There's been far better players in the premier league than Henry. Roy Keane for example. England might have struggled in the late 70s and early 80s. At the start of the 70s we were one of the best teams in the world and in the mid to late 80s we again were one of the best teams in the world. So your talking rubbish there. That list you gave neglects the results of every match England played and only shows tournament progression....hardly an accurate representation. Compare those English players to other Nationalitys who play in diffrent leagues it is a massive diffrence. English players are techinically poor against Italy, France and so on. That list i showed above is England record from 70-94 that is an appaluing record for a country you say was one of the best in Early 70s and 80's.
