Last year, I too was unemployed but only for 2 months and then another month after my summer job contract ended and it was rough even for that short time.
I don't know your situation at all really but I'd suggest doing what you're good at - being creative.Think laterally; perhaps get stuck into some study to build on your skills? Brainstorm and diversify your options for employment.Creative people I think are more adaptable than others.

Agencies are the worst...I hate them...I won't even apply for a job if it's through an agency anymore. They "bait & switch" all the time. You tell them what job you want to apply for and then after they get all of your info, they tell you it's been filled. Then they use you as bait so that employers will list with them because they have so many "qualified" people in their pool.
