Man, do I miss 1984! Our great nation was prospering financially, we had an All-American President in The White House who kowtowed to no one, & we had great songs playing on the radio like this one! President Reagan even admired & praised Bruce Springsteen as a patriotic American (even though their political views differed greatly)!!! Reagan admired Springsteen so much, that Reagan briefly used "Born In The U.S.A." as his campaign theme song during the 1984 Presidential campaign. R.I.P., Ronnie.

This song is really time appropriate. This world is just getting tougher and rougher. The winds seem to be a whole lot more wild, outside the rain and the driving snow seems to be a little more driven.
