there is a handful of action in most of the episodes. Some of the stroy arcs do have more action. However most of the episodes revolve around comical situations

Im not a big fan of Shounens, especially ones that have a crap ton of episodes, but I reluctantly started Gintama recently due to how much praise it's gotten, and I have to say Im glad I did. Its really funny, and definitely the best Shounen anime Ive ever seen. Im definitely gonna watch this one through to the end.

You really should watch it, it's hilarious, you won't regret it! You should first get over a few eps and then decide to watch it or not. It's one of my favourite series, I was going to drop it first when I watched about five minutes of the first ep but I'm soo glad I continued.

Well the whole thing about Gintama is that it's episodic, so if you jsut know the characters you don't have to sit through every ep if you don't want to, you can just pick out the best. But I'm not forcing you to watch it, I dropped Inuyasha since it has so much eps and you have to see them all to understand the story *_*;

First off, no one can really tell you that except yourself. Watch it and see. Second off, it's mostly a comedic series, but it has its serious arcs as well that're very well done. Personally, it's one of my favorite anime series ever.
