  • thank god for the retrotv channel on directv

  • @leo12namath retro tv is free where I live and yes, it's pretty good

  • I wonder where they got the great creepy background music with the finger snapping and horn sounds and the eerie -I dunno if it's keyboard music or what-but it's great. I also wonder where they got the cartoon network theme music from the mid 90's. Turner networks were awesome back then.

  • TNT are a buncha cocksuckers they don't know what people wanna see they don't know shit!!

  • Wow...MONSTERVISION gone...100% WEIRD! gone...CARTOON*NETWORK gone (The Classics that is)...USA UP ALL NIGHT gone...SCI~FI CHANNEL CLASSICS...gone...It would seem only on HERE can you find what WE FANS CRAVE: The CLASSIC HORROR/SCI~FI MOVIES!!!

  • @princeeverlove don't forget Commander USA's Groovy Movies are gone also. Cable tv is really pathetic crap nowdays

  • @MOSUGOJI I miss the Commander.

  • FUCK DRAMA!

    WE WANT HORROR!

  • @Morgethein

I probably watched this night of television and I'm here to tell you they played the 50's version. They just called it the wrong THING! (get it? Haha) but seriously until Joe Bob started hosting Monstervision was usually composed of old 50's and 60's movies. Sometimes they would just show marathons of the outer limits and the most frequently showed films were the Godzilla movies.

  • Back when TV was fun, when networks actually made an effort and created spirit for their marathons and specials. Now, it's all rerun dramas.

  • no more horror on tv sep amc fear fridays, but its lame ones like Halloween 5 an 6 and dumb shit

  • God dam i miss the old days.

  • I just realized the guy who does the old tnt bumpers was also the voice of chad ghosta-space ghosts evil twin!

  • Yea! I taped this way back in the day, unfortunatly not all my VHS tapes made it to DVD-R. Thank God I kept all my paperbacks and comics.

  • Wow, I remember this exact ad. It was the first time I had ever seen "The Thing" -- which is still a damn good movie. Man, I miss Joe Bob Briggs and Monstervision.

  • sigh...bring it back...

  • thnks to fucken ted turner, tnt is now fucken drama shit-fuck you seniors

  • Actually Ted Turner resigned from the board of Time Warner in 2000, I believe.

Time Warner is responsible for turning TNT into a boring repository of drama reruns, much like NBC Universal has ruined USA Network and SCI FI.

  • @jasoncinema Turner has said in interviews he regrets selling his old channels now, particularly regrading how bad CNN got. Too late now though, teddy. ;(

  • @jasoncinema Exactly. Time/Warner also owns CNN which why that "news" channel sucks now. All major networks suck now because they are corporate controlled. When these channels were independently owned, they had much batter programs on. I especially miss the old USA Network.

  • And yet again, more good monster movies no channel has the balls to play anymore.

  • @gfantheheroman not entirely true theres alot, but they are all HD channels and you can only get them with either dish or digital cable......

  • @RavenRX Well, I guess that might be true. Still, it sucks that it's so hard to find good monster movies on TV period.

  • @gfantheheroman still have Fear Friday on AMC but that use to be good and im starting to think its fading away, which use to be good with a double dose but i thinks its been dumbed down to one movie,

  • @RavenRX even then there are not many, I got DISH and most of the HD channels have reality and cop show garbage

  • @cheapcape people love reality, also i take back what i said about FEAR FEST. This year was pretty good alot of movies were making there AMC debut including a few romero and flight of the living dead also it was hosted by the deadfather himself. Anyways one that kinda stood out and loved their promo for their channel was FEARNet looking at their lineup they show alot of Hollywood,Old School and Indie horror like the indie zombie flick Undead or three of the Phantasm movies.
