Consistency and patience is my problem. I would say that I am slowly developing a few series, but I've been going back and forth between a couple: monochrome nudes, 'stained glass' style, and pixelated paintings.
Though now I'm focused on jewellery. Yup! far too many things I want to try out! hehe
Never really thought about going at it the way you suggest. Good advice though :-)
@IrisMG That really depends on how involved each piece is. If your goal is to have an exhibit, I would aim for at least 10 pieces regardless. As for my example of 10"x10" oil paintings, if it were ME I would want to aim for 20-30 pieces, but honestly, it's whenever the series feels "done," whatever that means to you. I have several series going that I am still adding to. There are no "right" answers that apply to everyone. The important thing is to clearly define your own goals.
thank you so much! i was just painting the other day, and was getting frustrated, because there are SO MANY options, that it can be overwhelming. you beautifully explained it, and got me back on track! lots of love!

This is the best instruction I've heard in a while. Cedar is a good speaker.

Great tips for us beginners, Cedar, thank you! Question: If 10 pieces is a mini-set, then how many is a full set? Thanks
