There is no doubt this kid knows how to play ball but hes peaked way early. He is like a man playing among boys. Maybe he will be a super star but the reason he is performing so well right now is that he us way more developed then the other kids
@nastylikenas27 hes not "more developed" he just works harder.. find another 16 year old that comes home after a week of baseball.. dropped his bags and goes to the cages ? he isnt even close to peeking, its has only just begun, hes gonna be a spectacular player because he loves the game, and that motivates him everyday, the kid is a beast.. getting drafted will just get him better coaching and a veteran presance around him.. which will only make him better if ya ask me
@nastylikenas27 Not true at all. At this stage, it has nothing to do with development of the body. How much more do you think a 17 year old is going to grow? Not too much, stop making excuses. Harper has raw tools. Even if he is peaked, his tools are already MLB-ready. Could be 100+ from the OF, with the quickest hands baseball has ever seen.. dont even talk about peaking early
@nastylikenas27 dude he is on varsity playing kids who are already full grown and average seniors is already full grown hes is just straight up better than everyone
@nastylikenas27 anyone that can hit the ball that far and is that fast, i dont care if he peaked while he was a freshman in highschool he's still mlb material
@nastylikenas27 anyone that can hit the ball that far and is that fast, i dont care if he peaked while he was a freshman in highschool he's still mlb material
@nastylikenas27 first of all, he's 16 in this video playing in the Tournament of Stars which is an 18U tournament of the top 144 players in the country. He was the best player there. As a SIXTEEN YEAR OLD, he was better than all of the EIGHTEEN YEAR OLDS. He was a first overall pick, I guess you outsmarted the Nationals and realized that he peaked.. Maybe they should consult you next time.
There has been a few prodigys like this who can hit the ball 600ft and have come into the major leagues and their problem is hitting for average. That been said i don't think he could be any better than what he is right now, thats how good he is
no he dropped out of high school because they gave him a GED he's in junior college now and hell be in 2010 draft... he's only good at 16 because he has peaked early as a baseball player which is rare but it obviously happened to him... he's at the point in his life that he'll play his best baseball
he may of peaked at this age, but theres no way its downhill for him now. Yeah the kids big, but hes hitting balls farther, running faster, and throwing harder than many major league ball players. The kid can only kid stronger and better, and theres no way, at this young hes going to peak.
let's not make him a hall of famer just yet... using wood bats in another game... he's really good but look who his competition is a bunch of scrubs... I saw him play in the aflac game and he didn't do very good against the good pitchers... it is just one game but still... there is alot more to baseball then swinging the bat and i really hate when people talk about homeruns... i like how he hit .626 and if he continues working on hitting and not power hell have a great career
@havee3333333 .. you made the wood bat comment 5 months ago.... how do you feel now that he hit 31 bombs in college, 28 of them with woody ? [= ( thats in just 61 games )

kms0694 11 months ago
@StealthMode86 yea 500 ft with Aluminium bat give him a wood bat and lets see if he will get the 500 ft
joshley18 10 months ago
@joshley18 he could probably still hit a 450 with wood, for an 18 year old thats amazing.
GLMbackwards 10 months ago
@GLMbackwards well i never saw him to hit a home run yet
joshley18 10 months ago
@joshley18 well he isnt in the starting lineup so its a little hard. and he was hitting bombs to the top deck during a batting practice
