The scene shown from the goldiggers was replicated by Roberto Benigni in 'Life is Beautiful' when his character literally 'steals' his future wife from under the nose of her fiance at a celebratory ball. I'm sure that Sally Potter didn't mind being plagiarised so blatantly.
