BOTH these cars are awesome...of course the GTR is better for power but if u cant afford a GTR then GTS-t is just as fun with the little money you have to work with......im from new zealand and if theres one car we specialise in its the skyline.....i have a nissan skyline gts-t rb20det TO4e turbo external gate screamer pipe and i love the car..i'd love to have a GTR but i cant afford it but the gts-t gives just as good az it gets

I've been looking at so many of these for sale in japan for $3500-$12,000 plus shipping. To Canada is around $1000 I think there were also r33s r34s supras and stuff too bad I don't remember the website the supras I saw one for $5000 and most of the cars are tuned :)

Find a clean, low mileage, stock JDM and pay a little bit more initially, and you'll save money in the long run. This is especially true for Skyline's.

NZscott mind telling me what psi stands for im guessing the higher you psi it takes more force to make your car go faster but the lower psi you have you have more speed and acceleration when you start off?

PSI is pounds per square inch of air your turbo is forcing into the motor. More PSI means more air which means more horsepower = faster car lol.

The turbo still comes on at the same time on low or high boost but when but the higher the boost the more acceleration you will have, there is a noticeable change in even 1-2 psi, but 5-10 psi is massive.

These run 7-8 psi factory, when you have a bigger exhaust and air filter it puts it up to 10psi. Boost has'nt been wound up at all and you can pretty much run whatever you like depending on the turbo. I could run 20 psi if I really want to but then you need more fuel which means bigger fuel pump and injectors etc.

The turbo has abit of lag its alot bigger than factory but when I first take off I did'nt launch it I did it slowly as its too hard with one hand holding a camera.

Yeah, I don't know what that guy is talking about. Here in Alberta, I got pulled over about a billion times when I first got my R32 5 years ago.. sometimes more than once in an hour, as RHDs were relatively new in AB still and the cops were suspicious of the legality of any RHDs they saw on the street. They never once mentioned any 'legal boost limit' to me. That sounds like some made up ricer nonsense.

It really depends on how you drive it. It can use heaps if your always using full boost but driving round normally you'll get 400-450kms out of a tank on average.

I don't know if you own a turbo vehicle but that is incorrect. A good Fmic would generally only cause a pressure drop of about 1 psi, which would equate to maybe 500 more rpm before maximum boost if the pressure was not changed. Thats not very much lag for a good 15 horse top end. I'm not sure where you got the number 14 as the magic number for a fmic. Also the factory sidemount in our gts-t's is fine for street driving but will be heat soaked in a matter of minutes on the track.

Man, if the FMIC is big, the air has to circulate along a longer path, ofc there will be lag, but in the end it all depends on what the person wants, if they're ready to sacrifice some responsiveness for power. Yes I do own and have owned turbo vehicles. And I never said its a huge amount of lag, I'd rather take responsiveness, but it would definitely be there, I dunno why you're arguing that, 14 is not a magic number, its a ball park number.

But your not losing much responsiveness at all and you have all that added reliability and some power. And i know first-hand that the factory side mount does terribly on the track. I think one more lb of boost would offset the loss from the intercooler, and any stock turbo'd vehicle could take one more lb.

Gts-t are rwd, Gts-4 and Gtr are 4wd. It cost me less than $5000 before the mods and is real tidy. They are a cool car and nice to drive and gets heaps of attention, but they are getting a little old now so try to find one in good conditon especially if you are paying that much $.
