Man, i think Gabriel is more inhuman than Satan. He is impaled with an iron staff and he acts as if nothing while Satan proves that the same attack would be dangerous for him.

And so Angel Gabriel finally defeated Satan. Very biblical. LOL! And they've also incorporated the meaning of the quote: "Behind every man's success is a woman. And beneath every man's failure is also a woman" I gotta say, this was quite a game and I enjoyed watching it a lot (eventhough the player sometimes ticks me off XD)

idk where everyone is getting that Gabriel becomes Dracula, this game in no way shape or form depicts any kind of transformation. Hasn't anyone played Lament of Innocence the series' prequel or Symphony of the Night? Leon Belmont cursed dracula and promised his descendents, The Belmont Clan, will strike him down everytime he returned forever to avenge his sacrificed wife-to-be, and draculas crusified wifes name was Lisa, not Marie.

Heres what I think.

Gabriel possibly has the same power as God, his negativity was enough to transform him into the Lord of the Night, and King of Vampires.

I also think that Zobek was being mind controlled by Satan, and in the epilogue, Zobek was still alive and not MC'd because he was free of Satan's influence.

And a third thing. I think Gabriel's new name is Dracul, not Dracula.

Think on which sounds more intimidating: Dracul (The Dragon) or Dracula (Son of the Dragon).

go through the artwork and look at the sketches for the epilogue and you'll find the pictures of Gabriel as Dracula for the final concept.

No one is dracula, there is no dracula, the game wasn't even supposed to be a castelvania, the story is not connected, the only thing it shares is the name and a few cameos. They made it a castelvania to exploit the fame of the franchise.

And, by the way, this game was meant to be Castlevania from the very beginning, what happened is that it was cancelled until Cox showed the idea to Konami management who then offered the task to Kojima.

He says "eu sunt dracul", Now, Vlad II Dracul(dragon/devil) was the father of Vlad Tepes(the impaler) who was also named as Draculea(son of the dragon/devil), this name is paraphrsed as Dracula, so by gabriel's own words he himself states that he is not dracula, but the father of dracula. If Cox or kojima start saying that he is dracula after making him say otherwise then they are idiots who didn't even care to check their sources...

Each of the dark lord guarded a piece of the God Mask, which they used as a source of their power. However, Zobek was the only one who saw the potential if those 3 pieces were combined. He could not do it himself because he was not strong enough. He then used Gabriel, a warrior who was meant to reclaim the power, to help him collect the pieces. When Zobek succeeded he killed Gabriel instantly, but got himself 'killed' by Satan right after.

Satan was the one who been giving direction to Zobek, although Zobek didn't realize it at all. Gabriel, who's supposedly dead, was resurrected by God in order to defeat Satan and reclaim the God Mask taken by Satan. At the end Marie ascended to heaven with the mask and Gabriel was left alone in this world.

I am guessing by giving Gabrile his life back, God had turned him into an immortal, which explains why Gabriel, in his Dracula form, said ' I cannot die, yet I cannot live'.

Gabriel lost his faith in the brotherhood when he found out the founders were in fact lords of the shadow. He then lost his faith in himself when he knew the truth about his wife's death. He got beat completely at the end of the game when he realized there's no resurrection afterall. He was betrayed, used and fooled all along. All those negative emotions, together with the super power he obtained, would bring up his dark side and make him another lord of shadow,

I think once he had killed the lord of shadows and defeated Satan, only to find out that his dream of having his wife back was a lie drove him crazy. I wonder why wasn't what Marie told him enough to make him repent... and how did he become a lord of shadow? Did he use Satan's mask? Where was this REAL Zobek this whole time?! smh still a great game

Yea i too believe it has something to do with the devil mask, but his endless love for Marie has got to be the major reason. Marie didn't tell him the truth b/c she's faithful to God and God needed Gabriel to take out the Dard Lords.

I am also confused by the real Zobek. He's the lord of dark arts so he could have been invisible the whole time. But it's kinda contradictory that he cared alot about Gabriel while using him to reach his personal goal at the same time.
