@fraulens What cheats are you using? It's pretty clear you do have some because of the amount of resources you have. It would be impossible to win as Germany on Very Hard with wasteing all that IC.

How can I save the german army from Stalingrad in the scenario starting from 1943?Pealse help.

@lithuanianhussar There is a glitch that I'm triyng to solve: in Stalingrad you only have more 6th Army HQ and XI. Armeekorps HQ. They are doomed, you can't do nothing to save them... BUT... if you have a look at the file GER_TheTideHasTurned, there are more units trapped in Stalingrad: 60th Infantry division (mot), 16th and 24th panzer div. and 113rd, 305th and 389th infantry divisions... with all these units you should be able to hold enough while you prep the counterattack

I tried but always failed and it became even worse(the breakthrough in Braslav , somewhere in Latvia and so on).I also tried to bring to the frontline ALL free units , even HQs.And nothing again.

You should be able to kick the Allies back into the English Channel, fortify all the northern provinces of France and transfer all the Panzerdiv. on the Eastern front. There, you must immediatly fall back into Poland, behind the Bug or the Vistola River (the river near Warsaw) and dig in. Eventually, you can try this strategy: fall back to the Oder with your infantry...

@fraulens ... while keep your mobile units in Prussia and Hungary. When the Soviets advance, you strike their rearguards, trapping (I hope) a lot of divisions of the Red Army. Be careful because your troops seems to be outnumbered by the Soviets...

@lithuanianhussar Supplies = the same problem that I encountered at 2:17 - 2:18 (you can see that the left wing of the encircling panzers was halted by poor supplies!)... I have checked the file GER_TheTide... and I have found that you have a transport wing in Berlin... try to use this to bring supplies to the advancing panzer divisions. Remember to use infantry, garrison and police brigades to suppress partisans...

@fraulens I have some difficulties with my previous strategy.I have broken through the frontline with panzers but I need several massive groups of infantry to stabilise the extended frontline and then to help Paulus,because my small gruops of panzers are often cut off from supplies and they can't help him.When I move from Stalingrad , I'm usually defeated at the river Don .

Maybe there is another possible strategy where the group of armies surrounded near the Black sea can be used , so that not to move your forces through rivers and meet Paulus somewhere to the south of the river Don.But here you also need large army groups.

wow really nice! Excellent strategy. I use kind of the same when I play... but i usually play on hard... haven't tried very hard though. I think you could have get a WC (World Conquer), but i suppose that wasn't your intention ? I usually do that with Germany. only once i played russia and when germany attacked me, after victory I started WW3 against Britain, US and France and conquered all of Europe, China and invaded North America via Iceland/ Greenland.

I believe Hitler was a superior strategist compared to any clowns yelling here. He did good for a corporal and even if he wasn't the mastermind of all operations, he was the man who made the last decision, always. Germany's allies were weak, Germany and Japan being the only strong countries in the Axis. That's why he lost. He could have won tho, but he didn't have history books about WW2 to help him. :P

@PitkaMasa1 Nah, he pretty much lost because of making really bad decisions. He hardly ever listened to the masterminds of the Army such as Rommel, von Manstein, and Manteuffel. For example, von Manstein could've very much won Kursk in a massive encirclement (if I remember from reading) with Army Group South. Hitler panicked due to the Allies landing at Sicily and pulled the plug on a win that could've turned the tide again on the East Front. The allies could've been dealt with later.

@TheSwinia23 The key for my counterattack was speed: Panzergruppen 2 and 3 managed to trap most of the Soviet Armies in the 'Poland pocket' while infantry and planes did the rest... ^^

-ussr stopped after warsaw, liberated poland and they stood in one place

-i couldnt make a pocket as i was loosing battles when trying to cut them off

After reuniting in 1871 it was instantly a superpower again and even after 1919 it remained a very powerful country. The fact that France and UK wanted Germany disarmed after 1919 is proof of the fact that they always were scared of Germany cause its industrial power has always been far bigger than this of most other Nations..this remains true until today

It was another power gamble initiated by France and only lasted little more than 1 year until a monetary reform rook place in 1924. The hyperinfaltion did not mean that germany was not powerful industrially spoken or that there was no productive potential. Only few years later the entire world went into the big depression which started in 1929.

Nice moves, the pocketing of the Soviet units. But unfortunately HOI3 does have any AI to react to any of that. It would be same if you did something else. You win by building the strongest units (like Warcraft 1 1993). US is incapable of attacking you and it just builds 1000 infantry and place them on Washington. I wish the game was modded I was wrote in the Paradox forums 'Influencing other nations'

i loved it,that was smart of you to hold your units back in the center but keeping flankes up and then close the main force in a pocket, then keep making more pockets,i always did a frontal attack that works but costs you like 3 years until the bloody russians finaly surrender.that was realy nicely played dude!
