@CollinBoerema Did you add jQuery in the head section? Alert shows when jQuery will work fine.

if you can also tell me how to restrict upload to only specific file types..for example if i want to allow only jpg files to be uploaded ..how do i do tht?..

@mazoob Add a variable in the uploading configuration section:

'fileExt' : '*.jpg;*.gif;*.png',

It will accept jpg, gif and png formats only.
