Nice to see how the legion has become truly 'foreign' and cosmopolitan. When I served in the 2eme REP in Algeria the mix was about 60% German, then 10% each of Italian, Spanish and Hungarian, with the last 10% made up of mostly other European nationals.

Do you have any actual figures? I believe that the US army has approx a 2% casualty rate of all the people serving in Iraq, which honestly isn't too bad.
