Kaspar was the best hip-checker hands down! Kaspar owned on that ... it was signature! I wish more people played with his intensity. Call him a pest or whatever but he sure did what he had to do defensively and sometimes offensively. He rocked for the Pens, pretty good for the Islanders, too. I wouldn't consider Potvin better than him at hip-checking; it was easier for Potivn to take down people because he is huge compared to Kaspar. Kaspar perfected the art of hip-checking ... a dying art at that. Potvin may be a better d-man in many senses, but Kaspar and his hip-checks are beautiful.

Kaspar has the worst luck, he works his tail off in the offseason, cuts his hair, only to be cut from the team. NO ONE is going to take him for 3.5 million this season, unless they have to.
