kid appeal for the show.

  • EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU'RE DOING PHIBES NEXT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ***SQUEEEEEEE***

Your Wishbone review was awesome (and damn, that's both awesome that they did such a good job of it, and sooooo sucky that after gods know how many versions that this is the best one lol), but the awesomeness is completely blown away by the AWESOMENESS of Phibes!!! :-D :-D :-D

It makes me SO happy to know that you're doing Phibes, I can't even say. ;U; <-- (tears of cracky joy) YAAAY!!!

  • Awesome! I was looking forward to part 2. You have made my night.

  • OH yes, and damn straight: PUPPIES!!

  • Christine is so schizo. She says Yes but no buy yes but no! And then when she's crying at him when he's unmasked, she takes NO TIME to be all kissy with him. WTF! BAD ACTING.

2:57 - i like your "Hey look!" 3:21 was SERIOUSLY ADORABLE. From 3:55, her crying/convulsing is so bad.

    LOL SNORING

what did you say at 5:48? I imagined you said Gerard Butler.

What movie is it that you're reviewing next? It looks mighty glossy...

  • you never fail to make my day PR! ^^ <3

  • Wait, is the Phantom's face PURPLE?!?

  • since when does the real phantom take his own mask off???

  • @happyunhappy13: He did it in the 1990 miniseries.

  • The phantom must have taken her, holy trap doors batman!!!

  • I love this!! You've outdone yourself again, PhantomReviewer! I agree, it has alot of elements directly based off the Leroux novel (although its severely watered down and ... twisted) Shame too, the guy who plays the Phantom has a good voice and is a pretty good actor. But they don't give him a proper deformity.

  • This was my first Phantom experience and I still love it, no matter how cheesy it is. <3

  • Another great review. ;)

  • Loved the review, as always, but: come on, man! Haven't you ever heard of suspension of disbelief???

  • "I have a friend from Korea...

    and it's SUPPERTIME!"

  • Well, that was surprisingly good. You know, accepting minor things.

  • Have you seen Terror At the Opera? It's another version by Dario Argento dubbed over in English but originally spoken in Italian. I can't remember whether or not you've covered it.

  • @PharaohHazard Yeah, I very briefly look at it in my "Phantom Spinoffs" 3 part review.

  • "He's wearing Chaney's hat & Claude Rains mask"

    And Charles Dance's gloves! :D

(...and a Lush facemask by the looks of things).

  • and the phantom Looks more like he has dog poop all over his face.

  • Not a coincidence.

  • Oh I hope so. PR s so cool

  • Although your origian Talent for basic humor is funny. Roul De dogiee

  • I kept waiting for Biskutts to end her disclaimer by singing, "It's a dog, it's a dog, it's a dog dog dog." But excellent as always.

    "The doctor is in!" Boo-yah!

  • Haha, I thought I had written enough songs for this particular review ;}

  • "fear my face of silly putty" LOL!

then after that, he definitly started sounding like he was stealing a few lines from Labyrinth

This is os cheesy! Laughed so hard!

  • I absolutely love Christine's constant over-acting!

  • I think that's the only thing I did not like about Wishbone was the present day half of the story, I found that neighbor lady just unbearable, WANDA UGH!

the tiny cage thing was just hysterical.

  • The whole beastiality thing was only kind of funny the first couple of times... You're overlooking the fact that this is (sadly) one of the better adaptations of the book just because the premise of the show is to have a dog as the central character? Why so negative?

  • He's remarked on that several times! We both loved the Wishbone version; it's just funny that he's a dog.  :}

  • I have to admit my own bias... I LOVED Wishbone when I was young. It's probably also why I didn't even blink when Christine was professing her love to a canine. But I was a kid when I first saw it, and kids (hopefully) aren't thinking about bestiality! haha

  • No, no, of course they aren't! It's all just for fun, especially when you look back as an adult and realize all the stuff that doesn't seem at all strange when you're a kid. We were commenting on the dog-thing with a sort of nostalgic fondness tempered with a, "but if you really think about it, that's pretty odd." XD

  • Don't hate on Wishbone!

  • That's a crappy deformity, it looks like he's wearing a mud mask!

Lol the doggy cage! I wonder if the Vegas POTO borrowed that idea!

  • IT'S A FREAKING DOG!!!!!! XD

  • what was that you coughed? I could not understand.

  • hahahaha that was so funny, couldn't stop laughing, especially when they went on an on about the index filing hahaha

  • My favorite part is when he puts Raoul/Wishbone in a playpen.

  • ROFL

    Thanks! ^_^

  • "I have a friend from Korea, and it's supper time!" Lmao! I'm loving the new Christine, who is she?

  • @LerouxsPhantom Thats Biskuits, who played "old" Christine too!

  • Oh! She sounds different somehow.

  • Hurray! I've been waiting for days for this!!! Thank you!!!
