I have 6 sheep. Got two for 200.00 I like your sheep Ceaser. My boy is called Rodeo. I had 15 sheep this summer, kids ride em in the rodeo "mutton bustin". Sheared 3 ..this spring took over an hour for each one.

@shepherdewan , we have not sheared him yet. We have a couple who shears our alpacas and they will also shear him for us. He is a rather clever boy. He has figured out how to get out of the pasture when he wants to by turning almost sideways and wiggling under the fence. He does seem a little confused by the goats, though. He does his very best to woo the nannies.

Considering that he was bound for slaughter to be eaten (in a big roomy transport) or endure an hour or so in a close quartered van to our farm where he could live out his life with his harem of ladies, he would have probably chosen our van as an alternative. But I agree. It would be nice if we had a trailer. We are hoping to buy one soon. But not much will make them happy being transported. They do not like to be in motor vehicles, no matter how roomy they are. MTFBWY

@Starwars4J , I thought about this issue a lot after this comment, and then realized that the foremost animal whisperer of our generation Temple Grandin mentions how livestock find it soothing to be tightly pressed in on the sides when traveling or having procedures done. She is autistic and even built an apparatus to press herself. I think that is why he did not seem upset,

@tabs24x7Official Didn't mean to make it seem harsh, I just know if I was that poor guy I'd hate it. But hey, like you said he has a better life ahead of him with you than on the slaughter block, so I probably wouldn't mind either, if I knew the circumstances (which he didn't). If you say pressing their sides helps sooth them though, then I'm sure it was as peaceful a transport for him as it could be, and by now he's probably forgotten all about it anyway. Hope you're enjoying your new sheep!

(I am also Jedi).He is fine, very fat and healthy, and he got even with me for transporting him this way. When I was feeding the goats he charged at me, knocked me to the ground, and ate all the grain. :D He is a happy fellow, a bit full of himself, and looking forward eagerly to the arrival of his harem of ladies. In general, our animals are VERY happy, MTFBWY, Tabs's mom
