@CharlieDoan I've only ever found 5 and 10 round mags for this gun so I don't think anyone makes bigger than that. As for bending the feed lips, you can tweak them reasonably back into shape with needlenose pliers. If that doesn't work, you can buy a new 10 rounder from pretty well any gun shop for about $15-$20.
defintly gonna check into this i hope my walmart carrys em i was told in another vid they are 130-140$ at walmart were did you get yours and what did you pay? great review
hey i havea ? i have the same gun and was wondering if your stock that goes down toward the end of the barrek where the strap hole is, is ur stok loose in that area?
I recently bought the same rifle and it did not come with a rail mount as well, where did you get yours from? great review btw, love shooting this gun. cant wait to get a scope on it.
Pretty nifty idea, but still. Ok so you won't cause damage using an o-ring I got that part. But heres another point, if I may? I'ts not a bad idea to excerise that rule about dryfiring, sure theres centerfires you can dry fire all day but inthe long run you are damaging something in the gun. Plus randomly dryfiring without a serious reason can start becoming a habit to where you don't even think about it you just do it. And it's not good if your doing it to a gun that can't take it. Get my point
@TheArly93 i bought my bipod at amazon, its a utg 9.5" id recomend 12" or higher for long rand shooting, it provides a sturdier base and a more comfertable height for your neck
@Russcomm actually you are right, but you cant just shove the mag straight up because of the lack of a magwell guide, so i suggest that you rock and slide it in to position
No problem I just got done grinding out the bur on my marlin60. After 22years of service I figured it was time to take it apart and clean and debur. Fires every time with no jams. I had a single shot with the same problem and taking out that bur fixed it like brand new.
Dude you should not dryfire a rimfire cause the firing pin hits the barrel and it builds up a bur and the shells become difficult to load and eject. Just a tip. Nice looking rifle though.
@TexHun92 You can dry fire all you like by using a cut o-ring as a bolt hammer cushion for the Mk II's. The heavy o-ring is 3/4" outside and 7/16". Cut it and tie a string on it. When dry fired, the design of the Mk II firing pin prevents damage to the chamber rim. With the o-ring in place, the firing pin force is reduced to the point where you cannot see a mark of any kind on an empty casing. It can also act as an additional safety. My rifle can't fire a live round with the o-ring in place.
@Montyfiable actually to my suprise i did hit a human sized steel target, but it was like 3 out of 10 shots. and there was so much drop it was rediculous it was almost at the bottom of my scope sight
@mortarlover123 Oh, okay, that makes sense. For a second there I thought you where one of those internet guys that think they can hit the nuts off a spider at 2 miles. I have the same gun with a 1 inch barrel, and soon hopefully a boyds tacticool stock.
Did you have any problems with your mag? The one I have keeps feeding too low, especially on the last few rounds. Instead of entering the chamber, the bullet gets stuck against the metal below it.
I think I can just about name everything u hav on ur gun.... The sling is Winchester the bipod is winchesters and the scope is a BSA sweet 22 scope...not sure bout scope but I know I got sling and bipod right plz tell me if I got it right lol the reason Ik is cuz if u look at my videos we hav the same gun but I hav not put a video of my scope yet
its actually a centerpoint illuminated, 3-9 scope, with an ATI bipod i believe. it is a winchester sling, but yes it all looks pretty similar in the end
@mortarlover123 Thanks for the info, it' helps. Ok I guessing that all (gun, scope, mounts/base, sling) was purchased at walmart? Thats cool as I purchased my gun there too. So to my question; the mounts/bases you got were the bases sold @ walmart for a ruger 10/22 (weaver)? if so, did you do any alterations to make make the base fit flush on the receiver?
@monsterchow i actually used the 10/22 weaver mounts yes. but you have to drill out another hole in the base mount in the front one, the holes do not line up , but if you drill the hole centered perfectly it should work
@fabandjulsCODgaming I Dont Remember But My Theory Worked :D When I Suggested That It Had only Like 6 Or 7 Hundred Views... Now It Has More Than 11,000... But Yeah, To Answer The Question, I Dont Know IT Was More That 7 Months Ago...
yo i have this same gun and i was wondering, is this still just as good as the up to date savage mark II F? even though this gun doesnt have the accutrigger? i got the same gun at walmart on a huge clearance sale for like 137 usually about 180....thanks for the video!
@luxfair i agree with the dry fire, but then again its not a presicion hunting rifle its just a plinker, and i would say throwing it i let it roll on to the table, last time i checked its pretty hard to get a rim fire round to fire by dropping it
I agree, the Savage FV is not a precision hunting rifle but it's one of the most accurate bolt action .22-s out there. The best part is that it's "plinker" priced.
IMO, safe firearm and ammunition handling is a must in all circumstances but you have to be extra careful when making online reviews. There are way too many anti-gun activists out there and they will magnify and distort any small mistakes you make. Just think it through, talk and act like a pro next time. :-)
@luxfair your right anti gun activist would love to see this video, but to be honest i do not beleive guns will ever be banned, way to many firearm lovers and owners out there.
@luxfair I own the mark 2 f,the one in the video and the mark 2 fv heavy barrel and shoot 1 inch groups at 150 yards. The fv is a damn good shooter and at 100 yards I'd be willing to put it up against a larger caliber rifle in a heartbeat!
Do they make high capacity 25-30 rounds for this rifle?? almost like an AK??? what look like AK?? magazines??
And 1 more thing to remind you ,,KEEP dropping magazine like that, nothing will last long and if u bent the lips then Adio bye bye magazines

i have a burr on the inside of my rifle i just put an empty shell casing in and pull the trigger. that's why i don't like rimfire all that much.

The velocity depends on the bullet, average is around 1200 fps
joeyisamartian 1 month ago
Bruce it's about 140$ for the basic non accutrigger. I shot at least 500 rounds of bulk ammo and it's NEVER jammed. It's amazing.

1:07 Almost like an AK?
only in the shape of the magazine.
This magazine just goes straight up into the rifle, where an AK mag has to be started forward and then rocked backwards into place.
Outside of that, great review.
