@winteryam To me the "worried shoes" are a metaphor for an anxious state of mind that one takes on, maybe because of a negative experience (or experiences), stressful situation, etc..........you can make things worse when in that state of mind ("I marched further and further away"), but when you get out of that anxiety, there's a big sense of relief ("I looked all around and saw the sun shining down").
