For the people saying "omg they're so dumb, why would people go so close to a tornado?! I don't understand." It's because they enjoy the thrill. The rush that they get is undescribable. Have you ever seen those x sports or extreme sports videos? Where people board/ski down 90+ mph and surf these HUGE ASS WAVES? They all LOVE doing what they do. I mean sure, it's dangerous, but that'a all part of the thrill thay they get. Just because you wouldn't do something doesn't mean anybody else would.

Wow the last tornado is beast, all of them are. Also, 0:44 looks like a dust devil. It is clear daylight in the backround and it has a weird shape to it. And who could be about 50 yards away from a tornado?

An extreme meteorologist might want to get that close because that is these guys profession. They also get inside them as well. Just watch the Aurora Nebraska footage these same guys have.

@MegaGoofygoobers The one you said looks like a dustdevil is the exact same tornado that you see pop up right after it. It appears close because they zoomed the camcorder in on it. Plus tornadoes form by the back edge of supercell storms which is the reason it looks like fair weather in some cases. Some tornadoes have a white look to them because the sun directly hits them. I chase storms also, and I usually see some sunlight when I'm filming tornadoes.

That's the same tornado you see the car backing up from in this video. It's just the camera is zoomed in on the bottom of the tornado which makes it look like a high powered dust devil. It's the tornado that Reed Timmer and his partner had a close call with in Ellis County Oklahoma. I believe this tornado ended up being rated as an F-3.
