Here's a suggestion for disturbing kids like that. This worked well in my situation. First complain to the flight attendant...then after he/she tells the parent to keep their kid quiet, they must because if they DO NOT OBEY a flight attendant, then it becomes a FEDERAL VIOLATION! So if the little shit screams again, then the parent can be charged! Believe me....it's a big motivater and it works!
@jt8fan7272 This happened to me on a MD-88. The kid was screaming and kicking the back of my seat. I wanted to hear the JT-8s on takeoff, so that's what I did and it worked! :)
I wish those who bitch about kids on the plane would stop. I was one of those kids. My eardrums ruptured and bled until we landed on the way home from holidays. If a child cries, there is a reason unlike the whiny adults here on this page running thier mouths about them. The video is top flight and very well done.
Screaming Babies and kids are exactly why Business. and sometimes First, are my friends.
It would be great if babies and unruly young children could take a drug free safe sedative prior to fight to knock em out prior to departure. I's not fair to be packed like a sardine only to add insult to injury with a nonstop screaming child inboard.
@777fsx200 Definitely clapping. It stops right when the thrust reversers are engaged, the people probably thought "OMG" and started fearing for their lives.
I'd imagine a hydraulic failure would sound different. HAHA
Does KLM use this aircraft for the AMS-SFO route anymore? They almost always send something different down here, sometimes a 747, a 777, and this MD-11, I haven't seen one in a while...
About the baby, I saw an on-board video here on YouTube of the first commercial SIA A380 flight, and there was a crying baby, just about the worst time to have a crying baby.
@XxNiMr0D7000xX I so agree! On Irish flights people always clap, and I like to aswell. I have done it so much, I would almost find it ignorant not to clap.
gotta agree with Blackdog747, i was on a klm flight to amsterdam from L.A on a jumbo and i had 32 A and the guy behind me had 33 A but his baby sat behind me and the only way i can see the spoilers during landing was to look back at his window and he closed it during landing, ugh she wouldnt stop crying .
Honest to god, I'm flying from Norway to SFO soon and I'm scared shitless of babies on the flight. I doubt I'll be lucky enough to get a flight without. :( I need earplugs probably.
ya see ive heard worse babys screeming on an plane thank god im goin away ONE DAY before the summer holidays from school. But if there is i cant stand a five and a half flight
I have a child and I wouldn't have put him or her or any of the people on this plane through that screaming. At least disobey and head to the bathroom for that shit.
Infants are way more sensitive to changing pressure on the ears when a plane is changing altitude than a grown up. Crying babies during landings is completely normal - it says a great deal how good the pilot is if he should manage to land without getting infants to cry. So can those of you who want to harm the poor kid just shut the fuck up??
Pressure change within the cabin of the aircraft is regulated by outflow valves with are controlled by 2 or more automatic pressurization channel controllers. The crew will only switch to manual control if a pressurization channel has a fault during the flight.
If a baby is gonna scream the whole time then why the fuck bring it in the first place? If I were on that flight I wouldve said something to the parents along the lines of..."shut that motherfucking thing up or I'm going to stab it in the fucking ear"...If the kid continued to cry after that I would find a pen and stab it in the ear....problem solved.
@Blackdog747 i know how you feel because its much worse than that 3 years ago coming home from London there were a sh%% load of babies and they never shut up
Some pilots manually change pressure in the cabin. In a few of my flights, there was no popping in my ears in descent. Some are automated so it all depends on the pilot's call.
That happened to me once from RDU to LGA.. I was fine until all of a sudden I had a pain splitting headache so bad I threw my head to one side it did go away after 5 min.
the descend may changes the pressure in the cabin.Changes of the pressure could make your ear really pain. And was the a chinese?I heard he said 不要(No,No)不敢(Don dare, don dare) right?
Actually, it is the fault of the kid's parents who bring infants on the plane. Infants are not conscious of the changes of air pressure and do not know how to cope with the changes. This may cause deaf.
I flew from Orange County to Atlanta several weeks ago and between the four babies on the flight one of them cried the entire flight. I understand their ears hurt but that doesn't mean I should be subjected to crying for that long. Give them some benadryl to make them sleep through the flight.
Thank God for door that protects me from people cancels out all the damn baby sounds they would distract me while landing even more than the tower does.
Well say what you want but I didn't pay alot of money to hang out in the cockpit
and FYI that door keeps the sound out I am not sure if you are a pilot but trust me there is nothing more stressful then landing a big jet and there are hundreds of people behind you depending on you to keep them safe.
Yes, I am not a pilot either but I can tell you this, you probably can't hear the people in the back first of all exspecially when the door is closed and the noise of the engines. Also I bet the pilots are really concentrated on landing. They have landing checklists to go through and talking to atc with headsets on. So Noise from the people in the back won't worry a pilot. BTW, don't lie. Really?
