Cos Danko takes orders directly from the President of the USA....So Sylar is acting like the President and telling Danko what to do.

First off, if you ever saw the "5 Years Gone" Episode. Sylar was President, sure, under the allusion of being Nathan. Still, he was president.

Now, lining up with "5 Years Gone". For example, Nathan turning against his own kind. If you watch that episode it all sort of lines up.

So now, after Sylar met his Father. I think he took away the need to no longer go for little power. Like sure Sylar can get abilities, but what he truly wants is power. Can't get more powerful then President.

It doesn't have to be exactly the same, but Heroes being considered terrorists, Sylar with absolute power, etc.

Sure, Niki is dead. Ando didn't have a power. You could nitpick that stuff all you want. But in the end, it's generally leading towards that future.

Plus, who says another bomb doesn't create that future?
