  • dude! read before documenting! just a feedback.. thanks for the intention

  • wow it must of cost alot of money to buy all those routers to put in your house

  • how do you get the default wifi unlocked

  • are you in the ghetto cuz i think i hear cop cars and a guy yelling in the background

  • Not a sniffer a sniffer tells you what packets are being sent

  • This is not a sniffer. A sniffer is a packet analyzer (aka network analyzer, protocol analyzer or sniffer), computer software or hardware that can intercept and log traffic passing over a digital network.

This shows you what networks you can connect to but not what traffic is being transmitted to and from them. Therefor, this is not a sniffer. Bone up on your vocab because this video gets a failing grade.

  • That's not a sniffer. Sniffers show network traffic and its contents. You are showing a wifi detector.

  • @quantum0000

Yeah i want to try and get Packet sniffer for iPod Touch for when i'm out no way am i paying a Hotel £6 an Hour for slow internet and the same for other places

  • @GamePlayUpload That would be cool. But, you need a promiscuous network adapter and I doubt it would be on that device. Ick... you PAY for Internet in hotels over there? That has to suck.

  • @quantum0000

They have cheaper internet if you uses there computers but i guess that's because

they don't let you you download not 100% sure about price but i know it ain't cheap but some hotel's give free WiFi others rob you blind

but there's more hotel's i've been to that have a BT WiFi you pay for than free WiFi

  • @GamePlayUpload Not in the US. It's free. It doesn't increase the price of anything. Everyone from the $50 hotel to the $200 hotel had free WiFi. Every McDonalds, StarBucks, Borders, and Panera also has free WiFi. It's free. It's not restricted. It's the full Internet. I'm in 10 hotels a year; I've never paid for WiFi and I've never been charged extra. Welcome to 2010. End of Discussion.

  • @quantum0000

    :)

  • If you want to sniff WiFi on iPod you should use Stumbler.

Much better way is to use kismet with Nokia N900 because Ipones and ipodes sucks. You can't put iPod wireless card into monitor mode.

Steve Jobs is more asshole than Bill Gates. I use iPod as a flash drive

  • Hmmm.....this is pretty pointless. I thought it would have something to do with scanning the people on a certain wi-fi network and exploiting their cookies, in order to hijack their sessions.

  • Whats the point of this video? You can't do anything spectacular by finding known signals that allow you to connect legally. Fail, do something ub3r you n00b =P

  • you're retarded

  • if you jailbreak an ipod you can get an app called stumbler which shows up to 200 networks at a time :D

  • thanks dude i got it

  • comment qu'il appuis comme un barbare sur les touche...

  • get the wifinder app. its amazing and can connect automatically to an open network and its free

  • mine wont even search anyone have any advice

  • wat is this firmware 1.1.2?

  • lol, I use that as a Wi-Fi sniffer all the time, when I'm in the mall, neighborhoods etc., lol... its VERY useful, and... it detects signals alot farther than I initially thought (they should make a wireless n adapter or a built in one, lolz...)

  • Sabby321

it means it picks up alot of wireless fidelity

  • i got a new i touch but, it doesn't conect to the internet with wifi. and is asking me for a password so i type in my password which is located on the back of my router and it doesn't work anyways, what should i do to make it wor?

  • make sure u typed the code in caps ?

  • its probably not the correct password, goto your start menu on your computer, open "run", now type in "cmd" into the "run" program without the quotes.A black box will appear, in the black box type "ipconfig" without the quotes, it will display ur ip settings, one of the sub headings will be "default gateway", type your default gateway into your webbrowser. the password to access this page will be user- admin pword- password. Now goto wirless settings and display ur WEP key. thats ur wifi pword!

  • with mine since my password begins with a number i have to type a number sign before entering the password. i have to do it with my mac computer too, im told its because my router was designed for PC use. hope this helps

  • i dont have wireless internet at home but i still can use wifi with my ipod touch because the internet café around the cornor does have wireless internet :D

  • i use my neighbors

  • So am I! lol

  • @largehashbrowns I did but they put security on it! :(

  • if its a good wifi sniffer, does it mean that u can see any connection or it has a strong conenction?

  • hahah u sucjk asssssss

  • is legal? like to use someone else's unsecured network? i've been doing this a lot within my neighborhood...

  • no its not but as long as they cant detect you piggybacking ur fine even if they do it will be hard to track your device since you are using someone else's wifi and not your won.

  • my school has so many hot spots ITS REDICULOUS i can get free wifi on our football field and its not even by buildings ahah

  • wen i go to setting it says no wi-fi

  • that's cuz there IS no wi-fi where u r

  • do i just go on that WiFi and it'll tell me if they're wireless internet?? and i don't have to pay then

  • I use linksys from someone in my neighbourhood XD

  • i try to use that person 2 but it doesn't work can u help me panimations

  • it just means you're not near enough to the source or you don't have a good enough connection. go around your house and write down any un-locked networks in the locations of your house. try by windows.

  • haters

  • This is not a video about what is written in your title. This is stupid. Only shows how many WiFi networks you find, fine, but nothing interesting....

One more thing, although iTouch shows too many WiFi connections, not all are always available to connect to.

  • will this wifi sniffer in school? does this support wep, wpa, n wpa2?

  • ya it can pick up all types of wifi. but there might me a password

  • ok. my school does not use security (WEP).

my psp wont tell me but they already on.

  • my school have no WEP or WPA key. i get on internet :P

  • thats sweet. my school doesnt have any wi-fi at all

  • u can bring ur wireless router or AP in ur school. but u must hide SSID n use WEP or WPA or WPA2 ok

  • where can u get it though

  • i get a thing tht ses type in password nd i type it in nd it dnt work

  • how can i hav my wifi connection in my ipod :[ nid help

  • do u have a router

  • :D

    who the fuck needs edge?

  • simply download aircrack this allows you to crack the internet connections WEP or WSK code. its not legal though.

  • lol, i always do this. It's so easy. But if only there was a way to hack the WiFi passwords.

  • is wifi free

  • yea its free

  • Well WiFi is free for the people who are feeding off of the connection. It is not free for the person who is providing the wireless network.

  • @WeekendWarrior1210 No one likes a whiner.

  • i need help 1 day i have full bars and the next day the the symbol isnt even there how do get it back?

  • i have the same problem but omly that i connot link to linksys in other areas except fot my room is there n.e possible way that i can directly use the internet(wi-fi or safari or watevea it iz)usin a modem or router?

  • is wifi free?

  • o eat me you loser

  • dude you press it way to hard you barley touch it its heat sensitive doy!

  • Is It reaaallly? =|

  • lol ok smarty pants lol

  • It also makes great usage as a packet sniffer as well. The Neighborhood Network Watch has begun operational testing with using the iPod Touch as a portable packet sniffing package.
