Her two events at Athens are amongst my favourite sporting moments ever. Pure heart and effort from a girl who had loads of setbacks during her career. And it all came together in two perfect races. Not particularly slow considering the previous two 1500m olympic finals were won in times slower than 4 minutes. This was the quickest olympic 1500m final since Barcelona in 1992.

Not particularly slow considering the previous two 1500m olympic finals were won in times slower than 4 minutes. This was the quickest olympic 1500m final since Barcelona in 1992.

And this was 2004 not 1992 - why compare races that are 8 years apart??
