  • Moscow gets the best young virtuoso pianist, violinist ?... the best teachers too !...

  • Good!!!!!

  • korean pride..whoopwhoop

  • This really shows that music has ''no age'' . ;)

  • she doesn't have a ten year old hands! can we exchange please?i am 17..huhuhu

  • look her fingers, it joyful jumps up and down the piano. In Bach's term, viviance! =]

  • WHat refreshing sound !

I don't know if she knows it but as I was cleaning up my desk listening to her I actually like her playing. Such maturity.. Her tone, timing, and accent is polished and professional.

  • holy shit! another ignorant racist pig. when will they shut this production line down.

  • Did she make a mistake at 2:11?

  • Yea...sounds like a little mistake. Amazingly nice and lyrical playing overall, though. :)

  • She sliped a note I guess... But amazingly played anyway

  • @k166a So what?

  • Comment removed

  • Nice play and interpretation. (Before I say the following: I AM NOT A RACIST, this is just my personal experience!) Especially not so mechanical and heartless like a lot of other Asian pianists.

  • Quite a mature intepretation for a 10 yr old, crisp, stylistic, and in command.

  • I'd say she's looks like she's concentrating.

  • not true... we grow till 25. Esp with music and yoga.

  • Not bad at all.

    - c.a.t.

  • esas caras de envidia jaa komo toka esta niña

  • Amazing! So young and so much talent. Your hard work will pay off in the future.

  • one of the best child virtuosos that I've heard normally they are too young and immature physically to handle these sorts of works, however she sailed through it superbly.

  • l'orchestre est trop pourri. regardez les mains de la gamine: completement anatomiquement massacrées!!!

  • God does give amazing gifs. An amazing performance and quality and perhaps the best I've heard.

  • O_O

  • Good girl, making up for Korean popular music's bastardisation of western classical music. If you think that performance was good, you guys should see her play Starcraft!

DO NOT READ YOUTUBE COMMENTS YOU WILL ONLY BE DISSAPOINTED

  • so agree with you!!!

  • Wow

  • She left me speechless! She's only 10 YO and plays so increadobly ^^

  • Very pretty.

    You play comfortable Bach.

  • Danke ich hatte heute schon Weinachten ich

  • 윤아인

I've got her name! Am I right ;-)

  • I want to hear your Bach's Toccata.

  • perfection.... a 25 year old in a 10 year old's body

  • Great performance!!!

  • Brilliant Performance!!!!!...clear and strong....perfect!!!!

  • Brilliant performance with excellent technic!

    very clear vivid sound.

  • I don't think it was a mistake with that chord. That's probably just me but it think i was supposed to be there. Anyways, she did a good job covering it up! It sounds perfect!

  • to nicolelovemusic - well it was..but who cares!

More, she skipped it going on flawlessly...

showing already a good mastering of the stage and great emotional control for a little girl.

    Brava!

  • i hope your brain was fried for a moment when u posted the comment.... what an idiot.

  • o0o0o She made a lil' mistake at 2:11 with that chord there DIDN'T SHE! :D

It's okay; I'm just making an observation. :)

  • Yeah, but who cares. Music is not just notes.

  • Flipping heck. This is absolutely amazing. I'm very impressed, although I have to say, my favourite bit about this video is at 3:18, with the guy who looks asleep. Hahahaha. How could you sleep through this!!

  • wow! no music amazing!

  • Did anyone notice that there is no sheet music in front of her?

  • usually when soloists are playing a concerto, on any instrument - violin, cello, piano etc. they have to memorize the music

  • And I thought I've seen everything in life... amazing.

  • Technically excellent. But why do almost all child prodigies sound the same? With few exceptions (such as the young Glenn Gould), the music from these children is pretty much interchangable.

  • to PointyTail - that's true overall.

But among crowds of little playing machines

we can find distinguished little soloists.

    There are some on YT.

Perhaps Bach is not suited for kids...and easily it sounds as a meaningless fall of notes. But I guess that interpretative work

starts later and till 10 - 12 years they

    mainly work on technique.

Alas several promising youngest music machines do not change their state and get

    into adult music machines.

  • Simply incredible. Bravo!

  • c'est un enchantement. Avec cette interprétation, Bach n'est pas étranger à la joie et l'humour, alors que beaucoup de pianistes se croient obligés de jouer avec des cols empesés

  • she's amazing !!

  • I wish I had her level of technical proficiency, and I'm happy for her that she'll have top-notch musical training, but I always find the music of these child prodigies to be a bit boring. Being a truly great musician -something I'd like to be but never will- requires a level of emotional and musical maturity, and a degree of musical understanding which can only come with time.

I'm not saying she's not good and I freely admit she's better than me.

I'd like to check her out again in ten years.

  • i agree!

  • you are so jealous. Get over it.

  • If you look at my comment, I admitted that yes, I am jealous. I would like to be as good as she is, and I probably won't be.

However, I personally find the music of more experienced musicians to be more interesting. I'm not as good as they are, either.

I think that with a bit more time, she could become a very good musician. However, at this stage of the game, she simply doesn't have enough experience for a more mature sound.

How am I not 'over it'?

  • Lol to you.

  • You could take even it further:

Technical vituosity is not always necessary for great music/art making.

There are many musicians who may not have extraordinary technical skill, but their HEART

transcends that - which makes them more interesting and emotionally moving than virtuosos - and isn't THIS what music and art are all about? Look at Louie Armstrong: Not a "nice" voice... VERY raspy, and often not holding a stable note... But his EXPERIENCE, WARMTH and HEART make virtuosity irrelevant!

  • TO SETIOY: may i ask u how u assume that she's trying to "imitate glenn gould"? I'd be greatly interested in knowing how to guess when a pianist is imitating someone else

  • What I meant is that she is trying to play the same way as Glenn Gould.

  • I know u mean that. That's why i asked u my question

  • so what`s the problem then?

  • and sorry for the "poor comment", it wasn`t intentionally :)

  • Great technique really! But... where`s the music. Poor little girl! Why did her tacher give her that concerto? It`s not easy at all? And she is trying to imitate Glenn Gould. Besides, she made mistakes! Oh my...

  • may i ask u how u assume that she's trying to "imitate glenn gould"? I'd be greatly interested in knowing how to guess when a pianist is imitating someone else

  • ok..i don't understand how one can imitate...when she feels the music..u feel it...and a mistake...ok sure...she's 10...try playing and remembering ALL of that...can i ask...why are u hatin??...

  • I already explained to pianofolle what I meant by saying that she imitates Glenn Gould. And when did I say that I hate?

  • I really enjoyed seeing all the bored little boys in the audience.

Christ, you'd think they'd cut that out.

  • Un autentico prodigio.

  • the poor kid looks so sad!

    lol wonderful preformance!! encore!

  • BWV #?

  • i believe it is bwv 1056 :)

  • 1056

  • Another awesome performance by yoona !

  • i like bach :)

  • This girl is amazing...

  • She's really skilled...But this is just so--bland...

  • she is good but i dont think she is able to get on the same level as glenn gould. And glenn had his tribute at a late age of 13/14... It's not the age of the child that tells you how ''good'' she really is or can become.

    (sorry for my bad english)

    I like bach very well.

  • grazie, bravissima

  • i hate seeing kids do waaaay better than em. but at the same time i think that it's freakin bad ass. Like little miss asian mozart there. Good job.

  • she is korean

  • Women: Lets begin the compotition.

Man: First in the Finals will be the pianists

Women: Next on stage coming preformer likes mostly Chapen and Bach..

    As she says herself..

She likes Chapen for its smooth and peaceful style AND Bach for its confident and powerfull style.

Man: On stage! Yun E'in (or whaterever her name is hehe :P). City Tsul (cant spell it correckt). Republick of Korea

Thats pretty much it.. Hope that helps you

    XXXX peace :) XXXX

  • They speak Russian

  • Ha! I think you might be right! How funny.

  • Yes, surely he did. :-)

  • lol :D

  • haha xD it really does look like he does xD

  • how much does she practice? :(

  • She plays and looks like another little angel.

  • Outstanding musicianship.

  • amazing...very very very...gooooooddd...

  • agree! bows to her!

  • really amazing... I love her performance very much

  • this is an idiot audience, she did a great job in a very hard concerto

  • I hope the little girl has also time for a normal teenage life, I mean that's she hasn't parents...you know...let her free in her talent.

    She is very, very good.

  • woah, at 2:40 someone in the audience was makeing faces at her? anyway she did an awesome job.

  • wow, simply amazing, she play swonderfully but I do agree that she must have been hothoused, and I'm rather against this form of education...but anyways, she did really nice. Lovely piece.

  • why does the audience look so mean? :(

  • Maybe because the 'new' russia is too... New for such music? o_O

  • I agree absolutely: What a COLD audience! Russian piano school... hmpf! Well... one sometimes find public like that (just waiting for the mistake) A mistake is NOTHING! It's meaninglees! What is REALLY important is that she did AMAZINGLY GREAT! Congratulations to her parents also!

  • because she's a woman

  • maybe someone farted in the concert hall?

  • she's really AMAZING!!!!!

  • wow i love her hair she is soooo good i need to go back im past due to go back to piano

  • i'm twelve and doing what she's doing was always my dream. she's younger than me and i'm so jealous.!!!.

  • i need to pratice.... Ú.Ù

  • I guess so do i... We all do! After seeing this young a very talented kids we all think "why am i posting on youtube? shouldnt i be studying?"

    *

  • Simply amazing,

I congratulate her parents in being able to exploit their child's gift.

    WOW

  • It's the talent that God gave

  • she must be practicing even before she was born, just kidding, music talent is one of those things you either have it or don't.

  • I cannot imagine playing this well at 10...let alone older....!! Amazing child. cp

  • golly! she's amazing! bach is really difficult to play. mistakes are extremely hard to hide if not impossible. & she played this piece so well.love this kid!

  • this one of my personal favorite peices to play. she did an amazing job.

  • One not only wonders from whence the musical ability derives, but also the strength and endurance, at the tender age of 10. I mean, how much could she have really practiced in her short life? Very little, I would guess, in real time. Maybe I'm not supposed to play the piano after all.

  • superb interpretation

  • Very good, nice clean and crisp performance though she makes a few mistakes.

  • Wow!

  • Which bwv is it?

    Really impressive!

    *

  • The piece is BWV 1056

  • Thank you :)

  • 또 한명의 천재피아니스트의 등장이군요!

    꼭 성공하길 먼곳에서나 바라겠습니다,

  • AMAZING !!

  • Bach wrote for harpsichord & ensemble, so grand piano & orchestra together are louder, a major alteration. Problem is recording quality and mic positions. Pianist is master level, a little nervous & far from home, age 10.5 years : 10/5 stars.

  • I think you're supposed to appreciate that the girl is 10 years old, and what she can do for this age is almost beyond belief. There's no need to air your jealousy so publically. Many have commented it wasn't perfect but impressive--yes! If her performance wasn't perfect she has a long time to improve it, wouldn't you say?

  • agh. i cant deny that she is an incredibly talented player, but videos like this make me want to practice, give up and kill myslef all at the same time. its nice to listen to tho, heh heh. gawd why cant european people be gifted....damn our genes.

  • "but videos like this make me want to practice, give up and kill myslef all at the same time. "

    So true!! xD

  • You realise it's Europeans who composed these songs in the first place? Also I don't think it's coincidence that high numbers of Asian children are able to play at this level at young ages. Humans learn faster when they are young it's to do with brain synapse development. Its why a 2 year old can learn a language while an adult will struggle. If you put any "European" child through the same kind of "hot house" tutolage that these children have obviously been through you will see similar results.

  • HOLLY SHIT!

  • I'm pretty sure her parents don't live with her.

She studies in Russia, and her family is from Korea. And just because shes good, doesn't mean she has to be beat. If you think thats how people become artists, your sadly and horribly mistaken.

  • I know her parents. and they are very gentle and generous people.

    so just shut up.

  • New generations of orientals are the best classical players of the world.

  • you are great!!!!Wellcome my video!!

  • sta stronza suona perfetto!!!

  • No matter what that complete loser says, shes an amazing artist. Soon to be one of the best pianists of our time

  • Yes. It is called thus.

  • total genius.

  • This is the BWV 1056 concerto, is case anyone is interested in the precise details. She plays also the third movement of the Chopin Second Concerto really well on another YouTube video.

  • Bravissima!
