@sombersolitude In aussie leasehands, or roustabouts are on 380-400+ a day i dunno about the states though, i started out 12 weeks ago, a good tip is to get saftey training like working at heights, confined spaces, and first aid. It helps cos they dont have to put you through it. There's a lot of adds on the net just gotta look.

These rigs are junk and out dated and need to be scraped. West Texas is the easiest drilling there is and those weak rigs TD at 10500. Come out to Oklahoma where we have almost 10500 in our lateral and TD is 18500 Then you can see some real action dealing with high pressure gas and blow outs. Please reconsider what you are portraying to the world that a roughneck is.

This and the show is a disgrace to everyone who is proud to be a roughneck. Not all roughnecks are about fighting and drinking and acting like a fool on the rig. Most of us do this dangerous job to support our families that we care about back home.
