  • I'm a generation behind this, but there is no doubting this is top of the line. JC plays the harmonica like a boss !!!!!!

  • I never seen Johnny Cash play the harmonica before. You learn something every day.

  • @benjibobable I used to play the Harmonica, then I took Dubstep to the knee.

  • @Timmah6991 sucks

  • Got that right PiShoN79! Who else can play two harmonica's like that?!?!?! I don't know anyone who can...spec. Orange Blossum special That is hard to do and while also singing it!

  • I was a new gen. 16-17yr in early 70's & I got it! doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out! 24,000 student univ. fresh livin. in cell block 21 dorm rm & liberal U. pop art yackty yack posters 24/7, peace marches..u name it. I liked 70 music.. Only two B --s complained. l.dumbass skank from NY never been out of her backyard wanted his poster down?! Like Hell B---! the other pounding on the door lower the vol...hell I turned it up higher! 0 complaints AFTER THAT!

  • 10 people don't know good music! Cash was the greatest of the great musicians. Try playing two harmonicas like that...

  • Cash OWNS that Harmonica!!

  • Always cracks me up to see how the demographic of the US prison population has changed over the years...

  • Cash was the Baddest of the Bad! That harmonica playing is AWESOME! Thanks for posting this. It's Great!

  • Podívejte se na Greenhorns youtube Ti to dotáhli do konce, kde to zní a hraje.

  • I LOVE WHEN JOHNNY SINGS LIKE A TRAIN YEE HAAAA

  • My daddys favorite song by Johnny Cash, would hear it and more every night at dinner growing up. A true music giant, thaqt will never ever be forgotten

  • 8 years today

    February 26, 1932 – September 12, 2003

  • Isn't that "do die" bit supposed to be about masturbation or something?

  • i just saw god

  • First time i saw that movie and heard that song, the only thing that came in my mind was "jesus christ...that harmonica makes him look like a sexy beast!" *-*

  • Modern country is all about Nashville, money and glamour. People like Johnny wouldn't have a chance or they would have to make music about irrelevant subjects... the kind of 'I miss you / I love you'.... Country music needs another Johnny Cash, not these 'no balls havin' dipsticks from Nashville.

  • @666Alester You said it...country music today is crap in my opinion...

  • @dabrilloman actually, to be PC......99.99% of what comes out of Nashville today is crap!

  • @dabrilloman Agreed, but then You find artists like Hank III or Lucky Tubbs to show You real Country isnt dead.....

  • @666Alester May i reccomend you to Hank Williams The 3rd AKA Hank 3, he is traditional but also his message is modern and relevant, And has a rockabilliy and classic sound,

  • God is going to cut down 9 people

  • lets see any of these new age losers perform live like johnny did!!

  • 9 people have lost their ticket to orange blossom special

  • I'ts wonderful to see how many young people today love yhe likes of Cash and the Beatles

  • 9 muslims voted this down

  • Smokin'

  • What a MAN!

    Nobody does it better!

  • bloke's a genius, just try this myself (Only got a G & D but its relative to the C & F he's using) not easy at all, my lips are sore and its hard to change that quick, the slidy bits are easy enough to switch but the bit after where he switchs for one note on the F - fucking hardcore to get right

  • Comment removed

  • I would really like to know who the 9 people who dislike this stuff....idiots!!!!!

  • @bruinsmaniac

Those are the people who keep the need for eugenics alive and well.

  • i grew up on rap, but remember being young as shit and hearing his voice, this is the real deal. the only thing that is real

  • hit 7 when you're watching this, just saying

  • Is the audio just a very little bit high pitched?

  • It's great to see how many fans of all kinds of music know how great Johnny was. His stuff cuts through all boundaries.

SharksinTheGenePool: If Johnny had started in the 70's, he might have been a punk rocker--and the best of all time at that.

  • Johny is the man!.

  • @Mscatbalu I totally agree. He always was the man! There will never be another musician like him. Rest in peace Johnny, you will forever be in our hearts. I am sure you are entertaining up there in heaven.

  • I love 80's glam metal and i love Johnny Cash. I got the new Bootleg Vol 2 Johnny Was the Man. Johnny will always live. We miss you johnny Rest in peice.

it feels like me and my other metal lovers are the only people who still love this type of music at 16.

  • It's Hobo music.

    "I don't care if ya dodaododado.... :)

  • One of my very favorite tunes of this American musical icon.

  • nothing like stumblin through YouTube drunk and finding gems like this

  • Gone but never forgotten

  • GENIUS!

  • Yiha !

  • Man in Black rules!!! His legend LIVES!!!

  • Anybody that says anything bad about this man, has no clue how awesome he was.

  • Dude. He fucking MURDERED those harmonicas! Switching then that quick! Awesome shit!

  • @impreprex1979

murdered in a good way im hoping? he nailed it!

  • @impreprex1979 fk'n a right

  • never realized how fuckin cool he was until i saw the Movie!

  • @STREETNAMEWILEY I hate to say it, but that movie (if you're referring to the recent one with J. Phoenix), did him no justice.

All it focused on was the bad in his life. It barely touched on what he contributed to the world through his music in a positive (though admittedly dark) vein.

Don't get me wrong, it was a great movie, but it wasn't the whole story either.

  • @TheWitchOvAgnesi I wanted to it to focus a little on his Mid 70s career and his Comeback aswell, Not just the 50s cash was more then just the 50s and 60s, He covered almost 50 years.

  • @hambone9119 Good points. It would have been cool to have it be a biopic of his life versus just his demons and the limited age range you described.

  • @hambone9119 Yeah but thats the difference between a documentary and a movie. A movie needs a central conflict and the conflict best suited for the job was his romance with June. When they got married that conflict resolved and there was no more story there. A lot of biopics neglect this and what happens? The bottom falls out 2/3s in. Not to mention the movie was cramped as it was. Fifteen years is a lot to cover in two hours.

  • @TheWitchOvAgnesi

You're right, but what it did do was turn a sad-ass, new generation on to just how fuckin' awesome JC was, I mean is.....

  • @mowntainmancr You indeed found the silver lining. Good point! :-)

  • @153 - 201 - Love it!!!!!

  • Absolutely amazing, this has to be the greatest live performance ever surely, he is so inspirational, I wish I was there that day even though I would have probably been murdered

  • Super great performance!!

  • Anyone know the keys of the two harmonicas he's using?

  • Johnny Cash is as original as they come with his unmistakable vocal style, and his bond with those castaways of society.

  • Johnny Cash was a singer who went to hell and back and proved he could sing for all generations. His voice was truly a gift from God, May he and his beloved June Rest in Peace.

  • The Best !!! R I P Mr. Johnny Cash :)

  • love it

  • Johnny's double harp skills are nasty on Orange Blossom.......he makes it look easy !!

  • @oldirtyjerz

I am A JC music lover. But unfortunately, the harp music was dubbed. He could play, but not that good.

  • anyone with balls enough to play at San Quentin is hardcore.

  • @compster48 Well said mate

  • it doesn't matter how old you are or how long you've been listening to good music, it sounds fresh every time

  • it breaks my heart when people dont appreciate simple but touching, clever and perfect songs like this. it came naturally to J.R and his music alone could teach our younguns to apreciate the life they live and the music in their ears a bit more and hopefully realise music (if thats what you want to call it) today wouldnt be what it is today if it wasn't for the legands that were around back in the day! thankyou J.R x
