  • I just ordered mine. I have a Rager. Na mean?

  • You need to be more gentle on the throttle, instead of tapping the throttle, ease it it's better for the engine.

  • Mine arrives tomorrow! This video got me pumped. It will be my first Losi, but I've heard only good things about them. I'm looking to get higher-end (1k+) for a buggy and am evaluating Losi and Tean Associated

  • @GeddyRules2112 Both are good cars of similar quality. In my opinion it comes down to your driving style. I feel Associated has a little more responsive steering, and the Losi is a little more forgiving, and I think it has a little better in air attitude. I prefer Losi for the simple reason that I started with a Team Losi XXT back in '96.

  • @bPcrazydave What wheels/tires are you running in this video?

  • Is this a good entry to nitro car (im not new to rc at all just nitro)? How fast does it go?

  • @hondafan25 get the losi 810 its really good

  • Losi 810 lo mejor!

  • Very nice buggy when it works. After 1 gallon of nitro ive had to replace 2 clutches, 3 spur gears , both clutch bell bearings, one pullstart and the throttle servo.

  • @XpensiveHobbies Don't you ever wonder why you're the only one having these problems? The car in the video is on its second owner, and still going strong. The only problem it had was with the carb, and that was because it took a hard hit from another car. I know couple guys who have been beating the crap out of their TenTs with no such problems. From your parts list, seems pretty obvious to me you are not setting the gear mesh properly.

  • sweet buggy for the money, I got mine a month ago and I'm loving the hell out of it, I never had serious high end buggys, always had ofnas. I have to say Losi is a totally different brand, the engine on the 810 is such a fine little engine, powerful, reliable and forgiving, the buggy is fast, smooth, easy to drive and very solid. I took it out today again and I just couldn't believe how nice it handles, even the sound is nice.

  • ur buggy looks bad ass with the new wheels

  • LOSI 810 LO MEJOR.......

  • @maofervi Que?

  • The 810 is perfectly legal for club racing as far as a big race ROAR or IFMAR! One why would you want to take to a big race to make a clown out of yourself? But if you wanted to just to make a point sure put a nice motor in it and go through the car and set it's dimensions to fit the inspection box and weight and properly setup the car you could get by i guess specially if it were a grooved smooth stuck track but for club racing just tune the diffs shock springs, oil and run the correct tires!!

  • @ bPcrazydave would you think this would be a good racin buggy for a starter

  • @ghostrecon473 I don't think it is race legal, check with your local track about rules, but I'm sure they'd work you in somewhere. For learning to drive on a track it is excellent.

  • @bPcrazydave ok thankyou

  • @bPcrazydave It can be ROAR/IFMAR legal with a little added weight and a big block. Everything else meets spec.

  • @bPcrazydave dude this buggy is race legal he doesn't know wat hes talking about

  • @sjiyuey I'm not sure why this is even a subject for debate. Whether if it's ROAR legal or not out of the box, most tracks want your money and are going to let you race in some class regardless of what you're running. If you're a serious hardcore racer, who wants to be competitive in sanctioned events, then you're going to want something that you can drop a race level .21 into without having to hack it up to do so. The bottom line is, if you want to race seriously, then get a different car.

  • @ghostrecon473 You said this three weeks ago i know. but hell yeah. Buggys are a little harder to drive compared to a short couse truck, but this buggy is awsome as hell, cheap, durable, and overall a bashers dream

  • Could you put the engine from the 8ight in this buggy?

  • @artvark956 I'm pretty sure the 810 uses small block mounts, so a big block would not be a direct drop in, but anything is possible with a little ingenuity, and hacking... and duct tape.

  • How many forward gears does this have? and how fast do u think this will go? Because I'll be getting one! :)

  • @BexonBoy123 It is single speed, just like any 1/8th buggy. I would estimate the speed to be about 40 mph.

  • @bPcrazydave No its not 40 because it is a bigger engine than the TRX 3.3 and the revo 3.3 ( i own 3 ) goes 45 and its about twice as heavy as the 810 so i estimate about 48-50mph. Just trying to point that out but you will not get that speed on a track. On a track with a large enough run way then yes about 40mph at least. :) Looks like you have a great buggy there dude. Subbed ;)

  • @TreadRCRacing Not my car but I appreciate the compliments. 40mph was just a round-a-bout conservative estimate, but you are correct, in a wide open environment it could reach a higher top speed than what I estimated. We have radar gunned numerous cars on this track, and the 810 runs right in the range of the 40mph cars. I consider top speed to be irrelevant, a properly geared car will actually seem faster on the track, though it may not have as high of a top speed..

  • How similar are the cars in power? is there a large difference in power between the eight and the 810 or are they close?

  • @RCbuilder888 I've never driven the 2.0 with the stock engine, the engine I have is a screamer, a comparison would be apples and oranges. The 810 is a lighter car than a standard 1/8 scale buggy, so the power to weight ratio is excellent, and it has no problem hanging in with the other cars. You won't be disappointed with the speed and acceleration.

  • @bPcrazydave thanks man that really helps. im buying one soon so im just trying to see what everyone thinks of them. but thanks that really helps

  • By the way the buggy was Running good until the i broke the pull starter or could it have been the WD-40

  • @Mikevon2001 I've never had a problem using WD40 as an after run oil. Sounds like a tuning issue to me. Not sure what you mean by the idle being set at 1/8 inch, but if you are talking about the gap in the carb, it should never be set more than 1mm. Colder weather will change your tuning. Plenty of info on engine tuning on the intrawebs, I'd recommend some research.

  • I just broke the pull start on the 810 i just replaced it I used some WD40 as a after burn old until the new pull starter came in, so i installed it and went out to day to run it and it would not stay running, so i replace the Glow and it start after a hold lot of pulls but still can keep it running long even to put the body back on. the idle its at a 1/8th of a inch plus the buggy pulls now so i now Or could it be that its still alittle cold out here pleaz Help

  • i want this too, how to you like it? i should be getting one sooon

  • Do he have a hard time keeping up with the other 1/8 scale buggies like the 2.0 or the 8ight

  • @Mikevon2001 Regarding the speed, it is fast, he can hang in there with the fastest of us.Concerning the handling, I handed him the controller to my 2.0, and he felt the heavier car was more planted and carried more speed through the corners, and was little more stable, but overall very similar.

@RCbuilder888 How do I like it? I'm jealous, I want one, but I have my 8ight 2.0, so I'm kind of over it.

  • i want 2 get a losi 810 so bad

  • I love my 810 just ran it outside cant wait to take it to the track

  • i want this car soooooo bad

  • Dave great job on the video.
