Ahh! Sexy bike. The sound of that exhaust makes me melt. The reflective wheel stripes are pretty sick. I had an '09 Black 650 with an arrow exhaust, sporty mirrors, and i did lower the bars as well.. makes the ride much better.. raced my boyfriend couple of time on his gsxr 750, even though he would give me a big ol' headstart there was no way i could keep up.. hahaha.. word of advice don't sell your bike unless you're getting another one within the month - its hell without one. hahaha.

i got the exact same bike but it has standard exhaust, so can u tell me wat exact exhaust that is and how much coz its sounds fn mad as, and i want it bad, i have yellow wheel strips to but arnt reflective and how is the sports bar better then standard?

Awesome bike! I noticed you were thinking about 250, glad you skipped it. The 250 is very good in tiny, twisty mountain roads, but don't have juice for straits or freeways. Mine is 09 red 650, i put Arrow too. I ride in groups with many other bikers, all kind of sport bikes. In the mountains I pass in regular bases 600 and some 1000cc bikes, it comes to rider's skill, not bike power. And I got a ticket at 85mph on 55 limit... what if I had Hayabusa? Most guys with 1000cc never go to track anyway

Sick. I just got mine. Burnt orange also. I'm a shorty so I got it lowered, put an integrated tail light/blinker, sliders, got rid of the tail piece and soon will be getting an exhaust and sport bars. Love it! You did a great job. & yes I'm a chick. :p

I used to ride a 06 Gsxr 600, thinkin bout this as a next bike for a couple years. How does the 650r compare to a supersport 600cc bike? Is the acceleration and top speed a big difference? I'm prolly gonna finance my next bike, so I worry about insurance for a 600cc zx6r, gsxr ,etc being I'm 20, but prolly be 21 when I get the bike in spring

I got the 250r and I am happy with my bike too , If I was given the choice now after 4 months of owning my 250r I would probably get a 650r , don't take me wrong , I love my 250 , but sometimes , very rare times like when you are on an interestate ,or have a passenger on the back and doing about 80 that you wish you had a slightly faster bike , also the 250r is small so sometimes is hard for a larger guy to see around the mirrors , I sat on a 650 r and I felt right at home , 250r is nice too ..

@Jcrosse2 $7200 out the door (thats including all taxes, fees, registration, and plates). I bought it in NY in the middle of May, so it was beginning of the riding season. If u wait until like Oct-Nov (where most of the riding season ends) u can probably get it cheaper.

I got a 650R for my first bike too. Damaged it already because I dropped it twice after stalling and losing balance, and I fell because I didn't make a turn right. I should've practiced before bringing it on the streets. It really is a nice bike.
