  • @xzgb8x excuse me for interfering but what does the Galabia , or Hijab got to do with marching forward or backward ?? and what exactly does the Galabia and Hijab got to do with eachother , Galabia is a form of culture while Hijab is a form of religion !! i am a muslim wearing hijab woman myself and i think this is pure racism , i go out , i work and this is all for my country egypt , next time i feel tired of my Hijab i will complain to you , thanks very much

  • @2010sasso R you really sure that higab is not a form of culture of shebh el gezira el 3arabeya w el khalig el 3arabi that was imported to Egypt with other saudi cultures by Egyptians who went and worked there during the seventies and eighties and were just trying to fit in both society(when you r in a new society u try to fit by trying to look alike as the ppl in this new place)so what about egyptian women in the thirties, forties, fifties etc.?w all due respect to all religions.

  • @elleelle111 I am sure !! Egypt has been an islamic country since the 7th century not the seventies or the eighties !! women in the 30's , 40's and 50's did wear hijab .. but if you mean actresses !! up till now most if not all egyptian actresses are non-wearing hijab actresses !! but if you take a look at the majority of normal egyptian women , they mostly wear hijab !! as i said it's a form of religion not culture :)

  • @2010sasso where did most women wear hijab?in Egypt?that is totally untrue &false.there was not a single muslim woman in z circle of my mom's or grandma's group or work colleagues.not a single one who wore z veil in 1940-70.and they were very good muslims, very good human beings.darling I have photos of some Azhar sheyouk & their wives nt wearing the veil in z early time&who said anything ab egy being an islamic country or not.R u saying that wearing z veil is z only thing that indicates Islam?

  • @elleelle111 i don't think your mum , grandmum or work colleagues represent all Egyptian women do they ? my mother's side too didn't wear hijab until they got married but on my father's side all women wore hijab starting 15 years old !! and both sides are good human beings !!and I think YOU are the one who was indicating that when you said (quote ) " what happened to the egyptians.. why arr they marching backward.. Galabia, hijab, --ect. Is this how Egypt will progress.. "

  • @2010sasso i dn't understand what u r saying ab the relation between galabeya and egypt's progression .I certainly am not talking about progression .i m talking ab the veil being more of a cultural thing and my point is most of Muslim women didn't wear higab in Egypt 1940-50-60-70

  • @elleelle111 2)so please don't make it seem as if it's me who is refering to the veil as a form of reaction and backwardness or the only indication to islam! I have nothing but respect to my religion and if women didn't wear hijab when they are supposed to( having grown up and all)that's their fault and they are not really following islam's obligation..

  • @elleelle111 3)i am not judging them, afterall it's sth between them and allah not me!!but what i critcize is your lack of respect towards Hijab calling those who wear it marching backwards !!i mean , have you seen what muslims in the Umayyad and Abbasid wore !! yet they were considered pioneers in all fields , that men who you are now fond of what they wear ( Europeans ) imitate them and translate their work !!

  • @2010sasso i didn't say that wearing higab was marching backwards i said it was marching to a different geographical area..ppl i el gezira el arabeya wear veil for whatever reason.muslims in egypt didn't wear hijab before.sorry that 's a historical fact.it is an imported tradition.plus in my opinion how religious you are has nothing to do with how progressed you are BUT if all what you think about is who is wearing what and applying some shari3a and forgetting ab z country IT WONT progress

  • @elleelle111 i am sorry i thought you were xzgb8x i didn't notice that you are a different person the whole time , my bad =) but i really am not sure about that fact .. what i know is that in highclass districts in egypt women didn't wear hijab but in poor districts women did wear it .. and seeing as most egyptian lived at poor districts i concluded that mostly women wore hijab at the time !! i will need to check that one .. but i was debating the whole progression subject with xzgb8x

  • @2010sasso not in poor districts in Egypt but the people who worked as paesant farmers women wore certain dress (galabeya falahi )and a head cover christians and muslims would wear that .. they used to work in agriculture and workingin the landso they needed to cover their head.has nothing to do with religion..may be a little with the class but not much..in the early 20th century women of Egypt didn't wear the veil for religious reasons and it didn't affect their morals ..
