@Messenger33 I was. Well, actually I taped it and watched it when I got up. When I saw that there was an attack on the towers I then turned on live coverage and watched the towers fall. I will never forget it.
Fair enough. I just thought it was strange... the worst attack the nation has ever faced was already underway and they were talking about something of little to no relevance.
We had a truck colide with a train a couple of years ago and around 7 people or so died, our state leader had to hold back his tears and cried in one of his initial statements. It was a while ago, so I can't remember all the details exactly but it made me feel like crying with him and most other people would probably feel the same way when they would see him on tv. Bush looks like he is holding back from cracking up with laughter. 911 Inside Job! PS when was that investigation carried out...?!
@whereisjustice1 Quit spreading nonsense. By the way, 7 people died after a truck collided with a train? Were those 7 deceased people occupants in the truck? If so, why did they over load it!? Was it their fault for getting in the wreck? Did they disobey traffic laws? This is completely different and you're only helping to spread ignorance. Stop it!
@peacemaker083 I think you missed my point. Bush does not look sad at all, I referred to the crash and the crying premier as an example of true emotion and not nearly as many people died. Try watching Bush without volume, and then tell me if you can see sadness or fear in his face. I'm entitled to my opinion, just as you are to yours. Peace.
Did anyone else peep the papers being slid to the host @ 6:05 when the dude got got on the air & started blaming the government. Yeah he cut that shit off real quick. You have the watch the body language of these ppl on the air they look shook & their eyes wander away from the teleprompter
I like how idiot Bush calmy said that he had to back to washington so he didn't make a mountain out of a mole hole before he got the facts. I had awaken that day and turned on my TV to live coverage of this event and seen the 2nd plane slam into tower 2 live on the air
@shlyanth Haven't watched C-Span's "Washington Journal" in a while, and I did not see it that particular morning. I watched CNN's coverage that whole day instead, so I'm glad you uploaded this episode.
A few minutes after the planes crashed into the twin towers he is saying it is a terrorist attack !!!! WTF. How can that be so without any investigation what so ever...Bushes speech is so phrased that it just confirms this was inside job......
Many news outlets guessed this to be a terrorist attack. When one large plane crashes into a large building, it could be a bad accident or a local catastrophe. But, when one plane brings down one tower and 10+ minutes later another large plane brings down the other tower. DUH. That would definitely be a terrorist attack.
Thankfully it didn't happen. But if the terrorists on flight 93 got their way, you would of seen a plane crash into the building right behind the newscaster. How would he of dealt with that!?
Probably nothing, considering how long it took from his first mention of "a fire at the pentagon" until these nitwits managed to turn the camera a foot to the right so we could get a (brief) look. Afuckin'Mazing. for
mew0799: One of the last things Clinton did was warn Bush that Bin Laden and Alqueda would have to be dealt with. Not today not tomorrow but NOW. And as far as i know they ignored him.
Similar to Katrina Bush and others were warned it was very possibly coming and nothing was done.
As far as i'm concerned the security measures now in place should have been put in after the bombing in 93.
And till this day Osama Bin laden has not been charged for 9/11...the FBI has no "hard evidence" he had anything to do with it....umm where is the overwheming evidence that the Bush adminstration was talking about??
@emilyek1 and the fact that its scripted out, when did he pen the paper, as well as the secret service just allowing him to stay in a spot that was publicly known. Its a staged event the people behind him are acting like they dont even know whats going on and if the tv was on like he said would probably have been a little more reactive and pained faced. IMHO
@peacemaker083 your foolish. do you think some kids feeling matter when the life of the CIC is threatened. your obviously clueless to the real world. kid s feelings hahahhahah
@dallasgoldbug I'm not clueless to the 'real world'. I'm very 'illumined' ha..ha. Yes, their feelings & the atmosphere of the room matter. You have to behave as a leader. Not some panicked woman.
Bush shouldn't be blamed for everything because after 9/11/01 everyone wanted to blow the shit out of whoever performed the attack it was a nation wide nationalist feeling he was acting on behalf on the US and the peoples feelings
wow, not to take anything away from this but it dawned on me this was the beginning of the downfall of this country. It's weird to put myself back during this time and not realize the mess that happened after this day, this was the start of the whole fight terrorist well fight anyone who opposes what we say that includes the people of America. Thanks again George W. Bush you made this country the greatest in the world, you have helped out Americans A LOT!!! (sarcasm)
It can be argued that Bush went to far in his response to 9/11, but in doing so, you can never know what the results would have been if a President had not gone far enough. There is one thing that we can know for sure, and that is; if instead of flying planes into buildings, the terrorists had the ability to detonate a nuclear bomb off in the center of Manhattan, that is what they would have done. Anyone who takes the threat of radical Islam lightly, is risking the future of their country.
I totally agree with you but I can't help but think then why are we in Iraq? If were fight Al Queda there then we might as well fight them in Afghanistan, Iran, the UK, and the US. We do need to fight the people who want to destroy humanity but what's going on now is not living up to that, now were trying to fix a broken country that some who support it now didn't support it over 10 years ago... DICK Cheney...
All I know is that we did invade Iraq, and now it is our responsibility to make it all turn out as good as possible. I am quite sure that the Iraqis will not want us out until they are confident that they can handle their own security. If all turns out well, then Iraq will be an example to the people of the other Middle Eastern countries that they to can have a democratic country like Iraq. Of course I am hoping that the average Middle Easterner does not want to destroy our country.
Its our responsibility. You know I might get crap for this but with Hussein in power, the country in a sense was together... not free... but together. The world is better off without him but the plan was really screwed up and in trying to fix a broken divided country were dividing our country up, people are against each other by political party, you can see the harsh comments as an example on youtube.
There is nothing wrong with muslims...(althouth i am not muslim)you had never thouth that bush did this to make it muslims fault and then, that bastered ossama bin ladin made the treats videos to scard people think about it bush did this!!!
I was thinking the same thing. I was also wondering what he was thinking with so much going on and so fast. You can tell that he was trying to maintain composure, but I know that he was really frightened like the rest of us were that day. When the man rushed in with the paper, I knew what it was. "...And The World Trade Center has collapsed..." I wonder what was going through his mind at that moment. First the Pentagon out his window, then this. It must've seemed like the world was crashing down
@jbranstetter04 They were brave, but the flight was shot down. The government knew these flights had been hijacked. They could have shot them down, saving plenty of more lives.
Yes he did, I noticed that the first time I watched it. I guess he didn't want to lower his head. Maybe he was thinking; "oh crap now we have to bow our heads in a moment of silence, I didn't even want to be here let alone stand up here with this guy". Or maybe he just had something in his eye, who are we to judge? Someone should find him and ask him.
I hate government I hate !!! Them with a vengeance they did this I will never forgive them

I hope there's another 9/11 sometime soon.
